As mike Tyson said " everyone has a plan till their punched in the face"
Heard him on radio and he said that he has been moving and training at a lot of different locations and that he needs to fight in one training camp. He wants his next fight in the UK preferably against Garcia.
Hard to believe that he still has absolutely no inside game. Watching him hurt now and all he's doing is either earmuffing right in the centre line or trying to run?
People are quickly forgetting here how much Roach did to transform Khan. He was a walking KO ready to happen. Roach taught him how to work from the outside, to protect his chin (cuz he knew it was glass), and made him into a fighter we were soon talking about fighting the best in the world. Hell, he even changed his training regime to build him stronger from the ground up, legs, core strength...to be able to withstand more and stronger punches. But ultimately when it comes right down to it, you can either eat hard shots or you can't. And alas, we all know that answer.
It doesn't help either when plan B,C, D or wtfever goes right out the window the second you get touched no matter how much ahead you are in the match... that is all on Khan. Roach did a hell of a job with him. But at the end of the day, it is what it is.
sorry but this is a bit ridiculous, when Roach got Khan to a world title at 140 he was a genius, but now that Khan has two back to back losses it's not Amir's own damn fault, no, it's Roach's, sorry but gtfo of here with that shit, it's the same bullshit that happened when Hatton picked up Mayweather Sr, the blame was taken off of Hatton and placed right on Sr, Khan can't block worth two shits, he has a weak chin, and he doesn't know how to tie up when hurt, his fault no one elses that hasn't applied himself to improve where he clearly lacks
He doesn't accept those flaws, or any flaws. He's convinced himself that he's the best when he' not. If you're the best and you lose, it MUST be someone else's fault because you're the best. Unfortunately from the very early days he was surrounded by people telling him he was the best. When he was fighting Willy Limond and Michael Gomez he had a touch of humility about him and after every fight said "I'm young, I've still got a lot to learn but it's going well". Now he seems to think he has nothing to learn and he's the greatest. The lack of humility and introspection is going to be his undoing I think. He keeps talking about stepping up and fighting Mayweather but the reality is he's nowhere near the same league as Mayweather yet. And unless he starts accepting his faults and working on them he never will be.
Trouble with Khan, and it always has been,is where His Head is left, because of Bad Posture.
Garcias performance was great and the performance of his trainers. Whoever trained him watched plenty of Khan fights and worked on that punch. He was trying that all the way through the fight. It caught him eventually and hit him perfectly. Just like the Prescot fight accept Khan got back up a couple of times and showed real heart. I loved the Garcia fight.
Where does Garcia go next and who should Khan fight.
Im guessing Khan will do a Froch and fight another guy close to the top instead of a tune up fight.
Froch and Khan may not like each other but they have the same attitude, wanting to fight the best.
I would like to see Garcia fight Mathesse. Both hard punchers coming off impressive wins.
Watching the replay. He literally thur two 'superman' punches early. Plants fully on left lead and lifts anchor while leading. Ugh. Khan was touching gloves after the 1st?!
Love Garcia instructions "get crispy" ;D
What a load of crap.
He's shit and that's it. Big deal he has speed. He lost to a shit fighter
Going back to the early part of his career, Khan was dropped by Limmond the signs were there, lets
not kid ourself s. So when he gets stopped for a second time, why all the shock and fuss he may
come back. And he may win a another World title, and don't be shocked he gets sparked AGAIN.
yea cause Steward is a fraud as well  with the likes of the following on his resume,
Hearns, Lewis, Wlad, McClellan, Cotto, Taylor, Chavez, Holyfield, McCall, Cintron, Benitez, Moorer, De La Hoya, Toney, and Gamboa
you seriously have no clue what you're talking about buddy haha
I remember Freddy Roach giving Wlad shit for having fired him and he said something to the extent of "I tried to teach Wlad how to clinch/tie up and he didn't stay with me long enough to learn but I bet he wishes he would have now" it was after the Corrie Sanders fight.
Roach is a great trainer, but even great trainers don't always click with every fighter. Trainers have a lot to think about as well, and a short time in which to relay information to their fighter. I don't blame Roach for Khan's loss because Freddy brought Khan back from the Prescott defeat, but in order for Khan to improve I think he's going to need something to change.
