In reality, Canelo needs to fight GGG next if he wins. There are other good options at 160, but this fight fight has been marinating for years. It's getting too blatant that he is waiting for GGG to get older and lose a step. I used to respect Canelo but he has lost all my respect after he become the most pampered fighter in the sport.
This is going to be the very last payday for JC Jr. Junior SHOULD blast Canelo out of the fucking ring, he's bigger, he should be a light heavyweight, but geez just what the fuck has he done with himself?
vs Troy Rowland he got popped for an illegal diuretic and that bout initially a UD turned into a No Contest
vs Sergio Martinez he got his ears boxed off
vs Andrzej Fonfara he hit a brick wall he wasn't winning the rounds he was show boating and play acting and offered up not all that much to be proud of
I'm wondering if Junior can make the weight safely....Canelo can make 165 easy he's been making 154 for a right good while.
Junior SHOULD win and he SHOULD stop Canelo but IMO I think Canelo out works him earns a decision.
I don't think either beat GGG and to be honest at this point I'm not interested in either fighting GGG
I want to see GGG smash Canelo and Oscar to cry watching at ring side as his meal ticket loses.
I was only ever really interested in GGG vs Canelo due to the lineal legacy attached. I never thought it was the best match to be made at 160. I preferred Jacobs, Quillin, Lemieux, Saunders, Lee etc as they were all middleweight contenders. Now that GGG showed a few chinks in the armor vs Jacobs the Canelo fight interests me more. There are some good fights to be made at the weight so I hope they can start getting them done. If Canelo does lose to GGG I would still like to see him fight the likes of Jacobs and Lemieux.Quote:

I thought about it for a second but just cannot do it. Man this card is bad. If a stream pops up great but fans shouldn't pay 5 bucks for this. Chavez looks like a guy who got caught in the swindle trying to melt down in weight, looks pale thin. I honestly cannot take Canelo serious as a fighter and hope a light fixture falls on em if Chavez cannot manage to do it!
Yep. It always makes me sad when a sham is approaching and people start talking themselves into believing it's real. We canall hate Canelo but he is a genuine world class fighter. Maybe not the best in any division but right at the top. Chavez isn't one of the best in any division. He got by solely on being big.Quote:

Taylor looks good until the end of the round when he got hurt.
Taylor not doing a fat lot in the first and ate a pretty decent right hand in the last 10 seconds
Lucas looks a little more patient, traying to vary shots to the head and body. Buzzes taylor just a little at the end of the round 1.

Matthysse hurt Taylor at the end of that round.
Matthysse just far too powerful for Taylor, only success he had was when he doubled up the jab but nothing is coming after it.
Clash of heads hurt Matthysse and left him with a small nick over his eye, Taylor was doing really well until Matthyss dropped him, had him in a lot of trouble in the last minute.
I don't think that Taylor will get much help from this ref
Not big on chances of Matthysse at 147 but love to see him shine here. Moving Taylor with everything he lands so far.
Matthyss looking to decapitate him now, Taylor looked a little better there up until the end when Matthyss caught him again.
Ref is pissing me off demanding that the fighters and pinned to the very corner of the ring whenever there is a break, just wave them in and let them fight for fucks sake

I love watching Lucas fight, just like I hate watching Shawn Porter fight. Both are warriors... but Lucas fights clean and fan-friendly. Shawn swarms in and uses his head. Good comeback win for Lucas!!
