Chomsky. Miles would suck Noam off this instant if given the opportunity.
That would be wrong, but I do respect Chomsky's views. A very sound man.

If you could fill me in on the special knowledge and insight that the queen has into Australian military affairs I'd be most grateful? Surely you have somebody over there who can wander around in clothes that cost about as much as it would take to properly kit out an infantry unit. The main job requirement seems to be waving and asking questions to learn more about the normal people and what their lives are like.
I believe a male hermit would be out of touch enough to have to ask basic questions about life, and would probably have forearms strong enough to wave for extended periods of time due to frequent masturbation.
True but shes our head of state and costs us fuck all and doesnt stick her nose in as a live in one would.
Plus if we get attacked by Indonesia, we want your asses over here fighting for us cause they outnumber us somewhat.;)

If you look at the behavioral psychology of economics Capitalism is THE WAY. It encourages innovation, hard work, etc. Socialism doesn't give you incentive to work, quite the opposite actually, but you guys just never will figure that out because you're so busy hating those evil tricky rich people who stole their money and land and have handicapped the system to suit themselves.
The Nazis were socialist?

I think you got that one WRONG.;D
Re: Are you for or against the monarchy?
...a bit surprised, I thought you subjects loved your Queen... a big contrast with Japan, where hardly anyone question their royalties...
anyways, I vote 'for'. So why the heck a poor fella from a third world country voting for British monarchy? that's a good question.

Would you like her? With the government looking for cuts during the recession, sub-letting a queen could be useful. You'd probably get her for nothing as long as you agree to cover the private jets and the palaces.

...'I wanna be a billionaire, so freakin' bad...
...sleeping next to Oprah and the Queen'...
Before you folks think dirty, I said 'next to' not 'with' and there's a heck lot difference between the two... ...just kiddin' babes...
Naw, Mr.superheavyrhun, I think I'll just take the jets and the palaces... Seriously, is it that bad? If the royalties lose respect from their loyal subjects, then it's time for abolision or abdication or whatever you call it. In the first place, that's what they are for right, to unite their people and the country. It's just that from an outsider far away, Great Britain is known for it's monarchy more than anything else so it's hard to imagine GB without the it...
Re: Are you for or against the monarchy?
I think that people who call themselves "subjects" have no self respect. So I wouldn't like to live in a monarchy.
Other than that, I believe that all things considered dictatorship or authoritarian regime doesn't have to be worse for the people than democracy. Of course it's worse in some aspects but in some it can be superior.

Yes, they were and they didn't hide it (just what NSDAP stands for)*. Their policy of coercing the people in only one right direction is similar to what present day leftists do (they call themselves "liberals" for some reason). A book was written about this - I don't like to legitimize Wikipedia by quoting it but here it is:
Liberal Fascism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
*But they weren't communists.

You have just walked in a circle whilst pulling a rope. Having passed through your own loop you have now created a knot. Good luck with untying it.
It may seem like that. I probably wouldn't mind living under the rule of a wise dictator who is a humble person (again, a paradox of sorts). Probably, if I were born in 1930s, I would be more or less OK under the rule of general Franco in Spain.
With monarchy you have all that "subjects", aristocracy, the idea that the country is a property of a family,... really that feels humilitating.
