This article points out two obvious facts:
1. Just how horrendous and borderline criminal this old lady's scoring of the fight was.
and.....
2. That no matter what Canelo fans want to think, it was a blowout and a shutout.... plain and simple. No "ifs, ands, or buts". Not since Floyd pitched a no-hitter at the hapless (albeit undersized) Juan Manuel Marquez, had he enjoyed such an easy day at the office.
How does one make it to the top of any occupation by being inept? This lady is straight up corrupt. She did this not once but at least twice! And how does an organization find out if someone is corrupt if they don't even investigate? Because they don't care and that's probably got a lot to do with even more corruption. The messed up part is even the 116-112 scorecard was pushing for Alvarez to win and that now somehow seems fair because of the atrocious CJ Ross card. The judges in the Lara/Williams fight were suspended and investigated and this fight was even more one sided. CJ Ross did this twice at the very top level of sports!!!

her score did count! how many dollars were won and lost by her calling it a draw. what would the payouts have been for UD vs MD? how many lives were affected by that? as a judge you have a responsibility beyond the two fighter's records and reputations. there's a $100billion sports gambling industry that relies on fair and impartial judging. and regular citizens who gamble are being robbed when some one doesn't judge the contest fairly and objectively.Quote:

Well as Rocco said, she turned a clear UD into a MD, I have no idea what the betting implications would've been but that certainly affected people. You are sort of posting as if having the fight even isn't unreasonable, at least it reads that way when you keep reinforcing that Floyd still got the nod. 3 kids with downs syndrome could have scored that fight without causing a stir, the fact that 2 of the judges didn't screw up shouldn't give this lady a pass for doing so. Smashup had a great point with the Michael Watson-Eubank rematch as well, bad decisions can have fatal consequences in this sport.Quote:

I completely understand that you just don't want to make a big deal of it and accept bad judging as part of boxing, but there is no reason that it can't be improved in major PPV events in this day and age. This woman has a horrendous track record in big fights over the last ten years, she should have never been hired for this one in the first place. I'm not suggesting there's a lot anyone can do about it now as far as the tax dollars go.
No offence but boxing has not been in the past and probably will not be anytime soon "fair and impartial". if you gamble on boxing you need to be aware there will always be intangibles. And I do not think you can legitimately moan if them intangibles bite you, as that is boxing.Quote:

Gamblers by definition gamble. The best of them will realize what can happen in the sport and factor that in. If you do not, well you do not often see broke bookies and casinos.Quote:

i can only hope that if you should end up in the hospital, are registering your kids for school, are applying for a bank loan OR are flying in a plane...that you have that profession's version of CJ Ross determining outcomes for you.
