I know what you mean. If Floyd was caucasian everything would be smooth and cool. But the man is keeping him down. I mean take a look at Wlad and Vitali getting big time HBO PPV fights and being respected by boxing fans because they're caucasian males...................oh wait never mind.
I'm white, I wasn't implying the man was keeping him down. You took it out of context...I was simply stating if he was white and kept his fat trap shut and acted normal then we wouldn't have all this crap. But it's easy for everyone to hate on him but gues what? As much as I like the stupid f$#k he did this to himself. Some people want to play bigshot. Others keep there mouths shut and then it doesn't bite them later.
Point blank.....I think Pac is bullshittin but we know no matter who it is or what it is people will hate on Floyd. We also know he did it to himself. His parents should have said...."don't open your mouth" but his dad had his yappin first.
You mean like a white Shane Mosley? I don't think it has a damn thing to do with the color of his skin. It's just his character. Look at Malignaggi...

You guys know what the fuck I mean...take Pacs uncut foreskin from your bicuspids. Race is always an issue. Ignore it all you want...Same reason people didn't like Roy
Re: Did that fight really make people believe that Manny will be able to beat Floyd?
I would nearly go as far as to say that boxing is the sport in which race and origin matters least. If you put a truly great fighter in front of boxing fans, they will not judge him by race, colour or creed.
Azumah Nelson is one of the most respected fighters globally. Carlos Monzon is revered as one of the greatest Middleweights ever, despite his fatal flaws. Max Schmeling is commonly perceived as one of the sports finest gentlemen. Pac comes from a country not even known for its boxing and is idolised by the boxing faithful. I don't think race is applicable at all. Its attitude.

Not the same one that SRL, Starling, RayRob or Benitez fought for anyway.
With regards to Cotto and Clottey (highlighted): How can you draw a comparison by using one guys "near loss" to another guys "clear win"? Pick one way or the other. If that ain't straddling the fence I dunno what is..
Pac just proved he would take a paycheck that Mayweather was not willing to cash years ago. And I truly believe Margarito is a better fighter than he was 3-5 years ago. Marg would have been out in 3-4 back then against Pac.
My favorite thing about Pac Margarito? ... Roach said he would knock Marg out in the 3rd and he almost did (in the 4th). THAT is something you could definitely count Mayweather out of being about to do. And I think few people on here took Roach seriously when he said that.
Haha dude, I really have to wonder what Floyd did to you? Are you Josie Harris or that security guard he 'battered' with his finger? Even the Pacfans, Miles & Titofan don't hate him as much as you.
As it is, no matter how much you may dislike it, the lineal Welterweight title Floyd took from Baldomir was the SAME one that SRL, SRR, Starling & Benitez fought for. If it makes you feel better he took it for a 2nd time off Shane, so at least one of those has to count for you (unless you follow the less credible lineage of Ring mag).
I love the idea that Margarito is better now than 3-5 years ago. Yep, one-sided losses to both Shane & Manny as well as an unimpressive win over a club fighter in Robert Garcia really support that theory ;D
Your favourite thing was that they said they would knock him out but didn't
Was your favourite thing about the PBF-Shane fight that Ellerbe said he'd stop him & Floyd staggered him a couple of times, but didn't put him down or away? :-X
I simply can't get how because people like one fighter or dislike another they mock either's accomplishments. Both these guys actually do have resumes that at least stand up against the best to ever do it, and in 10 years when people are whinging about the dominance of Rau'shee Warren or whoever is on top then, they'll be harking back to these two in the same way people hark back to the Duran, SRL, Hearns era.
I have noticed that every time one of them fights there are dozens of posters who cannot see how they live with the other. In all honesty, it's close I could see a win for either although my gut sees a win for Mayweather by decision.

Race has absolutely nothing to do here, it's all about the behaviors, Scott Harrison was fairly popular before he started to act like a dick and he's white as, people just don't like his antics and the fact that his whole family (at least, father and uncle) are like that doesn't help neither, he could be smurf blue or snow white, it wouldn't change at all and it would all be the same reaction. Gatti was loved by all but the last antics with his ex wife made him lose some support and some respect along the way, including in Montreal where he's more or less a living legend, being white didn't save his ass.

Yep, mafiajoey is a tit and I don't care what colour he is. Ignorance is my big issue.
Re: Did that fight really make people believe that Manny will be able to beat Floyd?
In fact, I hate Roy Jones Jr because he is from the Philippines too. Why can't he be white?
Ah, I got it. A white Roy Jones!

If Roy Jones was white, his 1st name wouldn't be Roy, it probably be William or Robert or Lyle, now those are white boy names.
Re: Did that fight really make people believe that Manny will be able to beat Floyd?
Loads of white people are called Roy in Britain. In fact i've never heard of a non-white Brit called Roy ;D

To be honest (from a Brit perspective) Roy seems like a bit of a silly name for a black guy. Unless it was short for Leroy ???

Complete misunderstanding. I will drop it, not here to make enemies. But I do know this.....behind closed doors people are different then on a forum or in public......And regardless of how Floyd acted if he was white about 50% of the Pac ball huggers and White men over 50 would be sitting in line to suck his balls. But I guess when hes acting like this color has nothing to do with it? Fuc outta here. So many people are racist yet find something else to blame. Same assholes that duck and dodge the questions about Pac and in return bring up Floyd. If you can't answer a Pac problem cover it with Floyd. And when you can't admit you have an issue with him cause of skin color...blame it on his money stacks.

But the incredible hype on Pac has been based on his recent fights. These are all fighters that had big question marks going into their duel with Pac...but more importantly...they where handpicked because Pac had a CLEAR speed advantage. Despite that...Manny has still shown (even last night) that his defense is filled with holes. While his flurry of punches and action packed style is exciting...it can be tremendously exploited by a fighter that is skilled and fast. People keep pointing out that because Pac can take a punch from a bigger guy...this somehow translates to how will do against Floyd. Or better yet...because he can land combos on bums like Margo...he will do the same to Floyd?! Wake up sheep!!! It's easy to hit a slow, stationary target that comes forward. It's a whole other thing to hit probably the greatest defensive fighter of all time. Pac can fight one way. Floyd can adapt to anything. Floyd will do what Marquez did except 100 times more effectively. Mayweather will be content on picking Pac apart with laser like precision. He could care less about a brawl or war. He will put on a master class. But for some of you...you think a big win over a one dimensional, slow as molasses cheater is evidence of Pac winning??!!! Sure thing.
I have asked you this question before but you just ignored it. Or maybe you don't have the answer to the question ....
When did Pacquiao reach his prime and when did it start going down, or do you still consider him to be in his prime?
Now, some more questions ....
Is Marquez in his prime when he was beaten by Mayweather at a higher weight division?
bump

ummm people would joke on Floyd with the whole KFC thing cause Mayweather is acting like a chicken by finding thousands of excuses to not fight Pacquiao, IMO neither guy is scared of one another, i'd call it racist if they photoshopped a pic of Mayweather eating KFC with a side of watermelon
Re: Did that fight really make people believe that Manny will be able to beat Floyd?
Okay now I'm tempted to actually do it ;D
