Floyd-Cotto II intrigues me, Miguel gave Floyd hell in their first fight and with Roach in his corner maybe he'll do even better. Floyd is a smart fighter, we all know other than the 0 at the end of his record he also loves accolades and being a middleweight champion....really THE middleweight champion would be a great end to his career.
Using VD's warped and stupid logic... why not Floyd-Canelo II? It's all about the money anyway... right? And just like the sun will rise again tomorrow, a second Floyd-Canelo fight would surely draw the millions of incomprehensibly moronic fans who will pay to watch either Canelo or JCC Jr. take a dump. Who cares that Floyd whipped Canelo's ass in the most one-sided, boring affair ever witnessed on PPV. It's all about how many morons are willing to shell out money to watch their ginger-haired hero climb into the ring.
Hey... at least I can go on record saying I'm not really all that interested in watching Floyd-Cotto II. If it happens... great... I'll watch. But Floyd's style is all wrong for Cotto. Cotto brought his A-game... and Floyd still won. No reason to expect anything different this time around.
Difference was.... Cotto actually gave Floyd a fight. All Canelo gave Floyd was a reason to laugh out loud while counting the millions he stole from the public by giving ol' ginger hair a lesson in boxing.
I'm realistic. Cotto's place in the HOF is secure. But there's a limit to what he can and can't accomplish. There are those who want to throw him to the wolves against GGG, a fighter even the bloated JCC Jr. is surely ducking. And Melon Head would surely come into the ring heavier than GGG. But no... it's Cotto who needs to fight GGG or else haters will claim he hasn't done anything.

You're actually right. Puerto Rico is never short on prospects. There just short on prospects who are actually any good. Still waiting on Carlos Negron, Gabriel Bracero, Jorge Maysonet Jr, Kenny Galarza, Luis Cruz, Luis Del Valle, Braulio Santos and Cesar Seda to become that next great Puerto Rican champion.
