Pacquiao is an amazing boxer. He has provided us with hours of great fights and many many entertaining moments. He is however a liar and a cheat who should be remembered as such. He took advantage of a flawed testing system and cheated by using PEDs and in doing so ruined his reputation in the sport and as a human being. He put other athlete's lives at risk for the sake of his own career and ego. He is therefor a piece of shit.

Pacquaio has passed all the required test and will continue to pass every test given to him. When he defeats Mayweather and i know he will, which will shock the whole world, he will be remembered as truly one of the greatest in boxing. I hope by that time, you will recognize his skill, talent, and heart.

There is no question he has skill, talent, and heart...but he also had a tonne of steroids to help him on his way. Lance Armstrong never failed a test either. He also had skill, talent, and heart, AND PEDs! It's a shame that these guys had to cheat to achieve what they did, because they already the natural strengths to achieve greatness on their own. They only hurt the sport and other fighters while they helped themselves.

Re: Will Floyd Mayweather Come Out Throwing Bombs to Shock Everyone?
In the past I mentioned that I am not a Mayweather fan but lately I find that maybe he is growing up. All that aside, he has been dominant and I see no reason for him banging it out with Manny. Floyd should go in remembering his shoulder roll is a last resort and he should be using foot work and in the later rounds after frustrating, yes I said frustrating Manny then weigh down on some punches as long as he can throw combinations to hide what's coming. True Manny was knocked out by Marquez and Juan was easily defeated by Floyd but remember these guys, Manny and Marquez fought four hard fights and that has got to take something out of you and Manny came back. Floyd's defense is good but he has been bullied lately and his work output has decreased and both men are not what they have been in the past which makes for a more exciting fight. Floyd will adapt and Manny will pressure.

Floyd's been bullied...Pac has been knocked COLD.

If we have a double KO, do they both lose or is it a no contest? I've been having nightmares about this!

Floyd Mayweather needs to come out smoking. Pacquiao will be all over his ass from the opening bell. Mayweather will not be able to run all night long. He can run but he can't hide. At some point he is going to have to sit down hard on his punches and throw some serious leather. If he doesn't start this punching before the 7th round he is screwed. if he runs 7 rounds he will not win any of them because pack will win on number of punches thrown and sheer aggression. by the 8th or 9th round Mayweather will not really have that snap or pop in his already questionable punching power. He needs to sit down in the first or second round in land some Neck jolting shots right on Pacquiao's snout just like Ali did to George Foreman in the first 6 minutes of their fight to put that question and to put that doubt into the big punching George Foreman's mind

Manny is going to make Floyd look like one of the women Floyd beat up. Manny is going to win and dedicate the fight to domestic violence.

This is not a "who hits the hardest fight".
This is about a speedy powerful southpaw by the name of manny pac who CAN overwhelm fighters with his movement, power and persistence.
We can argue that he beat a past it hatton and a weight drained cotto or a post Moseley margarito but these fighters would still have been an issue at that time for anyone else in the welterweight divison.
As the fight get closer it is still very evident that manny is the best opponent for floyd at this time and with speed and movement he will cause floyd trouble.
The problem is that floyd will be super sharp in this fight and those clustering manny punches are waiting to be countered.
The real problem that manny has is that he has been too loyal to Freddie roach and another trainer could have shown/taught another side of manny that would correct his faults and be a much more complete fighter than the one we see today.
Remember, floyd has the mind frame of a winner and the adjustments he can make are truly amazing.
Manny has 5 losses and a draw against a guy he put down 3 times in the first round!
Get ready for the cramps excuse around the 6-7th round and manny fighting for the last minute of each round like he did against an injured bradley.
This might sound harsh but we could be looking at manny doing a "no mas" around the 9th round after the constant pot shotting and countering that leaves him in an embarrassed cramped daze.
Yea both Rios and Margarito could take Pacquiao's punches, only they both took a shit load of them. Rios wasn't laughing after the fight.
I'm not so sure Pacquiao would be a better fighter going with a different trainer. I don't think Hatton going with a different trainer did him one bit of good and actually probably fucked up his strengths and his head. What ever bad habits Pacquiao has doesn't mean another trainer can fix them.
Floyd might come out the way he did against Corley, but what will it accomplish? Floyd sitting down on his punches will make him a little less harder to hit. Even a slower Corley made some good connects. I think he has less speed with his punches when he does through the harder punches. He faster punches are all arm. I think if he does come out throwing bombs, we all win.

