The new season comes back on Wednesday, October 4 @ 9:00...for those that wanted to know.
Also...seaons 2 should be on dvd by mid September.
Here's my whole thinking behind all of this mess...the Island was set up as an experiment by the Hanso Foundation as a Eutopia kind of situation.
A better life for a better tomorrow & alla that shat.
It all goes wrong with behaviorial experiments & what not & the Degroots get all wild & everything goes to pot.
The black smoke is the watch dog of the island...in some way shape or form...the plague is just bullshit to keep everyone in check & when they find out what's up that's what set's them all off & brings them to war against each other.
I honestly believe that (no matter what they say about Desmond crashing the plane) the Lostie's are there for a reason related to all of this.
I could be wrong...
Also...if it's Aliens...I will boycott the show.
Seriously. The show is going in such a great direction & all...that would just ruin it for me.
This season is supposed to be set at a slower pace & Desmond's wife/girl is supposed to come to the Island in search of him after she follows the EMP back to it's source.
Supposedly...she's going to hook up with Jack...which leads me to believe that Des will bite the bullet...sooner or later.
Loved the way it ended.
The show is the bomb.
Wacko, that news,I love brotha!! Thanks, have the best CC I have given!! Yessssss,I can't wait!!!!!!!!! I'll try to download the episodes whilst it's on Stateside so I can keep up with you guys! I can't wait! I agree with some of the stuff you said Wacko but I think that black smoke thing is somwething else. Also, remember that monstor that savaged the pilot RIGHT at the beginning, was it the smoke? Actually,Wack, you could be right, remember when there was a noise in the jungle Russo said it was the security system? I also believe Russo knows alot more about whats going on and I again,I agree Wack,I don't think Desmond crashed the plane,I think there is some other purpose because they are alllllll waaaaaay to linked for Desmond to just have crashed that particular plane.
Think nothing of it babe. Always down to help on this end with the details.Quote:

Rumor has it that he sent the actual Henry Gale in search of Desmond & that is the guy that crashed the ballon on the Island a handful of episodes back.
Ive given up on the show after the first season. The first was good but after a couple of the second seasons...i just gave up, it got boring to me.
Try picking it back up...it's a whole lot crazier than it was. Nothing boring about it.Quote:

I still have yet to see the finale, but it should be out on DVD soon.
I wonder if that show The Nine they've got on after it, they're really hyping it up.
Oh shit, the new season starts next weekend.
I still haven't seen the season finale, I don't know if they've released the second season yet but if I can't find a copy I may need like a written summary of the finale, I'm sure a lot happened.
Duuuuuuuuude,do you mean it starts like today?!?! You have to see the last episode of season2,it answers zilch and asks MORE MORE AND MORE(typical Lost). It was very intriuging! I think you should download it,if you can't Ill write up something for you if you want? I've seen it 3 times!Quote:

So what did you think? Any theories? I know season 3 will tell us more about the others!
I don't know, I need to watch it again, I was slightly intoxicated. :)
No but seriously I thought Charlie was acting really bizarre at the end after the incident in the hatch. Really bizarre, like nothing happened at all.
I don't know why they chose Hurley to leave, I really am not sure, and with this show I've given up on coincidences. There must be some reason.
One question for everybody. Love the show, great show, are there almost too many characters? I don't know, its not a big problem but you can go whole episodes, even two episodes without seeing Sayid much, or Charlie, or Claire. I don't know, not a big problem, still love the show, I just hope the cast doesn't get much bigger.
Need to watch it again.
I don't think it's too bad having too many characters as we get to see different perspectives etc but I do agree that many more and it would begin to lose focus(like SAW2)
Watch it again and tell me what you think,I was blown away by EVERTHING,Desmond coming back, others taking those 3,letting Hurley go,the fact that the people in the station John and Ecko went into were actually an experiment themselves, and I was most intrigued by:
Desmond's wife coming to the island??
That HUUUUUGE FOOT with like 4 toes!! WTF!!
What the big sound blast was and whether Ecko,Desmond and John are alive.
I know this may sound stpuid but do you think the button is real? My original thoughts were that it was fake and that these particular persons were chosen to go on the island for a reason,I mean a doctor, builder, cons, etc etc BUT IF the button is real, then that theory can't be right, they were not preordained to be on the island, they got there because Desmond failed to push the button!
Mannnnn,I looooooove this fwokcing show!1
Releasing the magnetic pulse is gonna have mega effects on everyone this season I think.Quote:

Can't wait. I think that Ecko will probably have to drag Locke outta there as I think that once all the juice that was building up in the magnet left out...then everyone goes back to normal & everything might get normal on the island....that's just a theory of mine.
John could walk on the Island, Rose's cancer went away, Sun got preggers, & blah blah blah...so on & so on.
Things will be interesting this season. Can't wait.
Hurley, IWO, was the weakest of that group. They got all the strong able bodies & some how...some way...I have a sneaky suspicion that they are all Dharma babies.Quote:

Need to watch it again.Quote:

Can't wait for the Widmore's to get there myself.
That's the whole time travel/warp hole shit that I keep thinking about...but I hope not. Hope there's some other answer besides an alternate dimension.Quote:

