Re: HBO: Lomachenko vs Martinez./Verdejo vs Martinez
If that was a boxing clinic then that is a really painful way to get a diagnosis. Great finish from Loma. Class.
Re: HBO: Lomachenko vs Martinez./Verdejo vs Martinez
I wonder how much of Loma's dominance was due to Martinez's style. Otherwise, a masterful performance climaxed with a chilling knockout.

No offense but we could say the same thing about every dominant performance. I mean styles have everything to do with every fight. From what I saw it was Loma's style that dominated. Martinez although most likely not in his prime is a solid counter puncher/boxer but he looked lost at times and could not get out of the way of the straight left. He was steered the entire fight. Loma's speed and movement was something we don't see that often.

When Loma goes through the gears it's breathtaking. Einstein fighter. He seems to have fully made the transition from the amateurs now, and looks unbeatable.
Re: HBO: Lomachenko vs Martinez./Verdejo vs Martinez
Entertaining fight! The movement seemed choreographed it was so good. His only loss even though they haven't met again seems avenged. Can't wait to see how much he actually improved since his first pro fight with Salido. He is good and the best part is he is still learning.

I have this feeling as good as he looked that swarmer's (intelligent ones) are the only ones with a style that can disrupt that technical wizardry.

No offense taken.

I disagree. I am one who thinks no style mattered against a prime RJJ.
Bhop's career is based on neutralizing his opponents best assets aka style.
PBF ...style matters for 1-4 rounds.
1 or 2 dimensional fighters...yeah style matters.
From what I saw it was Loma's style that dominated.
That is why i said....i wonder how much of his dominatin was due to stylistic matchup

Agreed.
It's just that a standout performance like that can cause some to anoint him P4P.
I think I've read a few posts from you stating similar as in 'I am not sold on fighter (x) just yet. Let's see how he does against fighters like (y,z)fights
I have done it..anointed a guy as the next great because they thoroughly dissected (1) style, then got trounced several fights later.
