Rubio wilts, Trump strong in Republican debate
Man, it's like a free-for-all in there.
Just put them all in a ring and have the survivor win.

I don't dislike Rubio in the least bit.... but I find some truth in what his rivals are saying that he gives the same canned God bless America speech every time out. After a while it starts to get old and in need of more substance.

Re: Republican Candidate Poll
I admit I like Rubio but do see some valid critiques.
-
Re: Republican Candidate Poll
But to those who have known him longest, Rubio’s flustered performance Saturday night fit perfectly with an all-too-familiar strain of his personality, one that his handlers and image-makers have labored for years to keep out of public view. Though generally seen as cool-headed and quick on his feet, Rubio is known to friends, allies, and advisers for a kind of incurable anxiousness — and an occasional propensity to panic in moments of crisis, both real and imagined.

A propensity to panic in moments of crisis. That's just what you want in a President.

Since Cruz is a citizen, it would be highly unlikely his citizenship would be revoked. Laws can't be ex post facto but a ruling by the courts could change it for future generations. As for Cruz, the argument is moot. He is currently a citizen and that ain't gonna change, sorry.
Born in Calgary, Canada, as an anchor baby for an illegal Mexican immigrant. Yes sirree, as American as apple pie. He was a Canadian citizen too up to a few years ago. I think we need to see the mother's birth certificate. The long form version too, the actual original copy. So we can check the kerning and make sure it's real. Why haven't we seen the birth certificate?
Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump told a New Hampshire crowd Friday morning that his rival Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) was "an anchor baby in Canada."

The polls I've seen have him up double digits but I'm losing faith in polls. Both he and Sanders lead the pack in NH if the polls are accurate..

Trump delivering his victory speech right now.
Scary to think the support he gets.

Re: Republican Candidate Poll
Holy cow, Sanders and trump kicked ass. I looked at both of them as almost joke like candidates at the beginning. Funny how this shit plays out. Bush did well enough to hang in for a bit. Sanders win I NH isn't that much of surprise in the granite state isn't that shocking but the way he ran away with it was. A trump v Sanders election would be one of the more interesting elections I can imagine, a socialist v whatever trump is but at this point I still don't see it happening. If Hillary didn't get in maybe we will see Chelsea in 12 or 16 years. If Sanders wins I'm moving in with Miles for a while.
-
Re: Republican Candidate Poll
I said months ago Sanders could win Iowa and New Hampshire and lose everywhere else. Both states are lily white and Sanders hasn't shown he can get the blacks or the browns to vote for him. Unless he can he's going to lose pretty much everywhere else.
He's got no chance in a general election though. Americans aren't going to vote for a total overhaul of their healthcare system though. Just on that point they're going to go with the status quo. Add on that he's a bad tempered old Jewish socialist from New York and he's just not electable.
Trump had a great result. He's shown that the people who say they'll vote for him will actually turn up and vote. The establishment have had a nightmare. Rubio was their blue eyed boy but his software glitches at the weekend may have finished him. The most devastatingly bad debate performance since you're no Jack Kennedy.
The establishment have the choice between malfunctioning robot Rubio, a guy with the last name of Bush or Kasich, a guy who conservative voters will hate and who has no money.
Let's go Donald. Bring those jobs back.

Re: Republican Candidate Poll
Miles. America has about a 100% debt:GDP ration. Japan's ratio is two and a half times bigger, a 250% debt:GDP ratio.
And here's their current bond yields.
Japanese Government Bonds - Bloomberg
Yesterday the ten year yield was actually negative. Investors willing to lend money to the Japanese government for ten years and then just get their money back. Willing to lend them money for thirty years and make 1% a year.
They're not expecting
a. the government to collapse, drowning in debt.
b. yields to spike and cause a.
c. a lot of inflation. None at all over the next ten years, maybe one percent a year over the next thirty.
And just as importantly, they're not seeing anything else anywhere in the world that looks like a more attractive investment than just getting their money back.
Just saying.

Re: Republican Candidate Poll
The Clintons are counting on south Carolina to start things swinging their way. You are right Kirk, the African American vote, in polls at least, favors Clinton, but she is so flat and monotone and lacks a sound bite message that resonates. Trump recently told newhampirians he doesn't care about their safety in the recent snow storm as long as they make it out to vote for him.
Trump also said he could stand on fifth ave and shoot someone and not lose any votes. He may be right. But neither Sanders or trump have carte Blanche. How does Sanders plan on getting through all this shit he's talking about? Maybe executive orders?

