Would love to see him batter Toney in Cardiff ;D
yes, BUT JT cant go down, but Joe can go up if he REALLY wants to fight JT.
Re: CALZAGHE WANTS TONEY IN CARDIFF...................
only chance of calzaghe v toney happening is if joe puts on about 3 stone cos toney wont get down

And if Toney did get down and Joe won, the win wouldn't be credible because Toney would be suffering major weight drain and fast food withdrawals.

legends are made of.
I've never seen Toney fight so can't really comment on how he'd fare against Calzaghe, all I know is that Toney's comments make it really hard to like him, so I'd definitely want Joe to beat him.
As I said before, this isn't a serious challenge to Toney as he knows Toney can't make it below 210 anymore let alone 175 or 168.
Toney beat better fighters at 168 than Calzaghe has, seriously. McCallum, Charles Williams, Barkley, Tim Littles, he beat some good fighters. I think Toney would have beaten him, but it could have been a good fight because of Calzaghes movement and speed, but he's not Roy Jones and it's assuming Toney was in his best shape at 168. And it only took Toney a few years to make a name for himself... Calzaghe has been at super middle for like 10 years.. I mean really, he beat Lacy, and thats cool and all.. But he really needs to follow it up with something big and calling out Toney for entertainment value isn't going to do it.. Lets see him fight Tarver or Woods or somebody..

Hopefully Beyer or Kessler, if he defeats those two i think hes got a legit claim to being the No.1 Super middleweight of all time.
Re: CALZAGHE WANTS TONEY IN CARDIFF...................
WOW calzaghe REALLY wants to step it up...
toney (who may actually die if he manages to loose enough weight)
jones (who is SOOOOOOOOOOOO past his prime)
and a bunch of english bums even the english have never heard of...
STEP UP AND CALL OUT WRIGHT OR TAYLOR!!!

forget his mandatory. supermiddle is the softest division short of heavyweight. the real test for him is with tarver--someone who's at leat somewhat proven (in contrast to lacy).
Re: CALZAGHE WANTS TONEY IN CARDIFF...................
the only boxers that can give joe a good matchup is winky wright but even hed get a good pumelling like yer other boy did.....
Re: CALZAGHE WANTS TONEY IN CARDIFF...................
winky would never loose to such a sloppy random style, thats the kind of style that plays right into his hands

What's so sloppy and random about JC?
I would also prefer to see Joe in with Tarver, Wright or Taylor, but all three are tied up this summer. Just hope he can get one of them for the autumn.
Re: CALZAGHE WANTS TONEY IN CARDIFF...................
his defense if his offense,
a slugger would have trouble with that but wright would barley get hit
