I thought Scott beat Glazkov by a good number of rounds regardless of the verdict. Did you see the fight?

With regard to Thomspon, if he comes in the same shape he has against Price twice now, Scott jabs to a decision if he gets out of the first five rounds.

The problem with Mansour, outside of his tendency to get put in jail, is that he hasn't stepped up the competition. He needs to take a risky fight. In my opinion, it's now or never.

He won't out jab Thompson. Thompson has an 81 1/2" reach and Scott has a 76" reach....so yeah guess again

The best advice I can give Price is to actually throw a few jabs instead of generally wafting your left hand in the general direction of your opponent's face like you're trying to tickle him under the chin... and loosen up!

You might also want to ditch your management team who have made a complete mess of matching you with opponents. You don't go from fighting a succession of fat British journeymen to sharing a ring with a top ten contender who has fought for a world title in the recent past.

Start again, fight often. British level fighters, get some wins, then step up a bit again. He needs more fights and lots of them.

Forrest lost to Mayorga twice.

These were higher level opponents and the losses came at more advanced stages in these guy's careers, but their careers were far from over.

Price made it longer in the fight and scored a pretty solid knockdown and vs any other fighter he would have won at that point...a 9 count for Tony Thompson is a pretty rare thing, rarer than Thompson getting knocked down which I believe only Wladimir has done.


I did like how Thompson celebrated though, I found it funny. He said he was going to go home and break his wife's hip (implying from having rough sex with her). Funny dude Tony Thompson.

Comparing Price's defeat to Wladimir Klitschko's is not accurate as Klitschko had already won the WBO heavyweight title when he lost to Brewster and Sanders.

#1 No, I never even really took time to form an opinion of whether or not I like David Price, all I know is he's an easier guy to like than Haye or Fury.

#2 Sure Wlad already had a high pedigree having won a title before, but 15 fights in and fighting one of the better heavyweights out there is nothing to make fun of. Thompson has been avoided for a large majority of his career and for good reason. He's a 6'6 southpaw, with top defense, and a solid chin. Wladimir Klitschko is the ONLY guy to KO Tony Thompson and the only other loss Thompson has besides the 2 to Wlad was waaaaay back in his 5th pro fight. So that says something about Thompson. I'm comparing the mental/psychological state of Price to the Wlad that lost to Brewster and it's a spot on comparison.

#3 Let's see back to back defeats on the way up? Hall of Famer Carmen Basilio lost back-to-back fights 3 different times in his career before he went on to win the welterweight and middleweight titles. I'm certain there are other cases of this.

#4 Tony Thompson is a very good heavyweight, he's criminally underrated. I'd favor him over pretty much anyone not named Klitschko.

According to boxrec.com the back to back defeats he had were in his 27th fight - Hardly on the way up. But I suppose a fighter had to fight a lot more on his way up in them days as world title shots were harder to get than they are now. You had to earn your stripes but nevertheless I will give you that.

David Price has had KO back to back defeats

My point (And I didn't really explain it properly) is that there is not a fighter in the history of boxing that has had KO back defeats ON THERE WAY UP and gone on to achieve anything in boxing

Scott is a very smart fighter and technically looks one of the best heavyweights out there. The trouble is he hasnt been in with a good big heavyweight. Glaskov is good and I think Scott won that fight and I think hell beat Chisora easily too, but put in against a good fighter who is the same size or bigger I have to think Scott will be found out because he cannot punch for shit.
