Well according to the stats he did, how can Compubox be off by about 80 punches ?? get real your making yourself look foolish.

could have gone either way imo
It can be off by 80 punches ?? are you seriously kidding me ?? those are the stats and yes it may not be 100 percent accurate but i would say its about right, Pavlik outworked Taylor end of. And how can you be right ?? nothing you said is a fact just an opinion, i have the stats to back up my argument and from just watching the fight without biased scoring. I find it hard to believe anyone can have Taylor winning by 4 rounds, thats almost as ridiculous as the 117-111 scorecard IMO.
SETANTA had horrible coverage it was very biased towards Pavlik; from now on all Setanta fights I watch on silent.
I watched it on Setanta live and I have to disagree, the people in the studio (Rickie Woodhall) gave it by 3 to Pavlik and they were all fuming over 117-111 to Pavlik so they were not biased at all. If Setanta never sceened the fight we would have to watch it on a shitty stream and they done a great job.
My gosh,WTF is wrong with some of you boxing fans?! A robbery?! You're joking!!! JHow in the hell was this a robbery? At best,it was a draw for Taylor.
How can someone win a fight where they have thrown less, landed less in nearly every round and comprehensively outworked for the majority of the fight?
How can Pavlik not have won when he was fighting for a FULL 3 MINUTES. A fight is scored over the duration of the round and not for 30 seconds(the seconds Taylor flurried with eye catching punches)
Kelly Pavlik outworked, outhustled, outlanded and outjabbed Taylor.;D
I think I used the wrong words for the title! It was not a robbery but I feel that Taylor won that fight; it was however close.
I feel that Pavlik has taken Taylors spot as the new HBO Poster boy, the commentators would not stop talking about Kelly and Youngstown! they never mentioned when Pavliks nose was bloodied but they mentioned when Taylor's was! Then never mentioned the little nick just above kelly's eye; which I noticed so...
Well the fights over either way now and nothing I or anybody else say will change the result! congratulations Kelly.
taylor wasn't robbed, he faded in the last couple of rounds and it cost him, pavlik deserved the UD
I didnt enjoy setanta's coverage as ray mancini really annoyed me
watched the fight again and scored it 115-113 pavlik
I thought it was close, but thought Pavlik won. Surprised a fair number of folk on here are saying Taylor won. Not as surprised as I was with the judge who scored it 117 - 111 though.
What was that about?
Also thought Setanta coverage was good. Think they are head and shoulders above Sky at the minute.
Loving no adverts too.
class.
Last night I scored it a draw, watched it again this morning and I feel Kelly eeked it out slightly.
I gave Taylor some rounds as I felt Kelly was out of focus and Taylor stole them with ring generalship, even though he was getting out hustled in 10 out of the 12 rounds.
Both guys fought smart and showed better defense than in the first fight. Kelly just took it at the end as he had more left in the tank and Jermaine was getting tired.
Robbery? ;D Funny shit.
Gamo's right, maybe Taylor could have got a draw, if you really liked the prettier, flashier flurries then maybe 7-5.
Taylor did good work at times but he just got outworked and lost the late rounds. He fought well though, better than I thought he would so credit to him.
120-108 Navarro, now that's fucking crazy.
i actually had it 115-113 to Taylor close fight i was saying 116-114 was ridiculus. I saw 5 rounds Pavlik definatly won and 5 Taylor definatly won the other 2 rounds could have goe either way but i scored it to Taylor for the cleaner work. The first fight i had Taylor up by 1 point due to the knockdown going into the 8th.
The fight reminded me a little of Oscar v Floyd in the sense that Pavlik was throwing a lot of shots but JT block a hell of a lot of them. As for Compubox numbers they dont accuratly represent the fight as boxing is scored on a round by round basis so Pavlik may have thrown a lot more in one round than he did another thus skewing the overall numbers.
Not a robbery,I had Taylor up by one point but no robbery at all.Hey, I plead the 5th and blame the Coronas .Both showed great boxing and fought a well thought out game plan.Taylor appears far from shot and Pavlik Is a comer .Both showed Improvement.
Alot of people were treating this rematch like Taylor was being walked to the firing squad going in and That was not the case.I dont put alot of stock in HBO's punch #'s and the direct correlation to that =winning a round.Sometimes I wonder If they score a hit everytime Lampley shouts "BIG LEFT" etc.I know they contribute and might seem useful but Save the punch counting for the Amatuers and Olympics Imo.I try to break a round into three minutes and score on effective punching and ring generalship.A guy can land 10 thudding jabs and get countered 1 or 2 shots that move him In return....pick your poison.A fight is a case by case ,RBR affair.
BTW I was in a place where I could watch it closely but couldn't hear much of it so who was HBO cheerleading for this time? Didn't seem like they were as much on the Taylor bandwagon as usual last time.
I sent some Bad Rep. your way for calling the fight a robbery. A robbery is when theres a 'CLEAR' winner and the other guy wins.
Some of the rounds were close and they went back and forth. Pavlik closed out the fight in the late rounds. I had it 116-112.
I also sent some Bad Rep. your way for the same thing.

;D
It was however a great fight. Jermain did great and I thought he was going to get knocked out again but none the less, and the bottom line is that Taylor got chased out of the Middle Weight division by Pavlik.
Did we really need that big orange-red arrow danny? :)
i thought pavlik won easily
I just watched the fight and anyone who calls this a robbery is a fucking idiot. Casamayor - Santa Cruz was a robbery, Forrest - Quartey was a robbery, this was a close, competitive fight; the right fighter was awarded the victory. I had it for Pavlik by 1 round, with 1 round scored even. I gave Taylor the benefit of the doubt in at least one round I would've otherwise scored an even round or for Pavlik. The scorecards were a bit off in my opinion, but Pavlik won the fight. Lampley encapsulated the entire fight with one comment in the 12th round, "Pavlik throws three punches, Taylor one."
Taylor almost completely redeemed himself in my eyes though, great fight on his part and he almost pulled it off. He's lucky there wasn't more time left in the 11th round after Pavlik landed that body shot though.
I really want to see Taylor - Kessler, Taylor - Wright II (I might be the only one), or Taylor - Miranda. Lucian Bute's manager (I think it was his manager) said they would be willing to fight JT next as well.
Although I had JT by a round (I was rooting for Jermaine) I thought he wasn't as busy as he should be and he was open to losing a fight he should have won as a result of his own actions, or lack thereof.
Jermaine gave a great account of himself, gave us a nice fight and no doubt there's more to see in the future.
What the heck are all you guys on about. It was a great fight. Both guys did great. All you Taylor fans should be proud that your man did'nt end up on his back like many predicted. He did a great job. Leave it at that.
To come here and say it was a robbory is to downgrade a great performance by both. IMO it was a close fight but Pavlik was the clear winner in the end. That right hook to the body in the 11th sealed the deal on the fight as Taylor had nothing left after that and Pavlik finished strong in the championship rounds.
Taylor just didn't do enough in some of those rounds and he lossed fair and square.

Well it's obvious that some of these people are blind so I put the arrow there so they would not miss it.
;D
