Yeah, no doubt his opponent was very wet behind the ears but I think it's quite telling that Martin Jackson didn't jump on him right away. So either the kid had some pop or Jackson doesn't trust himself very much in the ring. If that's the case, then stunning Martin early will help out too.....do like Cus told Ali and like RJJ did....in the first round just once set your feet and get in a good hard clean punch to A) win the round (hopefully) and B ) to see how he handles it.
I think the right cross will be there for you and I believe your left hook will really throw him for a loop.
This guy is always circling to his right....like George Foreman, you can use your hook to put him in line for your right cross, and also he could just walk right into one of your hooks if you're able to sucker him in.

The guy that lost hasn't a good a grasp of distance and range as does the other guy. So he'd step back to far and then his punches would fall short.
When you fight this guy be aware of where your left foot is in relation to his. I would suggest keeping your left foot just inside his, so your are shaded well to your right. When he moves in, comes forward, pivot to your right- even if you slide back turn to your right- and throw your right hand and come back with a left hook. He has a quirk of keeping his head cocked towards his right shoulder and his left shoulder down. When you pivot to your right he will turn to look at you- this will create a lane for your right hand, just over his left shoulder.

I just watched that again. Tam, my friend, there is no reason to let this guy even hit you. Watch him; he winds up every punch he throws. Even his jab, he pulls back his shoulder before he throws it. Don't pull back or step straight back; stay just at the edge of punching range. When he draws the shoulder back, push off your back foot and stuff your jab on him, circle right, throw the right hand, left hook.
Cheers guys I've taken all of this on board and appreciate your responses. I was 14 stone 12 2 weeks ago and I weighed in today at 14 4, so I'm back on the weight already. I've got to be 14 at the heaviest for the one a few weeks later so everything is going really well. This is this most confident I've felt going into the ring because I know it's the hardest I've trained. Can't wait for fight night now.
Re: I'm fighting 29th November

You'll do perfect, use your mind, picture landing your punches, picture your success....know it will happen. You are in shape, you've got film on this cat, you'll be successful Big Tam be a bad man, be mean, throw with bad intentions, this guy can't handle you.

Re: I'm fighting 29th November
Lost on points, was a tough fight. I got told on arrival that it was a title fight so had to do an extra round, he was a big lad. Was close fight but got knocked down off balance in the third and that was the difference. He was a lot bigger than me, im far too small for cruiserweight, in the new year i have to get to 175. It was a tactical fight and it was hard to get inside. Im all good though, hopefully have a video soon. Gutted though.
