Sometimes I do not know who is worse Bill or Max?

You see Adam, I retired undefeated, meaning that I never lost a Professional bout.
I have my integrity and legacy. I could have come back to fight Ingemar Johansson,
and they wanted to give me half of Sweden.
I said no.
It's easy to say no, when you have integrity.
Only a 'clown' would come back to fight for money, when he knows he has no chance
in the world to win.
Get me some Japanese Wrestler to fight as well................:D
No quoting this time... Are you trying to tell us that you're the reincarnation of Marciano? ???
Re: Rocky Marciano ~ 'A Fight Between Cassius Clay and Me Would Have Been Horrible'
if he is, it is BS City, as I am the reincarnation of the Rock.
Re: Rocky Marciano ~ 'A Fight Between Cassius Clay and Me Would Have Been Horrible'
The problem Marciano would've had against Ali would be 'Cuts', Ali would cut fighters up. I think the Frazier/Marciano comparison gives leeway to thinking Rocky might've got some shots in, but his strength was the right hand and the only two times Ali was seriously hurt was when he got caught flush by "Enry's 'Ammer" and when Smokin' Joe caught him in the first fight in round 15. Both LEFT hooks!

I think the young 60's Clay has a good chance to stop Marciano on cuts or otherwise win by decision is the most likely scenario.
Sure, he was hit by his opponents as soon as they got in range, and sure if Cooper could spark him, so could Rocky.
But aside from punchers chance, the young Clay's speed and his massive range advantage would allow Clay to basically pick the little plodder apart.
If scrawny big mouth Clay could hold up against Sonny Liston, I could not bring myself to bet on Marciano.

Oh come on Brock... I rip on Ali/Clay all the time, but even if you believe in Marciano's ability to find and knock Clay, you can't seriously deny that Clay would do a paint job on him either and bust him up real bad.
Re: Rocky Marciano ~ 'A Fight Between Cassius Clay and Me Would Have Been Horrible'
Yeah but Marciano was 185lbs, over 15 rounds Clay hardly ever failed to wear down an opponent that size to be completely objective about it.

I've always had problems using statistical arguments with regards to Marciano because his numbers are not representative.
He beat all of his opponents and stopped most of them. But this has to be tempered with the fact that he only ever even fought about 12 opponents which were over 200lbs and every single one of those were utter bums with no relevance.
None of this lends credit for or against his chances against Ali, so it really all comes down to opinion.
Rocky was a tough bastard but Clay fought superior competition as much as it pains me to say that. Rocky's style was that of a little plodder, he was NO Mike Tyson by any measure. Clay was really the first HW boxer to get up on his toes, get his work done and try to get out of there at the first sign of danger. He was still very scrappy but in one of those rare moments for his defence I feel he has to be considered as kind of like the prototype for what we see today, tall mobile fighters who try to keep their opponent at range.
I never seen anything that convincing in Rocky's performance which leads me to believe he has anything but the punchers chance which I already gave him credit for.
Henry might have wasted Clay, but Henry also got belted out the next round too. If Marciano was better than Cooper, he was not that much better.

Rocky Marciano
There is no way that Cassius could hit me. He was too tall, and I was way down here.
He would only be able to peck out with light left-jabs, and his right-hand would have been
neutralized.
If he came in too close, I would be able to deliver my 'ball-smashers' just under his
belt-line.

Rocky would have slaughtered Henry Cooper.

Trivia
Why have we never seen Rocky Marciano and Lou Costello together...... ?
Could they be, the same person.

And that's why it's plausible that Rocky might knock that little whippet out.
He got smashed by Doug Jones, another good LHW of the day also.
We should be able to concur with some certainty that the Ali who beat Foreman could have easily slaughtered MArciano.
