Yes maybe he should have known better and now everyone does know better not to rely on Haye but having good faith in someone to actually turn up and fight is a commendable attribute not something that should be used to criticise Fury.
Like ai said this show might not even happen. Arena is fucked and no opponents.
#1 Because David Haye "retired" after fighting Wlad. Since fighting Wlad Haye fought Dereck Chisroa and nobody else.
#2 Haye always has an excuse it took him
4 YEARS to fight Wlad
#3 If Fury thought getting a fight with David Haye where Haye actually shows up and they have a ref and they fight. Was going to be an easy thing then well that just goes to show you how fucking stupid Tyson Fury actually is.
#4 Tyson Fury put his trust and blind faith on fighting ONLY David Haye with 0 backup/contingency plan and yes that makes Fury laughably gullible
Would it have been a step up in competition? Sure, but then again ANYONE would be a step up considering who Fury has fought recently (which is NOBODY)
somebody needs to create a thread -
Who is stoopider?
option a - @ross when it comes to tyson fury/David Haye
option b - @El Kabong when it comes to Wladimir Klitchko (and at times david haye)
i think it would be a close run thing coz their are both pretty stoopid about it

He hasnt fought "nobody"
Johnson lost a 3 round fight in prizefighter? Big deal! So would Bernard Hopkins! When Tyson fought Johnson, he had extended Vitali and gave Vitali more problems than he did Tyson.
When Tyson fought Cunningham, Cunningham ws coming off a disputed loss to Adamek. Most have Adamek in the top 5 and he has a clear win over Arreola, who is due to challenge for the vacant title!
Tyson is leading up to a title challenge. Hes not someone whos lost a shot and needs to fight a name to get back there. Not many will want to risk their position without getting a good payday for it.
So to clear things up fury fought two guys both coming of losses who haven't really shown any power at HW , and both had inflated ratings, and he managed tp get floored by one of them.
As iv pointed out getting floored by a smaller fighter doesnt seem to mean much later in a fighters career;)
As for fighting people coming off losses, even Vitali has done that in a title defence!
Vitali has beaten many good fighters , as for your opinion that is a good thing to get floored by a 210lb light punching for CW when your weigh 245lbs, well that's very interesting indeed.
No comment ross ?

Its like you dont understand the physics or mechanics of a punch or takng a clean flush punch.
There is an old saying in boxing that anyone over 200lb can hurt you. For all you know and so eone else has pointed this out in another thread a while ago that Cunningham was losing 10lb of water to get down to cruiser. If that is the case then he was weak at the weight. Look at the two fights with Adamek. At cruiser Cunningham got dropped left right and centre. At heavy Adamek couldnt really hurt him, even though he now weighed 223lb.
Cassius Clay weighed nearly 30lb heavier than Henry Cooper but ot dropped just as hard. He even needed to cheat to stay in the fight whereas Fury fought his way through.
Give it up with your feeble rubbish;)
How much do you weigh? Lets say 200lb.
Would you be keen to take a free left hook or over hand Right from Felix Sturm who has a similar KO percentage to Steve Cunningham? ;D
If you say yes, anyone who has boxed will tell you that you are a moron as regardless of how small someone is or how hard the hit, if you give them the right target area and they land, you will get hurt or stunned.

Yeah.....my question isn't that but more along the lines of "Why would Tyson Fury allow himself to be hit with a clean flush punch from Steve Cunningham to begin with?"
So yeah if you could answer that, that'd be great :thumb:

If you open your eyes and read you will see I replied to Sulky Al.
For you. Fury fought like an absolute helmet. I remember watching the fight with my missus and I was pissed off and this is the gods honest truth, I actually turned o her and said "if he carries on like that he's going to get caught with an over hand right!"
Believe that or not but I swear on my unborn babies life that is what I said!
He wouldn't do that against someone he respected. Look how well he boxed against Johnson. Even Malik Scott has said that Fury had an easier time against Johnson than Vitali did.
Peter Fury couldn't travel to America with him and much like Mike Tyson, he needs that calming, disciplined presence in the corner with him to perform to his best rather than dick around as he was doing early against Cunningham.
Re: The curse of Tyson Fury
So Tyson Fury is psychologically weak, fair enough answer

True, but sadly he doesn't have enough power to knock himself out....which he has tried before

Al your such a little bitch. You beg me for a response and when I do. You have nothing to come back with and reply to someone else.
Do you think you could stand up to a clean punch from Felix Sturm?
;D

Of course but I fail to see what my iron chin has to do with featherfisted Cunningham or glass jawed fury.
