Re: yoitsdan's drunken RBR ABRAHAM vs MIRANDA!
Rd 12 Ab still running awau. Miranda doing his best to swing. Abraham hold on. Very frustrating. Nothing happening really. Miranda is basically chasing him, abraham moves and runs away. Mirnada lands a left hook but its too little too late. Abraham running away. He;s now holding excessivelu, miranda hits with right hand, final bell.115-109 IMO, although the deductions were unjustified. No deductions for abraham for the holding...
The ref is an american, Parris is a jugde. The ref done a horrible job tonight. So Biased its a fucking joke. Abraham probably didn't need their help, he'd have egded it 115-114 on my scorecards.

Taking a heck of a long time.... abrahams mouth is awful. He can't close it.

114-109 115-109 116-109 Abraham.

At least we should be grateful that he chose to fight on then when he could have quit in the 5th and probably won on a disqualification anyway

Re: yoitsdan's drunken RBR ABRAHAM vs MIRANDA!
Deductions aside, did you think Abraham won the fight - he sounded good before the jaw prob...

Re: yoitsdan's drunken RBR ABRAHAM vs MIRANDA!
Great work dan, a very accomplished RBR, you'll be out whacking the wack (possibly the dodgiest turn of phrase of the year) soon enough! CC in 24 and thanks for keeping us up to date. Once again, the guy who ran away does so, like a WWE star, running down the tunnel with the belt over his shoulder and his tail between his legs.
Is this one worth a rematch you think dan? Also, worth looking for the highlights tomorrow?

Wouldn't you give the 12th round to Miranda?

Sounds worth a rematch.. IN THE US!

Re: yoitsdan's drunken RBR ABRAHAM vs MIRANDA!
Wacko is undoubted king, im just a pretender to the throne :)
Abraham was very smart, he used the ref to his advantage, anyother ref he still would have won though, maybe MD or a SD, I had him up by 1 point without deductions, but another eef may have deducted points for holding so you never know. Miranda was wobbled plenty of times, Abraham was caught clean aswell, but overall Abraham landed more clean punches, but Miranda was more active, aggressive, and had abraham on the back foot, which was winning him rounds. Definatly worth a rematch.

If you gave the 12th to Miranda isn't that a draw? Or did you have 1 round even?

Abraham deafeats Miranda!
A definite fight of the year candidate
By Karl Freitag
In an unbelievably vicious fight, IBF middleweight champion Arthur Abraham (22-0, 17 KOs) won a courageous twelve round decision over previously unbeaten mandatory challenger Edison "Pantera" Miranda (26-1, 23 KOs) at the Rittal Arena in Wetzlar, Germany. Both fighters landed big shots early on. Miranda stalked the champion much of the time, while Abraham covered, however when Arthur did open up, he was effective. Both fighters continued to fight after the bell to end round two. The ebb and flow continued in round three as both fighters held up well to the bombs unleashed by the other. Abraham had a good round four, cracking some very hard shots off Miranda's head. Miranda hurt Abraham early in in the fifth (possibly breaking his jaw) then intentionally headbutted Abraham later in the round, causing Abraham to bleed heavily from the mouth. The ring doctor initially determined Abraham could not continue. Referee Randy Neumann ruled that the cut was not caused by the headbutt and told Abraham if he doesn't continue to fight he'll lose by TKO. Bleeding heavily, Abraham chose to continue to fight and finished the round. Abraham boxed the stalking Miranda in the sixth. Blood was streaming out of Abraham's swollen mouth. In the seventh, but Miranda was deducted two points for a low blows. Abraham tried to finish Miranda in the eighth, but Miranda weathered the storm and both fighters continued to land bombs. The brutality continued in rounds nine and ten, and Neumann was showing signs of stopping the fight due to the condition of Abraham's jaw. Action was stopped in the eleventh due to another low blow by Miranda, and Neumann deducted another point. Miranda came out looking for the KO in the twelfth, while the injured Abraham was just looking to get to the final bell. In the end, scores were 114-109, 115-109, 116-109 for Abraham.

Re: yoitsdan's drunken RBR ABRAHAM vs MIRANDA!
Without the rest in the 11th Abraham could have been KO'd though, he took at least 4 minutes when a 'low blow' landed. Lastr round to Miranda clear, to make it 115-114 without deductions IMO, 115-109 with. Jugdes must have seen it similar to me.