There's no controversy. Steroids don't make you punch harder.

What does that have to do with anything? Pacquiao had them in trouble because they left themselves wide open/walked on to shots. Not because he had super human steroid punching power. Clottey and De La Hoya largely covered up against Pacquiao which clearly lessened their chances of being KO'd. I don't get how that's difficult for anyone to grasp - if you walk on to a punch - it increases the impact, if you pull away from the punch or partially block it, it lessens the impact.
You need to point out where i am 'bullshitting myself' because i haven't declared that Pacquiao is 100% a clean fighter - because nobody on this board knows, and the same applies to Floyd or any other top level fighter. I have no allegiance to Pacquiao, nor do i particularly care about whether he's taken PEDs or not. I couldn't give two super shits. I'm just pointing out that KO/TKO wins over two fighters who tried to go to war with a much faster and more accurate fighter proves precisely fuck all. It just means they got punched in the face and they went down. It doesn't mean Manny Pacquiao was on steroids.

Don't take my word for it...take Freddy Roaches:
"Hatton is not the same since getting KO'd by Mayweather"
He said the exact same thing about Cotto.
He said this about Oscar:
"De La Hoya can't pull the trigger anymore at 147"
Getting KTFO has everything to do with boxing....a sport that has everything to do with CONDIFENCE.
If you think any fighter has the same level of confidence after getting KTFO for the FIRST time in their careers didint negatively effect them as fighters....You are too dumb to reason with.

There's no controversy. Steroids don't make you punch harder.
Hatton and Cotto were coming of KO losses.
When a fighter walks away from the biggest fight ever over drug testing....that is controversy.
Don't bullshit yourself...that's never a good thing.
I'm not even arguing that.
I wasn't even talking to you when i was making my initial point. My point was in retaliation to somebody else who was arguing that Pacquiao's KO power at the higher weights could possibly have been a result of PED use. I was disagreeing, stating that there were other factors which enabled Pacquiao to register KO/TKO wins over Cotto and Hatton. (Namely their respective styles, which were probably more suited to Pacquiao in terms of him being able to knock them both out).
If anything you're strengthening my own argument by listing other factors other than steroid use. So thanks. In future, if you're going to insult people at least make sure you're on the same page, otherwise you just look a bit daft.

Re: Will Floyd Mayweather Come Out Throwing Bombs to Shock Everyone?
Manny has increased in size and weight from 106 lbs to 147 lbs all the while maintaining his speed and stamina and high KO ratio. Manny doesn't have one punch KO power that came from PED use. He overwhelms his opponents by outworking them with his super human stamina and speed which he's maintained through a regimented PED program. Only since he's stopped the PEDs has he seemed more human -- slower, less strong and less capable of outworking opponents to get KOs. Is he a terrific fighter? Yes. Was Lance Armstrong a talented cyclist? Yes. Look what PEDs did for each of their careers and look at how they performed after the PEDs.

This notion that PED's are only useful for increased power is totally outdated. People can use PED's for endurance and recovery as much as anything else. Manny, for whatever reason, is no longer the same fighter. He not only lacks the KO power...but he now lacks the same explosiveness, relentlessness, and stamina. Is he still a good fighter...yes. Is he the unique force he was several years ago...no. This fight will most likely come down to which fighter is able to use their ring IQ, adapt, and implement their strategy. Manny's no longer has his biggest strength IMO...explosiveness/athleticism (no matter how much Roach and company try to say otherwise). Floyd has also slipped some physically. But he has so much more to fall back on...skill set, ring IQ, being able to have a plan A/B/C. etc.

