And yes, Povetkin was largely at fault as well for accepting the clinches like he did, but the fact remains it was Wlad who should have been warned immediately and forced to box like a professional.
I thought povetkin has been wlads toughest fight, haye was not an easy win at all but povetkin made wladimir very uncomfortable and he held, leaned and wrestled a lot more.. when he did let his punchs go he landed some great shots on povetkin who has a strange abilty to be out on his feet but not fall over :S I actually want to see a rematch with a stricter ref before both of these guys get too old.. I think wladimir would win but it would be a lot closer on the scorecards than anything he has had recently.. I am a povetkin fan though :S
Anyway as leapai i thought it was pretty obvious he was trying but when he was trying to get at wladimir wladimir was hitting him with hard jabs and hooks, he even put him down in round one :S lepai did try to get at him, he even used his samoan bowler punch(it missed :S).. but wladimir has knocked down or at least severly rocked better guys than lepai with quick hooks in the early stages of fights and they all slowed down a bit afterwards.. I dont think it is so easy to charge at wladimir take a hard hook and just keep going...... I dont knwo what people were expecting of leapai he upset boytsov with a good performance in a fight that was meant to make boytsov teh mandatory and he took over this slot, he just inst a world class fight, he tried, I think his tactics were wrong but to be honest he was always going to lose.. No shame in leapais performance in my opinion
really if your fat ass could do better then maybe you are in the wrong job, leapai got paid over a million dollars for this fight... not bad for being a fat loser as some say...
I'm not fat.
ops sorry :S i think i was responding the other guy who said his fat ass could do better than leapai.. I keep forgetting to multi quote or put much effort into my posts at all :S
