This guy has the greatest defense I've ever seen. He's effectively absorbing all of Kirkland's punches with his face.

Kirkland needs much better than this for futures sake,but good exposure.Could have done this in the gym to a degree.Very exciting...should be fun to watch down the road.
Vera should have been saved from himself, his corner should have stopped it earlier. Reminded me a lot of Campbell-Quiles
Kirkland all over him, awesome knock down, he took too much punishment in that fight and the ref stopped it. Good call IMO, Vera was heavily out pointed and should think about his long term health.
Most fighters would have fallen to Kirklands heavy early on slaught but he has to learn he cant be doing that in the championship fights because he will get beaten in the later rounds.
He shows he has a lot of power and brings excitment to the 160 pound weight class. I think hes an awesome prospect and if he can tweek some skills hes going to be a real force to deal with in the near future.
Vera showed an awesome chin but he just couldnt simply keep him away!
