They're both being fed bums , it's time to step up ! For both of them!
It was just to help Hennesey fill the show, had little to do with career progression. He's fighting Firtha in a couple of weeks and if anything should be commended for having the confidence in himself and risking that fight with a cut. They did have a better fighter lined up who pulled out a week ago and this is the best they could get on short notice.

Fair play in helping Hennessy out, but his career needs to start pushing on. I know he's young, but I have seriously high hopes for him, more so than Tyson if I'm honest.
But fights like that where he starts putting his hands down by his waist Sugar Ray Leonard style, put him into some bad habits that are difficult to get out of it. And as for fighting Firtha does him no good , the guy hasn't fought for 2 years!
My one criticism of AJ is when they put old guys in front of him that aren't going to get up because they're getting the same dough anyway.
I hope Hughie doesn't go down the same line. These guys need to fight some young guys that are going to challenge them, maybe go over to the States or something.
Hughie has gone 10 rounds twice this year with Rudenko and Arias. Both are aguably better than anyone Joshua has faced, or would beat anyone Joshua has faced. Rudenko should have got the decision against Browne and Arias actually won rounds off Pulev this year. Hughie won by shut out in both fights, comfortably.
The opponent he just fought had just taken Arnold Gjergjaj 8 rounds. Arnold Gjergjaj Is unbeaten in 28 fights with 20 KO,s so the opponent was at the bery least respectable and the win was decent.
Arias is just someone who will agree to fight Hughie. No one wants to risk losing to a 21 year old.
Hugie is class. Hes the only British fighter ever to win gold in the world junior super heavies. He also had to fight 5 times to win that whereas his opponent in the final only had to fight twice.

Put him in with Joshua and he would last a round , he hits like a ponce . Like his oaf of a cousin he is carefully matched .
Make the match with the winner of Joshua , white .

I'm not having a pop at Hughie, and I'm not comparing him to AJ. I think that both of them could do with more live opponents, and maybe fight each other. Rudenko was a good victory, very good, but then you have to go forward, not move back in quality of opponent. Arias gives you rounds, but he's 41 ffs. he'll stick around , distinctive Lack of ambition there. As for the guy on Saturday, you say he went 7 or 8 rounds with Gjergjaj, well IMHO it's the likes of Gjergjaj he should be fighting. Someone with ambition. the same goes for AJ.
I understand it was late notice etc. and he was ill and was out of action for a while, but the same applies to his upcoming fight on the Wlad v Fury undercard , totally pointless.
He's 17-0 now, and should press on from the Rudenko fight.

Well im repeating what they are saying. Its very difficult to match him.
Imagine being a heavyweight contender or the manager of a heavyweight contender. Would you really be that keen to take a fight you or your fighter would lose? 6,6" well schooled and only 21.
The Furys arent taken seriously yet. A loss to Tyson or Hughie would ruin a reputation and any future bargaining power which is why Haye bailed and potentially Wlad may yet again. Once Tyson beats Wlad it changes everything.
The risk reward rstio for fighting them will be better and both will have fighters keener to actually get in the ring with them but right now who wants to lose to a 21 year old Fury?

well firstly, we know I don't agree with you about Haye bailing out and Tyson said himself the other day on a sky sports interview , that he doesn't think Wlad will bail out again. but that's for another thread.
If Hughie or AJ are the real deal , then money talks for opponents. a lot of experienced guys would also see it as an opportunity to get back in the reckoning. and like I said before , what's to stop Hughie fighting AJ ? (and Vice versa). both have World Level Amateur experience, both have unbeaten records in the high teens, both are seen as potential World Champs.
I'll tell you what's stopping it happening, it's the respective promoters! neither wants to have their asset lose.
I'm certain it would be a good fight for both of them financially. I'm certain that both would come out with reputations enhanced , and both could move forward win or lose. Nowadays , promoters are obsessed with a fighter's "0".
even the greatest fighters (except Floyd) have a loss on their record, and it never hurt them.
You might think "why bracket AJ with Hughie ? Bracket him with Tyson (Similar age, etc.) . Well ok, I would say Yes, fine. infact I firmly believe that perhaps Tyson and AJ should've fought each other to earn the shot at Wlad.
and for the record, I think both fighters and even including Tyson would jump at the chance of these fights. I happen to believe that there are very few , if any Boxers that are cowards.

Tyson publicly offered to fight Joshua at the end of last year after Hearn said Joshua would beat Tyson right now. Hearn appologised and backed down.

If you say it , then that's as good as a win , didn't you guys know that?
Fury he sure can talk , however he has done nothing in the ring against any live opposition to suggest he even has a chance against Wlad.
All talk.

Blackwell takes too many punches and starts far too slow for the top fighters. I like him and he is very exciting but he can not have a long boxing career fighting at that pace and taking as many punches as he does.
