Tito i know you are a very knowledgeable fight fan but to group fighters from Mexico and California and omitting Nevada and the James Brown of this entire bullshit "PBF" is just you being bitter that another of your countrymen got destroyed by a Mexican fighter. It used to be a competitive rivalry but now it's a Puerto Rican death sentence. So I know your flag in at half mast in tribute to the morning of yet another massacre to a Mexican. The good thing is that another star wil rise in your beautiful country.
Re: Garcia loses title on the scales.
You want to see a lame explanation well here it is. My advice to this know it all trainer is to tell his fighters not to fight at a weight they cant make FFS. His piss poor excuse is as embarrassing as his fighters consistently having problems with weight and I could give two shits about geography.

Is this a trend from these young, Tex-Mex or Mexicali fighters?
I mean c'mon...... where's the discipline here?
It's a total lack of respect for the sport of boxing and its fans, who pay good money to see a professional boxing match between two professionals, at the agreed upon weight limit.
Not much more you can say about that.
Nope out of the PBF page which includes paying to opponrnt a sum to carry on with the fight and PBF mind game.

Quote: at the agreed upon weight limit. hmmmm do you not agree catch weight ala Pacman and now PBF are unprofessional? You can thank Pac and PBF for this new climate. Miss weight and indirectly creaste a catch weight fight........ this trend is not coming from the lfighter with the lower purse.

I'm not defending Tito's comments at all but yours is just as dumb if not worst, first off it's Dominican not Domunican, and Tito said that they're both Mexican regardless of where they come from, although that's a bit retarded because well different lifestyle different customs, different everything when you're raised in Texas compared to growing up in Cali
as for what you said, Cuban's, Dominican's, and Puerto Rican's all hold the fact that we're Latino in common but how does Haiti fall in there apart from the fact that it's located in the Caribbean =/
just sayin

TEX MEX thing? these guys r from Cali.. if a fighter comes in overweight, what's a venue supposed to do?... It's a fighter thing..not a mexican thing u jackass.
Why r Mexicans kicking the shit out of Puerto Ricans in big fights? must be a Tex Mex thing...
It is becoming a habit with fighters from this region, Garcia, Rios, Chavez. Apart from Purdy, I cant remember the last time a European fighter didnt make weight for a big fight. Did Hatton ever fail to make weight? I mean if he could make weight, anyone could.
oh..now it's a habit... alot of guys don't make weight, u know how stupid that sounds..."watch out,ur fighting one of those regional fighters"...lol.. u and Tito make a good couple... blind leading the dumb.
Yea a lot of people dont make weight. But Im talking about world title fights. I dont know stats at all but when Im hear about it it seems to be fighters from that region. I have no idea why you are getting so defensive. Im just saying it as I see it. Alvarez is another one. Thats 4 of the biggest boxers from the region who do it.
what region are you referring to? Mexico, California or Nevada? Be specific and last I recall PBF is neither Tex-Mex or Mexicali !! Chavez is from Mexico .....
Fighters of Mexican decent who regularly fight in the southern states. I didnt mention Flloyd in my comment.
Re: Garcia loses title on the scales.
Garcia could have seriously hurt juanma , hope he was heavily fined.

He was fined 150 thousand dollars which I believe went to Lopez. I just cant get over his brothers explanation for his fighters not making weight. In all my years of following the sport I do not believe I have ever heard anything so inept.

Addicted... after all the shit I endure from (some) ignorant Mexican posters, I can be excused for my one and only slur back at them. And sure... I'm pretty bummed out about the way the P.R. pro fighting ranks have gone south in the past few years. And I admit as much. What's there to argue? It's all there in black and white.

Ignoring trends doesn't make them go away, insect.
But if it'll make you feel any better, maybe it's just a big ol' coincidence.
