Floyd fought a staggering quality of opposition.
There's no denying that. He fought and beat most all of the greatest fighters of his generation, albeit not always prime but they were still who they were.
But he DID duck Pac! Plain and simple.
He will be remembered for 2 reasons 50 years from now.
1/ As probably the greatest boxer ever up until that time. And..
2/ For the most shameless and disgraceful duck in boxing history with the exception maybe of Riddick Bowe!

Tszyu would've been a great match up, n that one I hold against Floyd, but it was both of their faults, to be honest.
I'm not sure what to think about the Manny fight. I think Manny pursued it hard n I can't tell if Floyd was just trying to build it up or if he just thinks Manny's style will give him problems. I don't think Floyd ducked his way to 45-0 though. He fought tough opposition, much better than say Roy Jones.

Mayweather offered Pac only 40 million. Pac would have gotten no ppv money or any other type of money just the 40 million and that's why Pac said no. Obviously it would have been the most sold ppv in the history of boxing. So why let Floyd take all the ppv money?
Well that was the opening offer, Manny could have easily said "no, fuck you, I want X amount". According to guys who were actually there and involved in the process, Manny's camp didn't even come up with a counter offer, they just said "fuck you" and left negotiations.Quote:

He gets slammed for fighting at catchweights... well, nobody talked shit when Manny made Cotto come down to a catch weight, or when he forced an old DLH to come down to 147, a weight he hadn't been at in 10 years prior.
Floyd gets slammed for turning down 8 million to fight Margarito, but Manny doesn't get shit for turning down 40 million to fight Floyd.

Because it can be at LMW. Canelo is bigger then GGG. A lot of people criticised Canelo as an opponent. TV hype, as it will do, changed a lot of people's minds but most knowledgable boxing fans knew that was an easy opponent for Floyd.
