At least Arreola was knocking good fighhters out early. Ruiz is struggling with poor fighters.
Arreola also got to a world title shot undefeated. Ruiz will lose to Hughie.
You HOPE Ruiz loses to Hughie.....Andy is a fat tub of shit, but his big old hamburger holding chubby fists do contain some pop and are very quick for the shape he's in.
I haven't seen Baby Hughie fight, I assume he's not as good as Tyson and I assume he's a similar style so tall, lanky, a bit awkward.....if he gets hit clean by Ruiz he'll feel it.
It's actually a decent fight for Hughie AND Ruiz, 2 undefeated fighters, young guys, good match.
Re: Hughie Fury fighting Andy Ruiz Jr.
Yep, another fighter to pull out against Hughie

Was for a mandatory spot and was on a huge show so great exposure.
Re: Hughie Fury fighting Andy Ruiz Jr.
Obvious this fight was never on, there wasn't a peep out of Ruiz.

Hmm, Ruiz and his trainer certainly thought the fight was on...

;D
Although maybe they were using the Furys for publicity?
Re: Hughie Fury fighting Andy Ruiz Jr.
Fair enough but there was nothing official announced.
Re: Hughie Fury fighting Andy Ruiz Jr.
Elephant seal VS Pillow fists was hardly top of my list of must see.
Re: Hughie Fury fighting Andy Ruiz Jr.
If Ruiz and company were just bluffing seems a really dumb move. It's a winnable fight and major career push. Guess he's back to laboring against 40 yr olds on Unimas.
Re: Hughie Fury fighting Andy Ruiz Jr.
Seemed like a logical fight for both, figured Ruiz probably needed it more. It seems like a lot of fights fall through for the Fury camp, but could just be a case where they jump the gun announcing them? If there was never anything actually in place for these two to fight, don't say it's happening.

watch the two YouTube links above that I posted. Video interviews of Ruiz Jr and his trainer both talking about fighting Hughie in Manchester.
Also, Dan Rafael has posted this

and this

looks like he's another basket case like Danny Williams
Re: Hughie Fury fighting Andy Ruiz Jr.
Well ok, but not signing the contract and pulling out of a fight are quite different things, which is kind of what I was saying. I don't think Ruiz is in shape to be a serious contender, but this seems like it would have been a big opportunity for him to be taken seriously, if he thought he could win.

Seems like not quite everybody is avoiding Hughie. Or maybe it's a publicity stunt.;D
