Re: Floyd ducked his way to 45-0? BS
Floyd fought a staggering quality of opposition.
There's no denying that. He fought and beat most all of the greatest fighters of his generation, albeit not always prime but they were still who they were.
But he DID duck Pac! Plain and simple.
He will be remembered for 2 reasons 50 years from now.
1/ As probably the greatest boxer ever up until that time. And..
2/ For the most shameless and disgraceful duck in boxing history with the exception maybe of Riddick Bowe!

What's the basis for that?
Floyd called him up and offered him 40 million to take the fight. Manny refused the blood test because he was using PEDs.
Every time people talk about Floyd, they say "OH HE'S A PUSSY HE TURNED DOWN 8 MILLION TO FIGHT MARGARITO".
Well if Floyd gets shit for turning down 8 million, how come Pacquiao doesn't get shit for turning down 5 times that much?

You believe this? Somehow, you may have had sharp logic dimmed to favor your love for her... to the ultimate max. ;)

Believe what? That Floyd offered him 40 million? It's been documented by many and confirmed by people who were actually there like Alex Ariza.
Do I believe Manny was using PEDs? Of course I do. If he wasn't, why would his camp send emails to Floyd's camp during negotiations asking A) what would happen if Manny were to test positive and B) if he did test positive, could it be kept a secret? Would a guy who's clean have to ask those questions?

Well that was the opening offer, Manny could have easily said "no, fuck you, I want X amount". According to guys who were actually there and involved in the process, Manny's camp didn't even come up with a counter offer, they just said "fuck you" and left negotiations.
Re: Floyd ducked his way to 45-0? BS
Floyd in recent years has handpicked his fights which is very frustrating. You can say he hasnt but if he was going for legacy there have been much bigger challenges for him. He waited until Canelo looked shit against Trout before fighting him and even then sets a BS catch weight. Floyd would win at 160 let alone 152. But what really frutrates me is he'll fight certain guys at certain weights and not others. Lara is his biggest challenge but wont fight him. Apart from that, probably the biggest fight next to Pac is against GGG who said he would fight at 154 but no chance of that happening either. Martinez a few years back called out Mayweather for a fight at 154.
Floyd is certainly the best boxer around at the moment but to think he fights the best opposition is wrong.

Can you fault Floyd for fighting Canelo, a huge draw, instead of Lara, an unknown who most don't know or care about? The Canelo fight did CRAZY numbers. Floyd/Lara wouldn't have done 1/3rd those numbers.
With Floyd, people hardly ever have a problem with his opponents pre-fight, but when the opponents fail to deliver on everyone's expectation of beating Floyd, all of a sudden the opponent isn't shit and Floyd picked an easy fight. I don't remember anyone complaining that Floyd was moving up in weight and fighting undefeated Canelo.

As far as GGG goes, why should Floyd (who is a natural WW) have to fight the MW champion?
Re: Floyd ducked his way to 45-0? BS
And there's always that double standard with Floyd, too.
He gets slammed for fighting at catchweights... well, nobody talked shit when Manny made Cotto come down to a catch weight, or when he forced an old DLH to come down to 147, a weight he hadn't been at in 10 years prior.
Floyd gets slammed for turning down 8 million to fight Margarito, but Manny doesn't get shit for turning down 40 million to fight Floyd.

Manny has been criticised for catch weights and turning down Floyd, where have you been not seeing any of that?
Stop playing the victim card for Floyd. Grow up and take the criticism like a man. :)

I'm not saying Floyd's a victim. The guy is 45-0 and is the richest athlete on the planet, I doubt he gives two shits about a bunch of mugs discussing how good he is on an internet forum.
But when people say ignorant shit, I have to shut it down.
