His punches won't have the same effect against bigger men like Froch, Ward and even Chavez jr.
If I was GGG's manager I would push hard for a fight at 154 vs Canelo, then Cotto at 160, make a couple of defenses n then vs Ward is a mega fight. I think Ward wins that one though, as he is the larger man and is very versatile n fast. Interesting to see how he takes GGG's punch m if GGG can carry his punch up with him.
If he can land a big punch!
Defensively Ward is superior to everyone he has fought so far. I don't see this fight ever happening, there are easier money fights out there, Ward is too big, and GGG is there to be hit. I think Ward would be a stupid move.
People want Mayweather to fight GG....so why is it so stupid for GG to fight Ward?
Top fighters from America are constantly berated and chided for "not taking risks"......those standards should apply across the board and across the world.
What do you mean top fighters from America? There are only 3 and one of them is pretty much retired and the other 2 will be retired soon. I think there is maybe 2 or 3 Americans in the top 20 fighters in the world so its not like you are riddled with talent
If America isn't riddled with talent then nobody is.
You Brits sure as hell don't have anything.
At least our prospects are YOUNG.
You're jocking a 32 y/o 8 year pro like he was a kid of 22...;D
Why have you got any talent,! yes you have pissing people off Floyd is what he is,
if he was the dogs bollocks he would fight at middle weight.
But he does not want to get hurt, in the 80s all the GREAT fighter faced each other,
may I just say you do talk some crap.;)

If Floyd is a coward for not fighting at middleweight then GG is a bigger coward for not fighting Ward at 168.
Andre Ward single-handedly shut that "GG will fight anybody from 154 to 168" bullshit down.
Thanks to Ward you don't hear that shit anymore;D
Mayweather started at 130 and has TITLES clear to 154.
GG has NEVER defeated ONE reigning champion.
Compare the number of times Mayweather has moved up to the number of times GG has moved up....if you wanna' get a good laugh.
Golovkin better be glad that was Geale hitting him last night.
Re: Which three fighters would you like to see Golovkin face?
I agree, Ward would be a tough fight for GGG. Ward could do a lot to nullify GGG power but it would be great to see how ggg handles Wards style. Cotto v Golovkin would be the shit. Two guys who will not back down regardless of what's going on. If it were anywhere near what I have in my mind it could be a fight of the year candidate.
Kid Choclate would be good to see but I'm big on Quillin and fear he would not do to well against my boy. I don't see GGG backing down from anyone. I think he would fight Floyd tomorrow given the chance but at this point I don't see GGG. Having the ability to do much against Floyd at this point in his career.
I know GGG catches some shit here for various reasons but I seriously think he is going to be a superstar. He is a lot more than power and develops with each fight. I could name a number more I'd like to see him fight but those I feel would be the most interesting

After that absolutely Froch and Ward are the superfights for me.
Why should Floyd go near GG??
Mayweather is a WW.
A better question would be why won't GG go near Andre Ward.
Floyd has moved up from 130 to 154 pounds....winning titles along the way...and you make him out to be a coward.
GG on the other hand..
Is hailed as this beat yet hasn't moved up once and isn't interested in doing so.
You GG fans have to stop calling Floyd.....or anybody....a coward.
What are you talking about? I would never call any top fighter a coward and I agree with all that! Floyd is tiny compared to Golovkin and has never held anything above 150 pounds very well, that's why he shouldn't take the fight. Golovkin going after Ward would be asmaller ask and I'd like to see it, but it's still asking him to give up advantages and do the same thing. It's easy to see why Golovkin would hope to fight Cotto before having to throw all his chips in like that. You talk about his age or w/e, but that's all the more reason he needs to start getting the big money. None of these guys we're talking about are afraid to fight period, how about you just leave that alone.

You know you very much remind the rest of Saddo's of FinitoElDinamita a racist prick who was banned and also didn't like GGG.
If it's racist to not like GG then it must be the same to not like Mayweather.
At least Floyd takes chances.
GG's camp shut that "well fight anybody from 154 to 168" shit down real quit..;D
Andre Ward single-handedly turned that noise off.
No no I didn't say it was racist not to like GGG , I said Finito El Dinamito was a racist prick, and he didn't like GGG.
You wont get long here , you cant help yourself.

Golovkin is now 32, he keeps on knocking people out, but there is something still missing for me, and I think that is a lack of name fighters on his resume. It would be a good start to get Cotto on his list, but Cotto is not a MW. Technically he is, but he is a small man up there. So my question is, if you could put Golovkin in with 3 fighters in the next 2 years (probably his peak years), then who would you choose as the opposition?
he doesn't have a resume he has a record
Re: Which three fighters would you like to see Golovkin face?
1. Cotto - WBC - RING
Earn some money and raise his profile
2. Soliman - IBF
Take a breather, pick up a belt
3. Quillin - WBO
An actual middleweight with pop and ability but Ironically also probably a real chance to shine in stopping him spectacularly.
Then he will have truly cleaned out the division before challenging himself elsewhere.
Re: Which three fighters would you like to see Golovkin face?
Tricky for GGG as it seems the fighters with the biggest money are below him but in all honesty, the only person I see moving up to face GGG is Erislandy Lara, as he has lost some steam in his career and could do with taking a big risk fight.
But anyway, ideally of course GGG would want to unify (Cotto/or Quillin) then cash in on some smaller guys (Floyd/ Alvarez) ala Hopkins but then take the challenge(s) above him (Froch, Ward, or Chavez Jnr) that would be better for his legacy.
From a financial point of view and as realistic as I can fathom; I guess it would have to be Quillin, Alvarez then Chavez. Although it would be excellent if Cotto would take the fight as it keeps GGG firmly in the Latin quarter, which can only be a good thing.

GG has fought enough smaller guys....He won his vacant title from a Jr MW...a shot one at that.
Time for him to take some risks.
I don't know why the bar is set so low for this guy.

"Take a breather pick up a belt"
Hahahaha
His entire career is a breather.
Dude is 32 years old..he should press the accelerator NOT the brakes.
I never hear ya'll say Floyd should take a breather.....hmmmm.
Even GG's fans are carefully managing his slow-motion career.
Re: Which three fighters would you like to see Golovkin face?
Floyd earns $40 million per fight, GGG has never had a 7-figure payday yet.
GGG is the B-side against any current PPV "star," that's why it's convenient to currently swerve him. For a foreigner to do 8000+ tickets at Madison Sqaure Garden is impressive. He's clearly getting closer to forcing his way into the big leauge.
Re: Which three fighters would you like to see Golovkin face?
Is this legit or a mistake?
Miguel Cotto - Boxer
I can't find any confirmation elsewhere so my guess is its a misunderstanding by a site mod. I nearly sprayed powerade all over my laptop.

That sucks but it looks like it may happen.
