Rios is one of those fighters who just might stay retired.
Time for same day weigh-ins to stop stuff like that happening.
Someone better watch Rios. retirement speech from the depths there!
Lamps is seriously talking up Bradley vs Canelo??? Are you fucking high man?
Bradley is 31, he will be going up in weight shortly...he's gonna need to become a crafty boxer. Looked improved to me, didn't get sucked into a brawl, just potshotted and either tied up or moved away.
I wouldn't look too much into how Bradley looked tonight. Not only was it a perfect style match up for him, it was also against a fighter who really had nothing left.
Very good win for Bradley and for Teddy as well.
Rios is a typical bully punk. Gets stopped and humiliated so now he's just gonna take his ball and go home and retire.
Uhh maybe if your fat ass didn't weigh 23 lbs over the limit tonight you coulda taken a few more body shots.
Good win for Tim who was very active and sharp. He ground down his man with the energy. Rios is probably on the slide now. Bradley has another 10 big fights in him IMO. Excellent fighter.
I thought Bradley looked better than ever. Terrific performance.
However, Rios wasn't just poor but he is arguably the worst fighter Bradley has faced since he beat Junior Witter a hundred years ago.
I don't think Rios is what he was but I'm going to stay on the positive side here. We should give a big hand to Bradley and Atlas for a totally unexpected outcome, for most of us, to that fight. I hope we see them continue to to produce some exciting fights.
If Atlas was my corner man he would annoy the hell out of me, but it works for Bradley so I'm going to keep my negative thoughts to myself. ;D I'm cool with it.
Bradley fought like a stud last night. Committed to the body and broke Rios down round by round.
What also impressed me about Bradley was how elusive he was in the pocket. He slipped a lot a punches up close, even during exchanges.
Somebody pass me that plate of crow and worcester sauce, I thought for sure Timmy would start to stand in front of him with his hands at his side. Teddy did a great job in the corner with simple, sound fundamental advice. Sure he slipped a little when the camera came in the corner with a little yelling but I thought he did a great job. Tim fought a masterful fight. Just a great performance.
Ps- Its insane that Rios hydrated 24 pounds. He was heavier then Golovkin in his last fight. That shit should be illegal. Rios looked spent but honestly much of that look was because Bradley put on a clinic.
They really need to do something about this weight bullshit.
It seems a very tight relationship bud. Both are cut and dry and very passionate. Time will tell though and if any rift comes it'll probably revolve around who Atlas and HBO want as future opponents. On Canelo v Bradley I think HBO is 100% serious but it rings as empty to me. Just another convoluted possible CW between two names out of convenience who already have plenty of work to do in own respected divisions. Rios came off and came in like he was just there for a fat :-X payday but Tim kept discipline and tore that fatty up. Love to see him dive into a very deep welter division and looking forward to it!
Rios said he made weight after taking a big sh!#t.
That said it all.
Watched the replay earlier tonight.
Bigger fan of Bradley now, that he stopped Rios.
Was hoping Rios would go out with a KO loss.
He should retire... he's a joke.
I was a fan of both these guys, I figured Bradley would win but expected more from Rios. I've mentioned a few times in the past I thought Rios should retire as I think the guy is punch drunk. Rio had some impressive fights and a good career, I hope he sticks to retirement so he can enjoy the brain he has left.
