Floyd is not afraid of anybody and once knocked out a super middle weight or so says Errol Spence
"I'm tired of everybody talking about how Floyd Mayweather is afraid of this guy. I trained with Floyd years ago and I fought at 168 and he was fighting at 130. He was sparring a guy that was a super middleweight and knocked him out. I have seen him spar bigger guys, so to say he is afraid of a guy his size or smaller just bothers me coming from people who have never boxed...and that's okay. And it's okay to give your perspective on it and that's okay too, but now I'm happy that it's happening and it will be great for the sport," stated Derrick James, world-class trainer of fast-rising welterweight Errol Spence, who shared his thoughts on the upcoming May 2 showdown between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. $4,000 a day for grub? Obscene.
100 million people in the world starving. 3 million kids a year snuff it from lack of food/nutrition related problems.
Watched an up-to-date IFL interview with Frank Warren yesterday. They never mentioned the fight once. Sky must have it.
Mayweather is not paying that much for food.
It's publicity for the fight.
You guys are so gullible!
They're selling the fight by "lying" about how much Floyd pays his personal chef? Damn, they must be really struggling to sell it then, I was gullible enough to think it was the biggest fight ever
The fight will decide the first ever recognized World Welterweight Champion in the eyes of the Transnational Boxing Ratings Board. (formed in 2012 by Boxing historians and Writers after the alleged decline in standards from The Ring ratings panel)

Could Dirrell/DeGale be added to the undercard ? Maybe
Unlikely but DeGale think there is a possibility
"I've not been chopping wood like Mayweather has but I like it, it's old school and Mayweather is an old school type of fighter and I've seen how he trains at his gym.
I've been doing all kinds of different things in training, sprints on the track to two hours runs up Hampstead Heath as well as working in the gym.
I've trained at St George's Park [the FA's National Football Centre and home of the England football teams in Burton] and I'm going to be spending a week up there for my fitness because they have got great facilities. They have a hydro pool, an altitude chamber, sports scientists and they have even put some bags up for me. It's going to really help.
I've not got a date yet but I think they have to let me know by next Tuesday. There were rumours it was going to be in Chicago on April 24, but I've been told it's definitely not going to be then, so maybe it will mid May sometime.
Eddie [Hearn] was looking at putting it on in London on April 25 so I'm seven weeks into training camp anyway, so the quicker it happens for me the better.
There's a little chance it could be on the Mayweather-Pacquiao undercard in Las Vegas on May 2. I would love that obviously but I doubt it; I think they would've announced it if it was."

I couldn't care less if Floyd paid four million quid a day for his food. His dough - right to do what he wants with it.
The contrast between what the super rich "need" and what the poorest of the poor "have" is quite clearly disgusting. It's just an observation. Not an attack on Floyd.
Did you guys notice Floyd kinda acting strange ever since this fight getting negotiated and the deal done with? First he took his sweet time vacationing in some tropical island and enjoying himself before finally putting his signature for the fight. And now he's feasting on luxury foods everyday like a king. What the heck is he thinking of? Is he thinking the end is nigh?
...gotta watch this fight...
While Manny Pacquiao is boxing to win free chicken for life, Floyd Mayweather is spending a decent used car on food every day.
TMZ reports Money May is paying Chef Q, a Las Vegas-based chef, $184,000 to keep his tummy full between now and the fight on May 2. With a little over a month left until he and Pacquiao meet in the ring, that figure works out to about $4,000 every day. To put that amount of money into perspective: that's 17,798 chicken McNuggets, or 1,338 Crunchwrap Supremes per day.
Of course, Chef Q doesn't usually charge this much but says Floyd felt her "dishes were worth that much." Floyd Mayweather has a lot of money.
Good find. Yeah I read this one a day or two back. It seems so odd that he would start now. I mean i'm not suggesting he's trying to buy the victory in essence but this has gotta be publicity fluff... If he lost and said "oh its because my chef didn't use organic food.." I'd probably shut my tv off for a month. Laying off the burgers I can see, but no brownie points for overpaying for meals buy at least 700 dollars.
It's like a rocky montage. all we need now is the article where Manny is drinking raw eggs and doing pulls up from a leaky sewer pipe and pulling a cart of boulders behind him during his roadwork.
Anyone else find this a little cheesy on floyds part? (organic, gourmet, expertly prepared cheese, of course)
Golovkin visits Manny in Gym, insists they could meet at a lower weight in future
"Golovkin, who recently paid a visit to see the ‘Pac Man’ at the Wild Card gym, believes he can comfortably make the 154lb division, which is the highest weight class Pacquiao and Mayweather have competed at during their careers.
Asked about the move down, he told fighthype.com: “Absolutely, absolutely.
“Not a lot of weight to lose, because I’m regular at 167.
“My last fight I was 58, three pounds is…I’m not a big guy. Look at me, I’m not big, I’m not strong, heavy."

