Miguel Cotto is still fresh enough to take Mayorga....its a great style matchup for the fans though and Mayorga has always come ready to fight, for the most part. Cotto is fresh, he's actually got a solid trainer and yeah I think that extends his career quite a bit longer.
Bullshit.
Lewis, Piccarillo and Vargas were all good fighters.
And FUCK Manny Steward he's nothing but a know it all whore and a gun for hire.
He ABANDONS his fighters as soon as they lose, and steals fighters from trainers they have been with their whole lives only to cash in and get out.
We all forget what he did with Cintron and Taylor ?
Mayorga has a damn good shot at beating Cotto and I think that he will in fact defeat the much smaller Miguel Cotto.

Re: Cotto-Mayorga: Who wins?

Re: Cotto-Mayorga: Who wins?

You can call bullshit all you like......Lewis?!? Piccarillo?!? Good wins, decent fighters but as I said those wins happened many moons ago. Vargas USED to be good, the version Mayorga fought was garbage, that my friend is a FACT.
As for your misguided view on Manny Steward, Jermain Taylor #1 didn't listen #2 apparently JT liked to party more than train...Cintron was a bitch everyone knows it. As for Manny ditching fighters that lose, Wlad lost to Brewster in one of the first fights he had Manny as his trainer. Cotto NEEDS a good trainer, Evangelista Cotto won't be training him and his strength coach didn't know anything to tell him vs Pacquiao...Manny will teach him well, Manny helped out Naz, De la Hoya, Holyfield, etc at certain points in their careers and they left him not the other way around.
I don't know where you get this "much smaller" part, Cotto maybe gives up a couple inches in height a little bit in reach but hell its not as if Mayorga knows how to use height and reach to his advantage...both fighters will weigh about 170 tonight.

Wlad is the only one he has not left in recent years after a loss and thats cus Manny makes too much money off of him to leave him.
Cotto was a small welterweight. Mayorga in recent years has been a full fledged 154 lber and fought at 160 his last fight.
He IS the bigger man.
Regardless its going to be a hard fight for Mayorga but he can do it. He can catch Cotto backing straight up with his left hand at his waste doing an impression of Floyd Mayweather.

Re: Cotto-Mayorga: Who wins?
Vargas don't count. He was bordeline expecting triplets and sadly was Mayorgas stepping stone, cruel irony.
WAR um....POLITICAL UNREST Foreman !!!! Yes streams please, pretty drunken please ;D
-
Re: Cotto-Mayorga: Who wins?
Does anyone know what time Cotto/Mayorga is scheduled to start?
And what time Martinez/Dzinziruk is scheduled to start?
Thanks!

Re: Cotto-Mayorga: Who wins?

Re: Cotto-Mayorga: Who wins?
Foreman looks heavy! Good but heavy.
-
Re: Cotto-Mayorga: Who wins?
"Yuri translate to George".

Re: Cotto-Mayorga: Who wins?
No knee brace on knee after surgery ??? Showtime card beginning, let the multi viewing start.
Jeezus Foreman looks all buffed up

Re: Cotto - Mayorga Fight Thread
The Lion of Zion is a pretty badass nickname.
-
Re: Cotto - Mayorga Fight Thread
I will be friendly to Foreman today. He does look a bit bulky though.
Wolak looks to have a style that I am more into though. Hopefully a nice starter before the main event.
-
Re: Cotto - Mayorga Fight Thread
Woah, Wolak really lives up to his nickname. He just keeps on coming.
-
Re: Cotto-Mayorga: Who wins?
Wolak looks like the tazmanian devil there
-
Re: Cotto - Mayorga Fight Thread
Foreman better get the hands moving right NOW. Round Wolack, he's a man possed. Think Yuri wishes this was 12 rounds. Andy lee resembles a puppet
-
Re: Cotto - Mayorga Fight Thread
Can someone PM me a link to the Showtime card? Mine keeps making me restart it and it's pissing me off.
-
Re: Cotto - Mayorga Fight Thread
Wolak is well aware of Foreman's light hands
-
Re: Cotto - Mayorga Fight Thread
Foreman doesn't look good at all so far. Wolak all over him.
-
Re: Cotto - Mayorga Fight Thread
Roy Jones is the best former boxer turned announcer. I love hearing him do color for fights.
-
Re: Cotto - Mayorga Fight Thread
Gotdamn he's funny looking
quality post that one :p

Didn't help. Could it be because I'm trying to watch two Veetle streams at the same time?
-
Re: Cotto - Mayorga Fight Thread
3-0 to Wolak. Foreman really seems rusty and that's understandable, but he's going to lose this one. Wolak is relentless.
-
Re: Cotto - Mayorga Fight Thread
Gave that one to Foreman but think he has rib issue, dudes damn near hitting him clean in the back with chopping right.
Pedro Saiz in his corner, what a contrast in style ha
-
Re: Cotto - Mayorga Fight Thread
I think Foreman will going lose by TKO
-
Re: Cotto - Mayorga Fight Thread
Wolak can't miss. Foreman is 4 down and IMO has no way of stopping Wolak.
Weird choice of opponent for a comeback bout. I am liking Wolak a lot, really fun style.
-
Re: Cotto - Mayorga Fight Thread
3-1 Wolak.....Foreman might have to bring the stool out with him next round

Try a different browser for the second stream.

Re: Cotto - Mayorga Fight Thread
Foreman can't take bodyshots at all. I wonder if he was injured in training.

I agree!
I have Cotto vs Mayorga on my laptop, Martinez vs Dzinziruk on the TV. I REALLY hope one of these undercards end early so I don't have to keep switching my attention between fights.
Lee vs McEwan won't go the distance. Both fighters are landing big shots on each other. Lee is struggling fighting being backed up and is getting tagged often and hard with a straight left.

Re: Cotto - Mayorga Fight Thread
Edged that one for Foreman, Wolak is taking some huge breaths now...uppercut would do wonders on him
Andy lee getting smacked around abit in 4th
