Peter Quillin vacates WBO title, wants bigger challenges at 160

Quillen may have defended his decision but he has not explained it. It is a gamble, i hope he does not get knocked off course with this decision.

@Fenster was right. This was a power play by Haymon. That's all. Even if you assume Jacobs is a bigger name than Korobov, even if a fight with Quillin is a main event level fight in Brooklyn, which I'm not sure about, considering Quillin's fought once this year, and it was against Konecny, and has never head-lined a fight, but even assuming all that, given the split between champion and challenger, they'd have to pay Jacobs something like $2mm to Peter's $1.4mm. $3.5mm for a fight with Jacobs? Not happening on Showtime. No way.

So, it makes no sense.