In fact GGG insists he is willing to fight Floyd or Manny at 154
"The Kazakh sensation has admitted he is eyeing up a potential showdown with one of the iconic fighters and when asked whether he could make the requisite weight limit of 154 pounds, he provided an emphatic answer, per Luis Sandoval of fighthype.com:
“Absolutely.” said the undefeated star. “This is business. I understand; this is boxing business. It’s not a lot of weight to lose. My last fight, I’m 58. I’m not big guy.”

Roach thinks Manny is the better boxer ? :-\
"I think Manny is the much better boxer, because he's had someone to teach him along the way. Mayweather, I think, he trains himself," Roach explained.
Most pundits believe that Mayweather has the advantage in terms of skills, especially when it comes to defense, against Pacquiao.
But Roach disagrees. He believes that Mayweather never learned how to box because the American "has never had a coach."
"He grew up in the ring. He grew up with his uncle (Roger Mayweather) and his dad fighting, but he just became a fighter naturally," said Roach. "He is self-made. But the thing is, he's never really had anyone teach him how to really box."
"So (Mayweather) does set traps, but if you're smart enough, you will see it. And Manny's smart enough to see it," said Roach.
Roach noted that Mayweather is "very, very good" at setting traps for opponents, where he tries to get them to attack him only to be stalled by his shoulder-roll defense, upon which he fires off counter punches.
"But he does it over, and over and over again," said Roach. "I know when he does it. I showed it to Manny, how to take that away from him."

Manny is not a slick technical southpaw by any stretch of the imagination. Floyd is.
Those fights would never happen. GGG is too big a risk and would be too big and strong for both guys imo.
If mayweather or Pac called out someone (nevermind called out, even a rumour) from a lower weight division they would get crucified for it but over the years we've had MWs calling out these two WW (who can both make LWW imo) and everyone is excited. And I bet we will have idiots saying they ducked GGG.

Floyd has refused to agree to pay a penalty should he be found to be doping
"Floyd Mayweather Jr. has refused to agree to anti-doping proposals set out by upcoming opponent Manny Pacquiao, who wants either fighter to be fined $5 million for a failed drugs test as preparations continue for May 2's bout.
As reported by the Associated Press (h/t ABC News), both boxing icons have agreed to adhere to World Anti-Doping Agency rules. This means random, Olympic-styled blood and urine testing will take place before and after the fight to ensure no misuse of illegal substances.
However, with the main contract negotiated, Pacquiao's camp have pushed for the aforementioned fine to be imposed if either fighter posts a positive result. Michael Koncz, Pacquiao's adviser, recently indicated Pretty Boy's camp are unwilling to play ball, per Dan Rafael of ESPN.co.uk: "Today we were informed that Mayweather turned down the request."

Makes sense... Floyd is in charge and is dictating the terms of the fight, not Pacquiao.
I've been reading other sites and now Pacquiao fans are claiming Floyd is cutting down from 170 and that is his advantage. All from pictures of them in suits haha
This stuff is crazy, I have never seen such a lying fan base. I suppose it makes sense since team Pac lies over and over and over again but my god, this crap is pathological
Floyd fans are.........