Nah, it's all just pie in the sky. You can't executive order single payer healthcare.
Hillary is a rubbish candidate. Endless issues. A scandal may well blow her candidacy up yet but even if Sanders is the nominee there's no way he'll win the general.
America is so pissed off with the establishment. Look at the vote totals for moderate new Hampshire.
Anti establishment people. Trump, Sanders, Cruz, Fiorina, Carson. 300 000.
Establishment peeps. Hillary, Kasich, Bush, Christie, Rubot etc. 220 000.
Fuck me. Fear and loathing baby.

I wasn't talking just about executive order on health care Kirk which aspects he could do but it would be unlikely. I was referring to other policy aspects that I don't see going through congress. Do people have any idea this shit wouldn't pass. I did expect you to be contrary anyway Kirk, I'm just surprised it took more than 2 minutes, are you stalking me with your utter nonsense.

Nothing that President bernie proposes is getting through Congress. I'm just using one example. No need to get so angry about it.

Re: Republican Candidate Poll
Trump plays to all the baser human emotions so prevalent in American society these days;
Fear of the outside world, and of anything that is different from you.
Ignorance of other customs, societies and traditions
Internal polarisation, black against white, rich against poor, left against right
Anger that the US is somehow 'not great' or 'not feared' anymore
Aggression in a generalist, unfocused way
Intolerance, in that it should be your way only and everyone else is wrong.
Sanders also plays to some base emotions, but slightly differently. In fact, he is playing the Jeremy Corbyn strategy almost to the letter;
Playing to the so called disaffected
Pretending to not be part of the 'political norm'
Harnessing unfocused anger at an undefined 'elite'
Polarising people against the Right
Talking in very vague terms about what he would do, spouting generalist wishlists
Your election is pretty batty this year in terms of the candidates. Is this really the best you've got, guys? No wonder you are probably in decline as a country. You are going to get the President you deserve!
Very uninspiring ........ just like ours!

Whoever the candidate is..should they win the POTUS..they will have a Supreme Court with 3 members elected by the outgoing Democratic president, as Scalia is deceased.

Anything that she stabs for that isn't Conservative? Her business experience helps or hindered her?

Cruz and Bernie aren't moving anywhere. Trump will move to the middle the minute he wins the nomination. If he wins it. He can kick the shit out of Hillary on trade, Wall Street and her foreign policy by attacking from the left. If it's Trump versus Hillary the matchup will be absolute box office. Trump will be after her voters and she's weak and fragile on a lot of issues.

Because other than for a few fleeting days when she made a name for herself at the kiddies debate and got bumped up to the main debate she's never made a dent in the polls. She's been polling in the single digits for months now. So there's no reason to expect her do do well in the actual polls.

This went viral over the weekend in America.
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/nati...icle-1.2530470
1400 poor sods seeing their jobs shipped off to Mexico. This isn't unusual. Often Chinese or Mexican workers are flown in and the people losing their jobs have to train the foreigners to do their jobs. Imagine having to do that.
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/04/us...ents.html?_r=0
Who is the only candidate talking about this? Trump. Because the other cunts are bought and paid for by the same corporations and wouldn't dare mention it in case they get their campaign donations pulled.
Go Donald! Fuck those motherfuckers up! Every American should get out and knock on doors and get him elected. The only surprising thing to me is he only has 40 odd percent support.
Here's the latest poll in South Carolina.
Poll: South Carolina still solidly for Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton - CBS News
The three establishment candidates only get 30% between them. Trump is beating them all by himself. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end for the current American political corporate servant system.
-
Re: Republican Candidate Poll
Also, too. The campaign will cost Trump proper money even though he isn't entirely self funded.

Political Correctness has its roots in America and the idea that Trump, who has people thrown out from public meetings because they dare voice a different opinion, is somehow a champion of free speech, is a mistake. He is an ignorant and rude muthafuka who when he is pulled up on it, feigns ignorance and pulling out the old PC thing is just bollox. Here in the UK mate the discourse is dominated by Wankers like the current Tory Government who call refugees 'a bunch of migrants', Labour supporters 'terrorist sympathisers', and think disabled people are not worth 'a full wage'. Does that sound PC to you ? Always pulling out the political correctness card is just as bad, if not worse, than the kind of annoying censorship of common sense it is mocking.
But yeah we are all fools and Trump is? Some kind of hero, for being a filthy rich ignorant fuckwit?

Trump didn't get any likes. It's depressing how easy it is to get people to vote against their economic interests.

They are a bunch of migrants. Even the pro-migrant politicians in Germany and Sweden have admitted that two thirds to three quarters of them are economic migrants. They should boot the fucking lot of them out. Once they get to the first safe country that's it. If they go past there it's only because they're after jobs in the west.
