the wwf got an idea around 97 to have a shoot(real) tournement on monday night raw with the wrestlers
i think about 8 guys were in it
each week there would be like 2 fights, they were like 3 rounds
bart gunn won the tournement and they brought in butterbean to fight him at wrestlemania
i would assume the reasoning behind this was that if one of the wwf guys kod a boxer it would earn the wrestlers some kind of credibility with non-wrestling fans