Sounds like a baised article calling clean shots to ab's body low blows ::**

Re: yoitsdan's drunken RBR ABRAHAM vs MIRANDA!
The headbutt DID NOT cause mouth damage! It was the the top left side of his head! Get it right Fightnews!
-
Re: yoitsdan's drunken RBR ABRAHAM vs MIRANDA!
Great lesson of courage from Arthur, personally, I would have quit with that kind of injury (I'm sure the jaw is broken in at least different places) he wasn't able to close his mouth and forced to put his gumshield into his mouth in round .
Miranda is a hell of a fighter, but if he wasn't able to finish Arthur with tah injury...
He landed that headbutt intentionally, he landed at least 2 or 3 very low blows...the ref was right to call (in my opinion) 3 points deduction (heabutt+ low blows number one), the 4th was disputable and the 5th one wasn't justified.
Arthur was really really courageous.
What I enjoy was to see Arthur being elusive and ...connecting to Miranda face with this tactic..
Miranda was surprised, he was waiting for a war, he just didn't have a plan B
Deserved decision for Arthur.

UGH!! I HATE WHEN THIS STUFF HAPPENS IN BOXING!!! I guess they knew he'd be KO'd to so they gave him a 5 minute rest. What was Dave Paris money given to him? Thats so despicable!!!! I HATE IT!!!

Re: yoitsdan's drunken RBR ABRAHAM vs MIRANDA!
It was a terrific fight, its just a shame that Abraham/Officials resorted to basically cheating to get him the victory, when Abraham is probably enough of a fighter to beat Miranda.

How many points can a fighter be docked without getting disqualified?
I thought that after 2 points deducted any more and you were DQ, but 5!!!!

without the 5 minute rest?

Re: yoitsdan's drunken RBR ABRAHAM vs MIRANDA!
I don't know, I think that deducting points are just warnings before Dq...
you're all criticized Arthur, I can understand, but for me fighting with tha njury is courage..I couldn't do it..
and Yes : Miranda hitted low, did an intentional headbutt.
the rest was cheating from arthur for sure, but I would call that experience in this case and I would have done the same.
Just for Information, Arthur nearly dropped MIranda in round 7. just to tell you that arthur began to avoid fighting as from rounds 11 and 12. but he was still countering miranda a lot and powerfully.
Miranda just wasn't able to finnish him...that's it guys.

Miranda got penalized 5 points?! I have never seen anyone get that many, normally your third is an automatic DQ. The reason being is (1) Anymore than that and you have basically have penalized the boxer out of the fight and (2) If he is continually using illegal tactics he could cause severe damage to his opponent and it could affect the outcome of the fight.
I haven't seen the fight so I am not going to criticize either fighter until I do, but judging from what I'm hearing something shady has occured. Maybe not enough to change the outcome, but something shady nonetheless. 5 points deducted without a DQ is outrageous and I'm sure it will be brought up in the coming week. The funny thing is I heard alot of people talking about his this fight was not going to be broadcast because the rights to the fight hadn't been sold and people were talking about something shady happening if that was the case.
Sounds like a good fight, I can't wait to watch it and decide for myself.

Re: yoitsdan's drunken RBR ABRAHAM vs MIRANDA!
CC to yoitsdan... sounded like a great fight.
But dont blame Abraham for the poor refing ;)
sounds like he showed great heart if he went the last 7 rounds with a broken jar... and look at it this way all the points deductions which sounds like a total fucking joke reading the rbr BUT...
they would have also spurt Miranda on to go all out for the KO... so dont think they did Abraham as much good as it looks.
cant argue the rest breaks the ref gave him but taking away the ref this sounds like it was a hell of a fight and Abraham is a force... only seen him fight once and loved what i saw but i didnt think hed win this one but he did... on another note dont fight in germany unless you know 100% your gonna get the KO ;)
Cant wait to see this one ;)
also PM me the stream site you used :)

Come on Memphis, what you have to realise is that the people who are following the RBR's on Saturday nights, like me, are either those who cannot or would not go out to actually have fun, or even to see live boxing, so when you realise that it's no-hope bums like me who are on these threads, then surely you weren't expecting anything else except whinging cunts?

Speak for yourself mate, I'm all alone and up at 2.30 am sitting in front of my computer because thats exactly what I want to do with my life.
When I was a little boy I used to dream how I'd like my life to be when I hit 30,
And lonely nights in on my own on a Saturday night in front of my computer flicking between Saddo's Boxing.com and Daddy's Dirty Daughters.com, a cup of tea in one hand, a handful of tissue in the other was exactly what I hoped life would be like.
I'm living the dream I tell you :-X :bawling:
