There is no advantage, it ruins the fight. If you find out halfway through you're losing a fight no matter how much you kick his ass, it is going to demoralise you. I'd rather find out at the end and at least the public would force them to give you another payday.

I think it was bit of both.. he didnt follow the scenario.. I dont think he was supposed to go down that early but when he got caught early, he got shook and decided to pack it in.

He already got paid plus the "fat white envelope" on the side so he wanted to go home early to pack his bags for the free cruise to the bahamas.

It was bad acting though.. this dude was supposed to be an experienced veteran so for him to go out that early wasnt believable.... he could have got up..

He probably took some verbal thrashing by a coked up oscar afterwards cuz now everybody is questioning the legitimacy of the knockout..

Actually after seeing the replay (I watched it on a shitty stream last night), I think the fight was fixed.

So one shitty stoppage, one possible fixed fight, and one bullshit decision. What an awful night.

just saw the Lopez/De Leon rematch, and honestly was just a fight to see who's more shot than the other, Juanma was slow and still getting touched up by a guy who never really had speed to begin with, Lopez did score the bigger knockdown and looked to already be getting the best of De Leon so it was just a matter of time but the stoppage did look a bit premature, that said it was a pointless fight that will secure Lopez another title fight/big money fight, but he probably wont win, only title fight he could maybe have a chance in winning would be against Gonzalez since he's just as chinny and does get caught and Lopez does still have the power to do damage, but other than that the guy should just take his ball and go home
