Nah I don't have any queries really as I say I'm already a believer. I actually started a theology degree a few years ago but dropped out as I didn't like the course.

I felt this calling to be a bible teacher and got accepted at an evangelical bible college in England.

But and I don't know how to put this, I just couldn't stand being around other Christians. I just found the whole thing so fake. I attended evangelical Pentecostal churches and I got sick of all the laying on of hands and the propechies and the random people standing up and telling everyone what 'The Lord' had told them.

I guess I can sum it up by saying I believe in God but not in people.

There's a saying that I agree with pretty much 100%

A man says he talks to God......he's praying.

A man says God talks to him......he's a schizophrenic :-\

So ultimately I believe in the Bible, pretty much word for word. I believe Jesus died for our sins, that he rose from death and that he will come again in judgement.

But as for the petty day to day trivialties that most Christians profess in Church I care not one bit.

Fighters who praise God for victory annoy me, in fact people who pray to God for any blessings generally annoy me.

I believe that God has an all encompassing master plan for the human race and that we should strive to live our lives according to the spiritual laws that he has lain down, sowing and reaping, honouring the Commandments etc. Live that way and you live a good life, live against those rules and you'll reap negative results.

But people praying on a daily basis for things as trivial as finding a parking space or help in beating somebody up just irk me. :-\

My faith generally boils down to the following.

I believe God created me, I belive God places a value upon my life and I believe that through acceptance of His Sons death on the cross I can have eternal life.

But in the meantime I, like everbody else inhabit a cursed, sin ravaged planet where death, decay, pain and misery are part of life. So when the going gets tough or I encounter problems I just get on with them, I don't pray to be helped out of my problems, and I don't pray for God to give a hand in beating others, either in a ring or anywhere else.

I think God has clearly given us intruction as how to live and expects us to get on with it like adults.

Church by contrast is full of whiny needy immature people who use God as a crutch and don't understand the awe inspiring reality of a Heavenly Creator at all.

Just my two cents. :)

We are still yet to recieve a decent explianation for how we started
so i have religious beliefs too
so heres my two pence worth


Bad things happen even to those with the strongest faiths who pray every second of every day
we have one life here its not a trial run ppl shud be free to live it the way we chose (within reason,i dnt mean commitin murder abuse etc......we have different levels of morals depending on who we are where we live but.......)
if ppl want tp pray every day thats fine but it doesn't guarantee your life will be poverty,pain,illness free and it doesnt need shoving down my neck
i will continue to believe wat i believe

thanking God for winning an event competition imo isn't something i wud do and its a bit divvy
i dont attend any type of church and dont feel the need to be around others who believe the same things i do.

i dont believe what i eat,who i sleep with,amoungst other countless rules will affect whether im accepted by God into the pearly gates of heaven
just the same as i dont believe if i keep prayin then my daughter will by some miracle of God be free from diabeties,or my son will be born safely
These are thing i or no-one can control,no amount of praying will help that
but i also believe no amount of crying will either

Kat, u no n i no the country we're from has had a lot of "questionable," cover ups in relation to religion.
But still, religion is what you make of it. I've got no right to tell anybody anything about religion or theology cos i haven't devoted much time to it.
But similarly i don't think anybody can lecture religion as its something personal, it's something that is perceived and adopted differentlyby eac person.
Does that make ANY sense?

Yes it makes perfect sense to me and also even if u had devoted all ur living days to theology and religion you still imo wouldnt have a right to tell anyone about what they shud believe because it is personal

Fact is God has been good to me. Iv been acquainted with a number of ladies and fortunately the girl thats now pregnant with my lil fella (hopefully,) is the also the person i have the most time for and the person i love most in the world, so since its all good for me, its definitely gonna be all good for ur little guy.

Yea i was just round my girlfriends house helping out doing some work for her because she needed some help and my mom didn't want me going she is like that always protective but i have strong bond with my mom and i would rather have over protective mom than a mom who don't care at all.
