Sorry, this fight was built all about how Manny was going to take Floyd out of his comfort zone... Constant pressure, was finally gonna crack Floyd and his DEFENSE... Manny is so great that he will be the one to make Floyd uncomfortable and knock his ass out!!! With his relentless attack... He dominated so many opponents with his un-relentless attack and was unstoppable... Manny was the GUY!!! Sorry to disappoint, but that was never going to happen.
Why you ask? While Floyd has great defense, he also has just enough offense. Is it exciting, absolutely not... Floyd is a MASTER boxer, hit the other guy just enough and not get hit. This guy on the video obviously watched the fight but did not WATCH the fight... It was what was expected... When you are not a very good defensive fighter (Manny), and you taste the skill of the other guy, you don't engage much. You know that you can't win the fight by engaging with Floyd... I think all fighters who get in the ring with Floyd, realize this quickly... While they can remain in the fight because Floyd won't take aggressive chances, they know they don't have a chance because he is a great counter puncher... Floyd will sit back and take a couple of "offensive" right hands, waiting for you to make a mistake and then capitalize on your mistakes.
Seriously, people don't think Floyd is a all time great because he doesn't "stalk" anyone, why should he??? They call it running... He makes people miss and goes back into the middle of the ring waiting for you to make a mistake... Yes, as he has gotten older, he has learned the fine art of holding and other skills, but who hasn't once their skills diminish a little.
Manny was supposed to be the one who stopped all this nonsense, instead he just became another puncher who didn't have the "skills" to deal with Floyd's formula to being one of the great "boxers" of our lifetime... Remember the sweet science is: Hit and don't get hit....
