Re: Manager SMW vote for September
Valid points Jaz, I'm for this. Of course the flip side is if any two of the pool guys win in this tourney, both positions will be bumped. For now though I agree Balzay deserves the 9th spot.
-
Re: Manager SMW vote for September
I agree he should be demoted

James Kirkland and his sentencing
It appears that in the best case scenario Kirkland will be going away for 18 months (13 months from now as he's already served 5 months) We need to decide what we are going to do with him, drop him to pool, drop him altogether or keep the spot open. Kirkland is currently rated 7th on our rankings.

Re: James Kirkland and his sentencing
I say we wait till his actual sentencing. In theory he could be doing half that sentence in a half-way house allowing him to train & fight, meaning he would be eligible to stay within our rules. Waiting a few weeks on sentencing won't make any difference, there's nothing important on the horizon.
-
Re: Manager SMW vote for September
Denis Inkin is demoted 1 position by a vote of 5 - 0
-
Re: James Kirkland and his sentencing
I'm with Jaz; I think we should wait, if he gets lucky there's a possibility he may fight before his year is up
-
Re: James Kirkland and his sentencing
If he gets more than 18 months than he needs to be dropped. If he does get the 18, I say we leave him where he's at even if he hits the 1 year of inactivity. He's obviously going to need more time to get in shape

Should Sergio Mora remain ranked?
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...ddleweight.jpg
Should Sergio Mora (currently #5 at 154) remain ranked or be removed to the pool? He hasn’t fought since Sep 13th ’08.
I vote he is removed to the pool at 154
-
Re: James Kirkland and his sentencing
I vote for a drop to the pool.. if he does get the full sentence, it will more than likely mean we won't be seeing him in action for another 2 years.
I say we keep him where he is for now until his sentence is announced.
-
Re: James Kirkland and his sentencing
save the trouble and drop him all together....Give a guy still active a chance
-
Re: Should Sergio Mora remain ranked?
put him in the pool...he doesnt even campaign there full time

That's my take on it, this division has one of the most active pools with lots of guys meriting their shots at the top 10.
-
Re: Should Sergio Mora remain ranked?
I put pool cuz there was no other option. But like Daxx said he don't even fight there. He should get removed all together.
-
Re: James Kirkland and his sentencing
Vote we wait until he's sentenced, exceeds one year inactive span we drop him from ranks and pool.Keep things flowing.

Re: Should Sergio Mora remain ranked?

Re: James Kirkland and his sentencing
James Kirkland will remain where he is for now by a vote of 5 - 2 - 1
-
Re: Should Sergio Mora remain ranked?
Sergio Mora is moved to the pool by a vote of 7 - 0
-
Should Marco Antonio Rubio remain in the pool at 160?
Should Marco Antonio Rubio remain in the pool at 160? He has been in the pool for 6 months & he has not fought in that time. His last fight was his stoppage loss to Pavlik & his last win was back in October ’08.
I vote he should be removed.
-
Re: Should Marco Antonio Rubio remain in the pool at 160?
I second that he be removed.
-
Re: Should Marco Antonio Rubio remain in the pool at 160?
Marco Antonio Rubio is removed from the pool by a vote of 5 - 0

How far should Asikainen fall?
How far should Amin Asikainen drop following his TKO loss to Matthew Macklin?
I personally feel he should only drop 2 spots. This is for 2 reasons. We have a complete dearth of talent in the pool, hence why it is impractical to drop a fighter, especially with there being 2 vacancies. Secondly, the stoppage was VERY dodgy. Hell, even hattonthehammer thought that about a Hatton Promotions fighter. Asikainen actually had collected himself well, & would have finished the round. Watch it without SkySports bias commentary, & you'll see he was more frustrated with going down again than actually hurt.
-
Re: How far should Asikainen fall?
I'm going to vote to the pool, I get where your coming from Jaz, but Asikainen has lost 2 of his last 3 now. I think guys like Geale & Pirog deserve a chance to be rated ahead of him
-
How should we rate James Kirkland?
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...ddleweight.jpg
Now that James Kirkland has been sentenced for 2 years, we should vote on his rating.
Should he remain ranked until his year’s inactivity is up?
Be moved to the pool?
Be removed altogether?
-
Re: How far should Asikainen fall?
I'm gunna vote 2 spots to 9th. The stoppage was pretty damn dodgy and I think Asikainen would of had a much better fight if he had time to grow into it.
-
Re: How should we rate James Kirkland?
He is going to Prison and will be removed due to inactivity in the long run anyway so lets just get it overwith and give someone who is active some time in the rankings

His opinion counts nothing.
He drops into the pool.

Yeah, I wasn't using it as expert opinion, more that the one person on this site that loves all things Hatton thought it was a terrible stoppage in favour of the Hatton fighter

I seriously doubt he enjoys sucking off Macklin as much as he does Hatton
-
Re: How should we rate James Kirkland?
I think we should remove him altogether & let him earn his way back, he might not return at 154 anyway
-
Re: How far should Asikainen fall?
Amin Asikainen is dropped to the pool by a vote of 4 - 3
-
Re: How should we rate James Kirkland?
James Kirkland is removed altogether by a vote of 3 - 2 - 1

Middleweight Manager Vote for October
I think Paul Williams should be above Matthew Macklin, so I want to bump him up a place. I personally feel that Williams is at least the 3rd best MW in the division & its only due to the problems we had with the initial votes (ie all the unknowledgeable motherfuckaz who pissed off) that Winky Wright was somehow not ranked there.
So yeah, Williams to go up to 7th
-
Re: Middleweight Manager Vote for October
So we're taliking about demoting Macklin 1 spot? I'm for that, I think Wright is still a formidable opponent & that win is better than Macklins over Asikainen imo
-
Should TigerFan become an offficial manager?
I have corresponded with him to see if he is interested as he puts forth a good effort to vote already and seems to be very unbiased.
-
Re: Should TigerFan become an offficial manager?
He takes time to vote now, so I think we should make it official!
-
Re: Should TigerFan become an offficial manager?
Absolutley !!Was wondering when I saw him voting but nothing had been mentioned.Very well rounded and always bringing in news, events.Plus He's a Jirov fan ;D
-
Re: Middleweight Manager Vote for October
Paul Williams moves up to 7th with Matthew Macklin falling to 8th by a vote of 5-0
-
Re: Middleweight Manager Vote for October
I don't know if the pool is officially close and if I did see it too late but i definitely would rank The Punisher infront of macboy.
