Re: Khan can beat Mayweather (maybe)
I never thought Canelo would give Floyd fits but Khan is interesting as he's very active for rounds on end, shoots pretty straight and is lanky and fast. I think it would be more difficult for Floyd to fight khan than it was for him to fight Canelo.
Khan does have some glaring defensive flaws don't get me wrong, I pointed out a few myself in other threads as have many of you. However he's got a good strong fast jab and Floyd as well as pretty much any other boxer in history had always difficulty with a fast stiff jab. So no surprise there.
Re: Khan can beat Mayweather (maybe)
I've said it all along. This is a cracking fight if it happens and if floyd can't ko khan it's going to be a close fight. I think he pushes floyd to the limmit it's very hard to beat speed and khan might just have the fastest hands in boxing, he's noticeably faster than floyd, denffenetly a high risk low reward fight for floyd apart from the ppv numbers floyd will get zero credit for beating khan.

For pure hand speed no one touches Rigondeaux. And just having fast hands isn't enough. Timing your opponent, leg movement/speed, reaction time, ability to not get countered when throwing punches, etc. Floyd has faced fighters with fast hands...Khan just doesn't have the intangibles to beat someone of Mayweather's caliber. I love how some people make it seem like Floyd hasn't seen or will have trouble with something like fast hands or big power. It's his opponents who haven't seen anything close to his movement, defense, skill, and boxing IQ. Floyd is going to badly school Khan.
Re: Khan can beat Mayweather (maybe)
Castillo came the closest to beating Floyd and Oscar almost did it, Judah did well but that was 2006. Cotto was a tough fight for PBF, but Hatton, Marquez, Mosley and Alvarez were all easy pickings. Khan will be lucky to go 5 rounds here.

Yeah thats the other thing, Floyd can soak others power up and stay close enough to turn it to his advantage,that wont fair well for Kahn.

Floyds never faced anyone with khans speed I don't care what you say khans going to give floyd problems he's going to have faster hands and be throwing a lot of punches, if khan can win the 1st few rounds and get into a good rhythm floyds got his hardest fight since Castillo 1. I fully expect floyd to win but it's not going to be easy.

So the formula to give Floyd one of his hardest fights is just hand speed?! Because i fail to see what else Khan brings to the table. Please explain to me what in Khan's extremely underwhelming resume makes you think he will give one of the best p4p fighters of all time such a hard fight? How is he going to find "a good rhythm" against the most intelligent, adaptable fighter in the game...a defensive wizard who specializes in getting his opponents out of rhythm/fight plan.

Well it's obviously not just hand speed but I do think speed is the main thing that will give floyd problems we have seen him in with every other type of fighter and apart from Castillo 1 no one has came close to beating floyd. Khans is not as bad as your making out and I actually think floyd is testing the water with khan cause he's fast and explosive I think if khan gives him a real hard fight he won't go near pacman.
Re: Khan can beat Mayweather (maybe)
Floyd KO Khan 90% certainty
Floyd UD Pac 90% certainty
Floyd beats all.
Floyd=GOAT
There can no longer be any serious doubt.

Maybe yes if he's going to fight pacman, khan would be the perfect fight before him there both faster and have high punch output. Don't get me wrong I think floyd beats them both and I really believe khan will be a harder fight than pacman pacmans too aggressive and will play right into floyds hands, I think if khan sticks to boxing and picks his shots were in for a cracker, he will really push floyd,but I do also think if he struggles with khans speed he doesnt take the pacman fight. Also I could be completely wrong and floyd KOs khan in the 1st round lol
