True enough my friend but I am of the mind that Toney gets to much credit and Carbajal does not get enough. I agree though. Toney and Williams is a much better fight.

Re: This day in boxing. A look back.
Julian Jackson was a freakish power puncher. Drayton took the punches but I am sure it did not do him good. Terry made one mistake, like Herol Graham, and it was over.
-
Re: This day in boxing. A look back.
I was in Las vegas when Jackson fought Drayton and I bet on Drayton. I figured he had been in with better guys, Philly fighter and all that. Oops.

Re: This day in boxing. A look back.
Moore offered the rematch to Durelle right after their first fight while Moore was doing the post-fight interview himself. He told Durelle "you know nobody hit me that hard, your performance is something to be proud"
But Durelle later explained that Moo're team pushed the date of the fight till they were sure Durelle (a simple man, a fisherman) over worked himself in camp and started to miss his family... Durelle was never in it the night of the rematch.
Durelle was all power and heart. A simple man, living a simple life, but possessing brute talent that made him a freak of nature. Even at a late age, a few years before his death, he would still declare "My head just won't give up, I still can do it"
