Yes, there are truckload of guys who would be..
Name a truckload. I think Id back Price at 5/1 against anyone.
If they were to fight today, Pulev, Fury, WIlder, Arreola, Perez, Jennings, and Chisora would be pretty big favorites against him..
Perhaps 5/1 is a bit too much but either way Price would be a sigificant dog..

I think Id still have him as fav over Chisora and probably Perez.
Re: David price..is he still a contender?
Ok sure I've definitely overstated Haye's case there last night but the @ross 's example of Haye vs Thompson was not a proof of anything. Haye was greenish and Thompson whilst aged was a veteran boxer. And this represents his only other career loss, but most importantly! Haye HIMSELF was a Cruiser when he lost to this opponent!!!

Who did hebeat at heavy that makes him such a great heavyweight?
Chisora? Fury did that when Chisora was unbeaten and Fury was a novice.
Valuev? A lot of people thought he lost.
Thats it!
Thats his achievements at heavy.
Cruiser?
What did he do at cruiser? Lost to Thompson.
Re: David price..is he still a contender?
I swear these Brits overrate the shit out of David Haye, it makes me sick.
Exactly Ross, WTF has Haye done at HW that makes him so great..
And some of ya are still flapping your gums about how he'd knock Fury out etc haha .. is that why he faked multiple injuries to bitch out of a fight fully knowing how he'll lose out on a 5 million dollar payday?
Some said Haye backed out because he had bigger money fights lined up.. Well which fight does he have scheduled?
Where the hell would he get more than 5 mill? He already fought like a hoe against Wlad so nobody wants to see that again.
He could have made millions by fighting an " easy " opponent like Fury yet he just punked out..

Haye never offered Thompson the rematch. He didn't want it, just like he didn't fancy the Fury fight when the reality dawned on him that his ego was about to be crushed.

Hasn't beaten anyone, never will
Job Biscuit (U heard it from me 1st...remember)!!!!
eh eh!!!
Re: David price..is he still a contender?
I can understand the criticism of Haye, I can.
But I personally don't think Fury and to an even greater degree Price stand any chance against Haye.
First the cut, that was a serious wound man just days before the fight. He could not have fought with that under any circumstances. Any brush would have opened it up. I don't think Haye would have liked to be stopped by Fury on the premise he could not control bleeding in a fight he would surely be winning.
No he has not had an extensive HW record, true! But considering his career overall it's pretty impressive.
I mean you can see that the guy is slick as oil and hits like a piston as well and fast.
Arreola would be a far tougher opponent for Haye than Fury and as for Price..
Well LOL that would just confirm Haye as the giant killer he aspires to be.
My main criticism of the guy is that he is inactive and talks a lot of bullshit!
I think he fought a tactical fight against Wladimir. He gave Wladimir his hardest challenge yet since Samuel Peter and made him miss all night. Sure he did not deliver on his promises and fought just looking to land a money shot but against Wladimir what more do you expect.

Re: David price..is he still a contender?
Imo Haye would have beaten Vitali Klitshko in his last 5 years or so. Trust me, fuck all that "who did he fight" BS. I don't think a late version of Vitali would have been mobile enough.
He stepped it up to the top dogs pretty quickly and started whacking them around.
His short run at HW has been pretty comparable to Evander Holyfield's run at HW from Buster to Bowe.
A few B-level boxers, a couple of fossils, met Bowe, got outboxed.

Haye moved up and fought Barret, Valuev, Ruiz, Harrison, Klitschko and Chisora and thats it!
He only scraped past Valiev and should have lost. Did nothing but crawl around V Klitschko and cry about how he fouht with an injury, although a lesser injury kept him away from Fury. A cut eye in a fight that eill last just a round is nothing compared to losing mobility and not being able to launch your right hand (apparently...) for 12 rounds against Klitschko.
That is not comparable to fighting Douglas, Bowe, Mercer, Holmes, Cooper, Foreman etc
Wise up!
Re: David price..is he still a contender?
Maybe Haye had a bit of trouble getting his right hand off against "W" Klitschko because he out-talled, out weighed him by an enormous amount and is about as fast as you can get for a man that size and skilled himself!
Honestly I don't see that Haye deserves that much stick for that fight, really, I think he did alright really. Wlad vs Haye featured some of the fastest reflexes and shots ever seen in a HW fight, even despite Haye's workrate being sub-standard!
He did fucking beat Valuev pretty convincingly, I mean how else can you fight a guy like that being the size of Haye??
And Haye would not even be ALLOWED to have fought with that injury imo, it was a gaping gash! It was just incredibly stupid of him to be sparring so rough right before his fight and I'm sure he didn't deliberately set out to ruin his image even further.
And I tip Haye to have knocked out fat ass Douglas and crude slugger Cooper, UD Larry, easily UD George and then probably lose by KO to Bowe because of his chin.

Your deluded.
Even a near 50 year old Holyfield looked better against Valuev for fuck sakes!
Fastest reflexes ever seen in a heavyweight title fight? Is this the only heavyweight title fight youv ever seen?

Holyfield LOST to Valuev. And show me a HW fight with faster reflexes than Haye vs Wlad? There would be precious few!

A heavyweight with quicker reflexes than someone who gets caught and dropped by Monte Barret?
Corrie Sanders showed quicker reflexes when he fought Wlad:rolleyes:
How about Mike Tyson that beat Michael Spinks?
You sound like someone whos just stumbled across boxing. Haye does not have quick reflexes otherwise how the fuck did a retired 40 year old Thompson knock out a 23 year old Haye? Haye never wanted a rematch.
Have you just found found boxing?

Have you had a picture of Tyson fury tattooed on the inside of your eyelids ?
Re: David price..is he still a contender?
Corrie Sanders was never very elusive, he was quick handed. He simply caught and overwhelmed Wlad early, awkward southpaw style and unexpectedly.
Mike Tyson, yeah definitely he was similarly reactive and swift as Haye (I did say there would be a few). But the stupid and ridiculous example of Tyson vs Spinks was definitely not one of them. "Reflexes" were very little on display on that fight. Spinks was simply a dead little man as soon as he stepped into the ring, he could never hope to have matched that kind of power and aggression.
I tell you what, watch a marathon of the whole performances of David Haye and you tell me how often he is really tagged compared with other top boxers.
So what he got tagged by Monte Barrett. Barrett is a decent boxer and most importantly Haye smashed Barrett. Since when did getting hit just a few times in a whole career compromise ones skills???
