Re: What do you think of sport hunting?
Sport and trophy hunting I am against. In my area we have an over population of deer who often starve during the winter months. A couple towns hire professional hunters to thin the population. The meat is given to charity or the hunters take it. States where hunting is serious make stringent laws about it. If you kill an animal just to kill it you can do time but more often you lose your license and face big fines. If your in the boonies and feeding your family I see no problem with it. If you hunt purely for sport you are a prick. I personally have taken down a deer but will never do it again. I was hunting with some friends in Maine who do rely on the meat but killing animals is not my cup of tea.

Yes
Also think about this...what is more humane? A cow/pig/chicken cooped up in a stall so tiny they can't move around and then they are killed. Or a deer lives a life outdoors, roams free, and then boom is shot and killed by a hunter.
Which life would YOU rather have?

I would think so, but I think anyone who is against hunting is probably an unreasonable person anyway.
I think even vegetarians need to acknowledge hunting as an integral part of human history.
Anyone who supports sport hunting is a cunt though.

I never hunted, although I used to go spearfishing a few years ago, but to me hunting (as spearfishing) would require at least three conditions:
1. A considerable degree of difficulty (no pompous tourists on pay-hunt safaris).
2. What you catch is edible and you actually intend to eat it.
and 3: it's not an endangered species.
Were foxes classed as vermin over there?
They are here, you can kill em, they even have bounties at times in some areas.
I'm in Spain. They usually issue licenses to cull fox and wild boar populations. Boars cause quite a few road accidents in my area.

If there's one thing that gives me great pleasure it's seeing those Spanish bullfighting cocksuckers get a horn up their ass or into their heads.
Re: What do you think of sport hunting?
Boars can do big damage. The problem in the Southern United States is a lot of hog farms have escapees and those hogs that escape turn feral in a matter of days, they develop tusks and coarse hair and they are constantly eating and digging up land. The bad thing about the formerly domestic hogs is they are usually really really big.
Hunters will lose dogs hunting boar, that is just a fact of life regardless of if you put safety vests on your dogs too. Those hogs gore and bite and they are mean as fuck.

God damn I didn't know that. Yeah wild boars are pretty nasty. I saw a couple of hunting videos years ago of samoans in hawaii who hunted them with knives. Crazy stuff