We don't know if Pac was clean or dirty because he pulled out of the fight. We can make assumptions but we can't know for certain because he wasn't willing to fight Floyd in 2010 with drug testing unless he could choose the dates which makes testing pointless.
But skipping that, anyone that says PEDs don't work is ignorant. Every single sport where performance can be directly measured it is proven without a doubt to make a tremendous difference. Not a small difference, tremendous! They can give you better recovery so you can train more which makes you better, you can train harder which makes you better, you can train more often which makes you better. PEDs can improve speed, strength, stamina, they can help you gain weight or lose weight to make your body precisely right for your needs. They can improve your confidence which can improve your will. They can give you a rage which can help pain tolerance and drive. The benefits go on and on. And every sport that you can't directly measure success claims "not in our sport" remember "steroids can't help you hit a baseball"? Oh yeah morons? Look at home run totals since testing was implemented and look at totals since it's been improved. It's proven that "steroids can't help you hit a baseball" is f'n ignorant. Steroids can increase bat speed which has many effects on hitting a baseball. Just like that steroids can increase punch velocity. Suddenly that punch that was a fraction late gets there. PEDs can improve stamina so that guy that is arm weary in the 9th is suddenly fresh as a daisy and landing 40 punches. They work and they're f'n dangerous and any scumbag that uses them deserves to be in prison. All PED cheats are f'n cowards. The lowest pieces of shit on earth.
But that is all beside the point. PEDs work. And anyone suggesting otherwise is ignorant.

I'm not taking the trolls side by any means, I agree with you totally. However, it's hard to find two guys that took a punch at WW better than DLH or Clottey, those guys really had anvils for chins. I doubt it was a case where neither of them at any point walked into a punch, as much as neither of them had ever been seriously hurt to the head by anyone.

Yeah i mean that contributed aswell. Clottey and Oscar are both big guys. Clottey was so durable. Almost like a WW version of Sakio Bika. But he rarely left himself open long enough to be landed on cleanly in the same manner that both Hatton and Cotto did. Both were far too reckless, against a guy who was both faster and more accurate. But like you said, neither Clottey or Oscar have ever really been in trouble from a head shot anyway. Only one i can remember really was when Floyd rocked Oscar towards the back end of their fight, but again that was when Oscar walked on to a counter, and he was only really briefly wobbled by it.

I'm not saying they don't work. I'm saying Pacquiao's so called improved punch power had a hell of a lot more to do with the make-up of certain opponents than it did with PEDS....considering nobody on here even knows if Pacquiao was clean or not.
There's just a hell of a lot more variables involved. It's just lazy and actually libelous to suggest his supposed increase in punch power is solely attributed to PEDs.

Re: Will Floyd Mayweather Come Out Throwing Bombs to Shock Everyone?
Nonsense.
Sit down and look at a teen Manny throwing caution to the wind. If drugs are the debate then he looked more on them then! Hahaha.
Manny has always been a heavy handed, high output fighter. Hatton was at the end of his career and thought he was bigger. He underestimated Manny and got sparked. Cotto thought he was too. He got pounded. So did DLH.
Manny only stopped DLH with accumulation. His fights at higher weights have mostly gone the distance and Manny if anything is more conservative and intelligent. That is the only difference.
If he was on drugs it was earlier in his career, but at LWW and up he is simply more rounded and intelligent. We have no evidence about drugs. Arent most teenagers thinner than when they approach their 30's?

You just don't know boxing.
Clottey was hurt by a left hook to the chin by Carlos Baldomir.
Oscar has beed dropped or wobbled several times by head shots.

There is nothing intelligent or well rounded about Manny's game.
No CLEAN fighter walks away from 50% of the biggest figtht in history over a 14 day cutoff.
