I HATE Matt Cooke. I loathe him. I even despised him when he was a Canuck. Hopefully someday someone will beat the dogshit out of him.

overtime, powerplay...that was real close to a penalty shot for Malkin.
Gotdam tho, we shouldn't even be in overtime

I do hope the Canucks pull this game and series out. I'd much rather them then the Blackhawks.

I spoke too soon for this game? :-\

Re: The NHL Playoff Thread
Could we get a suicide check on CFH? Or maybe someone with his IP to ping it, and see if it still lives, or maybe got tossed out a window?

;D
I'm fine, though extremely hungover. We threw a birthday party for my best friend last night, otherwise I would've been on here bitching about the game.
The Canucks have no one but themselves to blame. Luongo let in a brutal goal, the Sedins have disappeared (again), Burrows is clearly hurt, they're taking stupid penalties etc. etc. etc. It's not over yet though, I think I predicted Canucks in 7, which is still a possibility. Admittedly it doesn't look good right now though.

I'd fucking kill for a game 7...

Re: The NHL Playoff Thread
The refs and Rick Rypien might have just handed the series to the Hawks.
-
Re: The NHL Playoff Thread
3-2 still lots of time...
-
Re: The NHL Playoff Thread
3 - 3 Shane motherfuckin' O'Brien's 1st goal as a Canuck.
The Blackhawks have owned the 3rd period though, they've outscored the Canucks something like 9 - 3.

Re: The NHL Playoff Thread
I think I'm going to have a heart-attack... Expect plenty of non-sensical drunken posts from me following this game.

Re: The NHL Playoff Thread
whatta dumb Hawks penalty. nice goal. good game.
5-4 got to hold. Then as I was typing it...
all tied up again 5-5

Re: The NHL Playoff Thread
I never thought I would say this, Luongo is killing the Canucks...
-
Re: The NHL Playoff Thread
Time to put down the sticks and pick up the clubs.
So many goals...

Re: The NHL Playoff Thread
MOTHERFUCK ROBERTO LUONGO. The best goalie in the world? Team Canada's starter in 2010? Fuck off. Takes up 7 million dollars of cap space and absolutely shits the bed in an elimination game. Fuck him.
-
Re: The NHL Playoff Thread
Good night Canucks.
Up to the Pens now. Whose series should have been over already, but o well...game 7, we'll see.
-
Re: The NHL Playoff Thread
That Hawks deserve it, they were the better team throughout the series. They outplayed the Canucks, Quinville outcoached Vineault, and (I never in a million years thought I would say this), Khabbibulin outplayed Roberto Luongo.

Seriously, this was worse than watching Molitor get smoked by Caballero...

Man that fight was emasculating for a Molitor fan. I still don't think Caballero even really hit Molitor. Was more the wind knocked him over from a glancing blow or tidal wave of fear that ended that the way it did.

Caballero hurt him with every punch he even half-landed. That fight destroyed any faith I had in Molitor's punch-resistance. IMO he will never be able to beat any moderately heavy-handed fighter who can penetrate his defense.

As well as the Ducks (mainly Jonas Hiller and their top line) have played, I would be dumbfounded if they managed to win two games in a row against Detriot to advance.

I wouldn't ever discount a team as talented and experienced as Anaheim completely, but my money would be on Detroit.

Our "D" has been leaky these past 2 games which again is part due to the injuries.
But I don't lose faith in the Ducks, if then can jump on the Wing early on we'll force game 7 and just go balls out...

The Ducks are up 1-0... :happy0931sb4:

Re: The NHL Playoff Thread
Pens leading 4-0 with 13 mins remaining in 2nd period. Game 7. If some how, some way, they blow this...some serious shit is going down.

They won't. It's not like they're the Canucks, you have no need to worry...

Re: The NHL Playoff Thread
6-2.
Meh...I was typing 6-1 and just about to hit the 1...

Re: The NHL Playoff Thread
And that's a wrap!
Who's next, Boston, Carolina? Back to back division titles would be a nice feather in the cap. Especially considering how the Pens turned it around this year.
