What time does the Taylor card start? I seem to have a couple of hoodlums rolling on the floor trying grab Mr Winkie. It is unpleasant.

Oh, ignore me. I see the rolling men have gone.

The lesson learned in the past decade is knockout or lose.
-
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 20th - Jermain Taylor back in action
Geezus, Jermain has a tattoo of 2 dog tags around his neck? WTF is that all about. lol.
Here we go with Hearns-Lara, I wonder if Tommy is in Ron's corner.
-
I gave Francois every round. His name won't be remembered but he was robbed of a clear win as big as Abril was robbed from where I sat. Phoney "just take it and shut up mr opponent" draw aside.

Bad stoppage.
Hey girl, good thing you smiled when you said that. :(
Haha, I actually chuckled when I saw her say that! ;D
While i'll agree that the Texas boxing commission, ref, judges, et al, need an overhaul, I don't agree with a lot of the other criticism the State gets. I've lived all over the U.S. and I can honestly say this, there are far worse places to live than Texas, and living here has worked well for me.
No need to defend Texas, bro. It's a cool place and needs no defending. It's the boxing commission there that sucks. Also, I can't stand the Dallas Cowboys (I only like the cheerleaders), but other than that..........
;D
I think they're all just jealous, ;)

Wow, 1st round KO for Lara, I didn't expect that, Lara is the real deal.
-
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 20th - Jermain Taylor back in action
That was a bit quick. Lara looked evil.
-
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 20th - Jermain Taylor back in action
Hearns just got James Shulered
-
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 20th - Jermain Taylor back in action
I bet Paul Williams wants no part of Lara-Williams II.

Showtime doesn't do swing bouts do they?

He better reconsider his career now or he'll also inherit pops power of pronunciation
respects to the Hitman...he'd still flatten my ass with that right ;D

Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 20th - Jermain Taylor back in action
Taylor looks to be in great shape, and he's got a neurology clearance from the Mayo clinic, so we shall see. I watched Jermain get knocked out cold by Pavlik & Abraham, I don't care what the Mayo clinic says, severe concussions cause brain damage, there's just no 2 ways about it.

Tommy was an amazing warrior, even after getting destroyed by Hagler he said some in the post fight interview like: "Let's do it again". He went all the way from Welterweight to Lt. Heavyweight, not many pugs do that.

Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 20th - Jermain Taylor back in action
This is a bit dull. Not much happening in this one so far.
-
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 20th - Jermain Taylor back in action
I like the advice given by Tom. He seems like a solid, knowledgeable type.

Agreed big time. But I think he should have got out much earlier, after Barkley even. Too much chasing worthless trinkets at multi weights, but when your a legend and star it has to be hell to let go of that well earned shine easily.

Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 20th - Jermain Taylor back in action
Truax hasn't done too badly so far, I get the feeling though, that Taylor is going to lower the boom on him in the next round or 2.
-
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 20th - Jermain Taylor back in action
4-0 Taylor.
The fight is getting better, but Truax really needs to start opening up more if he even wants to win a round.

It's a shame that Tommy didn't do better with his ring earnings, he seems to have blown most of it He might be one of those good hearted fools who gave most of it away.

Jermain has tons of ring experience, Truax is just doing the best he can, he's pretty limited as far as what he can do.

Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 20th - Jermain Taylor back in action
Boring. Throw some fricking punches short bald man.
-
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 20th - Jermain Taylor back in action
Barry Thompkins and Gerbil Farhood work well together, they're easy to listen to, and not the least bit annoying.
I reckon we'll get another dose of Gus Johnson tomorrow night.
-
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 20th - Jermain Taylor back in action
Jermains eyes looking rough and he's getting that 'robotic' stiff look. Career wise he's really just treading water waiting on a phone call. Like the dude but man, tick tock...
-
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 20th - Jermain Taylor back in action
Oh fuck, Taylor knocked down and he looks hurt.
-
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 20th - Jermain Taylor back in action
:-\ fuckin A son....finish -this- fight and g.e.t t.h.e h.e.l.l OUT!
-
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 20th - Jermain Taylor back in action
Finally the fight comes to life. Taylor looked fucked on the floor. 'Here I am again' he was thinking. Taylor is lucky he is fighting a guy that doesn't fight inside or throw punches. This is an opponent who is unknown. Oh dear.
-
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 20th - Jermain Taylor back in action
Taylor making it so ugly. I would dock points from him.
-
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 20th - Jermain Taylor back in action
That was scary, I thought Taylor might be done after the KD in the 9th round.
-
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 20th - Jermain Taylor back in action
Taylor buzzed again off right...he'll get this win but if ever we are seeing cannon fodder to come its Taylor...I almost blame Showtime if the feature him vs a name
-
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 20th - Jermain Taylor back in action
Stupid fight. Dull for the large part and Taylor winning but showing the same weaknesses and clinching like a homo for most of the second half of the fight. He should have been warned and docked. I wanted Taylor to win, but I thought he looked like crap in the end.
-
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 20th - Jermain Taylor back in action
Haha, got up and did his thing? Deluded.
He got up and clinched like the second coming of Ruiz.
-
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 20th - Jermain Taylor back in action
Taylor needs to be saved from himself...sorry bro but he sounds like a dellusional fool living on pride alone in that interview. I don't want to see him fight again
-
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 20th - Jermain Taylor back in action
Has Jermaine Taylor been smoking meth?
-
Re: ESPN and Showtime FNF thread for April 20th - Jermain Taylor back in action
Jesus, the guy is raving. Just talk man, stop shouting all over the place. He's like me after 9 pints.
