Re: No stopping Trump (will be a NY/NJ ticket)
If Trump gets the number of delegates that supposedly win him the nomination, and the GOP in some way invalidates that and puts someone else up there...............
Woe to the Republican Party and the amount of unbridled ire they will stir in the general public. It's like writing a rulebook and then, when it's not coming out your way saying... "Oh well... never mind the rule book. We're throwing it out and making up some new rules." It's like taking your ball and going home when you're losing. What a piss poor image for the Republican Party. It's downright comical. Whatever happened to "You live by the rules.... you die by the rules."

I am increasingly thinking that will not be the case. I do not think the GOP will let it happen:
A member of the Republican National Committee's Rules Committee said Wednesday that the party will decide who the GOP nominee will be, not the voters.
"The media has created the perception that the voters will decide the nomination," Curly Haugland said in an interview with CNBC. "That's the conflict here."
"The political parties choose their nominees, not the general public, contrary to popular belief," he added...
...Haugland, one of the party's few unbound delegates that can decide who they want to vote for, argued that the party can block Trump even if he wins 1,237 delegates through the primaries.
"The primary votes are not considered [at the convention], it's the delegates' votes," he said.
GOP official: The party chooses the nominee, not the voters | TheHill
They'd love to stop him at the convention and if they can they will but it could end up with riots at the convention like the 1968 Democratic convention and if they do steal it 20 million+ Trump supporters will stay home in November and hand the election to Hillary.
Between now and the convention the GOP Stop Trump forces will try and delegitimise him, highlight the violence at rallies, Trump's business record, previous statements etc etc and try and make him so toxic that they can more easily steal the nomination. Lots of time betwen now and the convention, let's see how Trump looks a couple of months from now.
Re: No stopping Trump (will be a NY/NJ ticket)
Listened to talk radio the other day- stated every hotel is booked from Cleveland to surrounding suburbs. The last plan of attack I heard was that Cruz and Kasich should bury their differences and run as a tandem of Prez & V.P. ...that's a long way to go, just to stop Trump.
Re: No stopping Trump (will be a NY/NJ ticket)
You said it will be Trump and Christie.....no way that will happen. I think Trump and Gingrich is more likely.
Re: No stopping Trump (will be a NY/NJ ticket)
I'm sure it will be very tough to predict a TRUMP presidency.
Will he continue spending on Medicare to social security like he stated while campaigning ? Conservatives tea party to libertarians either want to cut or at minimal privatize.
He has stated the minimum wage has to be looked at. That is a liberals issue.
He is against free trade while the recent 2012 republicans party platform referred to it as the Reagan economic zone.
He disagrees with funding planned parenthood but okay with them existing. In other words he doesn't see it as immoral.
He wants to repeal the republican led common core educational standards but only the repeal of Obama's healthcare act is mentioned.
He might do a little something for all parties. If so that damn sure wont make him conservative
Maybe this is what it will take to draw plans from all sides without being called un American.
Liberals to conservatives libertarians evangelical. ...will get cursed the hell out if they dare criticize the Donald. That is the only thing im sure what would happen in a Trump presidency.
Re: No stopping Trump (will be a NY/NJ ticket)
Again as stated above. He might do a little something for all parties.
What isn't known is what Trump plans to do outside threatening to build a wall and kick muslims out.
He will still have to deal with divided senate to bring forth bills and a divided house to pass laws. Or no????
The freedom caucus that kicked Boehner out ...... and brought in Anti establishment tea partiers like Rand Paul.
Still there.
I am raising the question since we currently have establishment politicians left and right. Liberals Conservatives Libertarians to Moderates to Independents....
To Trump supporters: Teach us .what do you think Trump can or will do to unify the nation as it exists today?
What happened to the issues like the war on terror. Education. Social. Security. Wanting to know the church and teachings at the candidates church. Federal reserve and potential auditing. Lobbyists stronghold on senators and house reps. Just curious...i admit i may have missed his stance on these issues that were critical in 2008- 20012.
I speak as objectively as I can. Whatever he does more than one demographic will be against it. So i named those policies/issues i think will manifest our differences as political parties and social ideologues within both parties.
Side note.
Sanders voters really seem to loathe Clinton. IMO this shows how fractured the Democrats have become.
Last i find it humorous that Conservative pundits like Bill O Reilly claims Trump is virtually empathizing with Sanders while still punking the shit out of Cruz. Bill wondering aloud: Is Trump courting Sanders?! LOL!
Saying Trump is unpredictable isn't neccesarily a bad thing. Only for those who swear on isms...
Cause Trump isn't consistent on issues to be down with conservatism or liberalism..
Re: No stopping Trump (will be a NY/NJ ticket)
In all honesty did Don just say what people wanted to hear or is there more substance to the man.?
Trumps must have a chance of being president you would have to say,! there are many people who agree with his outlook on immigrants but in reality will anything change I wonder.
He does talk a good fight but will he deliver or is he full of BS like most politicians, people promise a
lot but in power some of his extreme views may not come to light.!:scratchchin:
