I was really close to putting money on him to win in the first or second round but I lost my bet on the football so didn't want to risk it
Great stuff. Sublime matchmaking after the pointless Eubank ego massage.
after all my worries of not beiong able to watch this fight, i fell asleep during the gavin mcdonnell fight
did Jeter land a punch? He really was poor
No Jeter was utter shite, its easy to look good against shite. O'Sullivan will be different, he will give it a good and im interested to see if Eubank can stand up to pure power. Boxing ability is in favour of Eubank but as I said before if he stands and trades it will make it interesting. Two great fights Joshua-Whyte and Eubank - O'Sullivan.
Luke Campbell and Dickhead Bellew are both on the bill so far too with opponents TBC
I dont think there will be any issues with Eubank taking O Sullivans power.
Look at his records and look at the only two recognisable names on there. One is a light middle whos been stopped a few times and Spike went 12 rounds with him (Matthew Hall)!
The other is Saunders who he didnt win a single round against.
Only one judge made Eubank the loser against Saunders. It was a split. It only needed one more judge to call Eubank the winner. The judges couldnt even decide who won that fight! That was Eubank pacing himself in his first 12 rounder and first fight past 8 rounds.
Eubank has been in with big punching world level fighters in hard sparring like Froch, De Gale, Groves for instance. He takes big punches in sparring.
The Matthew Hall fight proves that O Sullivan isnt the massive puncher hes being made out to be at all. He doesnt even have an impressive KO ratio at domestic level either for a massive puncher. 15 ko's from 22 wins at domestic level? 68%. That might be a good ratio if hed been campaigning at world level for a few years but thats domestic level fighters and the one fighter who was any good he lost every single round.
Fair play, for a "Title contender ", Bellew fights the TBA & TBC Brothers quite a lot doesn't he? No doubt after he sparks out some Lithuanian cab driver with a record of 12 wins 40 losses in the later rounds who weighs about a stone
less, he'll talk about how hard he's trained for this fight (blood, sweat, tears, blah, blah, blah) and how he's
ready for anyone in the division, because nobody has the heart and desire and straight refusal to go down.
It's like no boxer before or since has ever worked hard like he does.
Bellew is just a joke, excited for the day he gets chinned again. Afolabi has Rakhim Chakhkiev next Wednesday in Russia...Now that's a proper fight, hope Ola can perform in this one because he really was close to hanging up the gloves after his last lost. And theres nothing more than id love to see Afolabi smash Bellews head in.
