Yes. like Ray Mercer
Re: Could Peter's granite chin withstand Wlad's sledgehammer right?
It's Wlad's left hook that would be Peters unraveling.
Re: Could Peter's granite chin withstand Wlad's sledgehammer right?
To answer the original question, unless he is gasses out, yes he has already proved he can
TBH i really liked Peters chances in the 1st fight (Even though i was looking for a real dominant performance from Wlad).
I like his chances even more with that new jab of his ;)

Headbutt's aren't as bad, they open cuts and cause swelling but as a matter of the human head and how it's structured the shot to the back of the head causes more damage because the spinal cord, brain stem, the occipital lobe are all in the back of your head whereas in the front of your head all you have is the frontal lobe.
By that rational you can be killed either way but in being hurt with rabbit punches the damage you can suffer is paralysis, blindness, and so on...with a headbutt maybe you get a concussion and migraines and maybe more moodiness but no blindness or anything horrible like that
Re: Could Peter's granite chin withstand Wlad's sledgehammer right?
LIsten this is a silly topic because this fight only happened just over a year ago but u r talking like it happened 7 yrs ago, peter would obviously lose by a bigger margin because 2 out of 3 knock downs should have not been counted as peter punch wladimir at the back of the head also I think samuel peter is not the same fighter since losing to wladimir, just the way tyson was finish after losing to buster douglas or the way prince naseem was finish after losing to barrero, some fighter can never just recover from that lose they get, because they so obsessed by being undefeated through out all they career, but I don't think samuel finish but 1 day will reach his peak like he was against wladimir, I remember everyone was saying this guy hit hard like george foreman or he the next tyson but once wladimir totaly made samuel peter look like a amateur the samuel hype was over. Bottom line is james toney would have got knocked out in the first few rounds if he fought samuel peter instead of wladimir fighting samuel peter on that paticular day. Samuel peter confident was incredible in those days I remember samuel sayimng he would knock vitali klitschko juist before wladimir wooped samuel, I think samuel forgot that no one ever wobbled the iron chin vitali in the ring
Re: Could Peter's granite chin withstand Wlad's sledgehammer right?
Peter's power beats down Wlad's chin. Peter by ko. IMO
Re: Could Peter's granite chin withstand Wlad's sledgehammer right?

Know of any boxers who have had thier career ruined by Rabbit punches? I am notbeing a wiseass; I really am asking. I know of several who have had issues with headbutts.
Re: Could Peter's granite chin withstand Wlad's sledgehammer right?
Tyson admitted when he punched people he tryed to kill them. Others that unfortunately were on the dishing side of a lethal punch fell like S*** because they never meant for it to happen. Headbutts (accidental and intentional) happen more often than rabbit punches. Tyson only threw so many punches in his career but didn't kill anybody. The total of punches thrown without an intent to kill people far outweight the number of punches that tyson thru yet the punches that weren't meant to kill people killed more people than the ones that intended to.
Summary: headbutts happen more often so of course there's gonna be more instances to bring up the damage they did. Rabbit punches don't happen as often but that doesn't mean that they are in anyway equally or less harmful. The back of the head is a far more sensitive area where a lot of complications can occur. Complications that are way more serious than a headache, concussion, or, "god" forbid, a cut.

CC pun
i knew the people that "got it" would start commenting...
Punisher hit it right on the head...( or the back of the head lol) ;)
Im not trying to be a wiseass ether, however, just because it hasnt happend as often, does get rid of the fact its ALOT more lethal then a headbutt.
Look at a velocity of a head butt Vs A hook to the back of the head....
Take two of each, and call me in the morning...
still waitin on your answer Teddy.....
Headbutt or rabbit punch? which would you prefer done to you ?

Yes. It's just that there are very few instances of rabbit punches. Said another way, the the frequency level is less but the severity level is higher.

Don't hold you breath waiting. Go piss up a rope.
Re: Could Peter's granite chin withstand Wlad's sledgehammer right?
A rabbit punch did not stop Toney or Wlad. A haedbutt could have. Nvertheless, a rabbit punch thrown with full force could do extremely serious damage. No argument with that. It could crippe someone, though I know of no such incident in boxing. A head butt launced with full force could kill someone, though I know of no such incident in boxing. IMO it's six of one a half dozen of the other. But I am not about to test it with anyone, particulaly Sam Peter.

the hell does that mean, no, a rabbit punch didnt stop either, and neither did a headbutt, BUT shots to the back of the head send vlad down 2 times, count em.... 2
and dont worry, when i ask you to answer the question, i dont really expect an answer, however, when u dont answer it, it kinda proves my point anyways...
But ill answer it for ya, k?
Headbutt= bad
rabbit punch= worse
Ted would rather get headbutt
