I know. If Taylor had been more spectacular from the beginning, then I would give him his credit. The problem I think is that Taylor barely and I mean "barely" got by Bernard Hopkins. So, now we will see how he does against someone that right now is as good as Hopkins or probably even better now, like Winky Wright. I think once he faces a real challenge, he gonna lose.

look, I'm a Taylor fan, yea. so I'm gonna take Taylor no matter what. but all you guys taking Winky in this fight, are you really predicting with knowledge or some kind of understanding or are you just wright fans? just interested because all the message board in every fight that Taylor has fought found him to be somewhat open for a loss, but still unbeaten and undisputed shouldn't the opponent have something to prove instead of Taylor?
i know i will get some mechanics post saying Taylor just isn't advanced enough but what if the game has just evolved. like running quarterbacks or 6'7 point guards maybe Taylor has taken it to a new level and we just cant see it because its a head of us right now. for example his speed, and ability to knock the opposition down with a jab and not even be planted.
call me crazy if you will. I'm just a Jermaine Taylor fan

I don't think Taylor should be there either. I know he was given the fights. at least the first one he knew he lost he was crying on his trainer's shoulders when they announced him the winner. That was just a big gift wrapped with a big red Bow. and in the second he still did not beat B-hop. B-hop fought his fight just like he had been doing for the past 10 years.

Taylor is a new day and age boxer with exceptional skills. I think he just rushed a little quickly and didn't necessarily win especially against Bernard, when Taylor - if he takes his time and his promoter would use some sense, has the ability to dominate just about anyone in the long term. Why would he fight Winky next? I honestly think it could be a big mistake!

Personally...I like Jermain...but I liked him a whole lot better before he started being Duva's mouth piece. Lost a lot of respect for him over that whole bullshat at the presser. It just wasn't him being him...if your'e a true Taylor fan...I think that you can admit that.
The problem with Taylor right now...he's coming up against all of my favorite fighters...who have long been my favorites & also who I think have the skills & knowledge to defeat him.
IWO, he didn't do enough to beat Hopkins nor warrant wearing those straps...but once again...that's milk that's long been spilt.

Winky had flu for that fight and a couple of guys that were at the fight said Soliman was hardly landing!! Maaaan, I'm so excited about this.I know it won't be a war or anything but 2 great thinking fighters. I pick P4P number 1 Winky to retain his place at the top of that list with a ud BUT if JT wins, would hardly be shocking and he would have to be in p4p top 6.

Agreed but it kind of proves my point taylor will be out of winkys range due to his physical stature whether winky blocks them or not hes gonna always be picking off shots from the outside and some will land he wont be able to effectivley counter taylor he is too long but I have been wrong on occasion ;D

I guess the true promise came from taylor's earlier fights rather than from the b-hop fights. Bernard made taylor look like crap, no one makes you work harder than bernard. Maybe with the time and space winky will offer taylor, we'll get too see him land some powerful shots. Thats a HUMOUNGOUS maybe with bells all over it. Personally I think winky will put on a masterclass.