About Hurley though, does that open up the question of, are they all "Dharma babies" or just some of them? I've totally shit on the idea of coincidence in this show. And if Hurley was the weakest of the group, why did they have his name on the list? If they just wanted to have somebody to go back and tell the rest of the people it could have been anybody. Maybe they just had his name on the list for no reason, knowing that he was gonna be one they would let go, but again coincidence and this show just dont seem to go together. But then are all the people not on the list not special, I mean there seems to be some weird shit going on with Sun and Claire, oh fuck it I'm confusing myself.
Either way, tomorrow night should be good.
Is it on at 8 or 7 tonight
It starts at 9 on my side of the world. ;DQuote:

Oh well...we shall see.
By the way El Gamo you might not wanna read these posts from now on, spoilers
OK
Not living in tents apparently
Hahaha Jack's got a glass jaw ;D
Bit of a slow start, except for the start showing the mini town which was cool, but I guess that's to be expected for the first episode.
So I guess its Ben instead of Henry
Am I the only who thought it was semi hilarious that when Kate asked why should I put the headcuffs on and Henry/Ben said because if you don't you won't get any coffee....and then she immediately put the handcuffs on ;D
Come the F*** on now ;D
Holy shit man.
That was pretty much just what I wanted.
Okay...sticking to my thoughts that the Others are actually the DeGroots.
Also...pretty cool to know that they were in the Dharma Initiative's (Hydra) Animal Studies joint. The aquarium explains the shark with the logo on it's tail from the raft episode.
My new favorite is Henry Gale...or Ben...or whatever you want to call him.
The plane breaking apart & the view of the Island from the Other's camp was great too.
Here's my thing though...if your'e on an Island that can not be traced by anyone anywhere on the earth...if that Island is not displaced in time...how does it stay hidden as such?
Next week's episode looked awesome from the previews...looks like it's time for the battle before the war.
I didn't know there was such a thing as headcuffs, I meant handcuffs
Ok, why do I not know what you mean when you say the DeGroots? I guess I missed something
Good question. Something to do with the button/magnetic field maybeQuote:

I like that the show has a kind of odd bent but I don't want it to go TOTALLY over the top.
I wish the Nine wasn't on immediately after Lost, I think the show has promise but after Lost ends I want to discuss the episode and I've just been kind of half watching the show
The DeGroots were either involved with or were a part of the Hanso Foundation. On top of the behavioral experiments & society settings that the DeGroots were into...the other project that they were in to was something like a "Life-extension Project".Quote:

I love that shit...I just want some more answers.
Hillarious.Quote:

Ha, I need to start taping it, although apparently you can watch the episode again on ABC.com so I might do that.Quote:

The Others being able to know so much about Jack's life, especially his life right before he went to Australia, is interesting.
Some kind of communication with the rest of the world?
In the original scene, the book club scene, was there a CD player there?
Gotta watch it again, if there was then there's undoubtedly some link with the rest of the world, I'm pretty sure there already is but that would pretty much prove it
BTW what's the dog's name, he should be the main character this season
Did anybody see any children at the village?
Ok, Goodwin was sent off right at the beginning when the plane crashed to find out about the tailes and get a list, so why were they attacked that first night before he would have been able to really get these things done, to come up with a list?
That didn't happen to the front section people with Ethan. The fact that it happened the first night is odd to me.
I mean there were two people killed (or taken, I can't remember) that night right? Why would the Henry Gale others kill or kidnap some of the tailies before Goodwin got them a list? I'd have to go back and watch the episode that showed what happened to the tailies but I think two people were killed. That doesn't really make sense, the main group, the front section group weren't systematically attacked like the tailies were. The tailies seem to have had it much worse, they had more experience with the Others. Was it maybe the other faction of others?
The Henry Gale others set a line that they didn't want Jack's group to cross, its not like they were really attacking them like the tailie group was being attacked. So were the Henry Gale group just for whatever reason taking it easier on Jack's group than the tailies (why?), or maybe it was the location of the Tailies on the island?
Or the other faction were the ones attacking the tailies, maybe even that first night, and there just more agressive?
Just thinking out loud, probably gibberish, but I am a bit confused about the first night attack on the tailies. The timing doesn't make sense to me.
But here's one thing, Ethan didn't seem that interested in Walt. Least I don't remember him being that interested, its been a while since I saw season one and I don't have it on DVD. He was interested in Claire's baby, then at the end of the season Walt was kidnapped after Ethan was out of the picture. When did the Henry Gale others become interested in Walt?
Absolutely...hence the food drops at the middle of the second season after the button wasn't pushed...or was pushed late...right around the time that Henry Gale got locked up.Quote:

Its not that they didn't start the fight, my thing is that they came for the kids on the first night. That's what I think is odd. The Timing Cause Ben tells Goodwin to get down there, listen, don't really get involved and to bring him lists in three days. But the children are taken that first night.
Unless Goodwin managed to somehow sneak back that same night(guess its possible cause Henry said the shore was only an hour away) and tell Henry that there were two children, and then Henry decided to just go ahead and send some people to take them.
By the way, in the opening scene, did you notice how Henry was looking up at the sky from almost the moment he came out of his house? Nobody else was at first, there had just been that noise, but Henry was looking up immediately, before the plane ever started to make real noise or show up overhead.
Do you think we maybe just a little bit overanalyze the show ;D
I think that with the Goodwin/kids situation...you just keep forgetting "the whisperers in the woods" angle.Quote:
