Assured?
Cool story bro. Nothing to see here.

āSo it's not on Sky in the U.K.? I don't have BT, so can I still get the PPV if I don't have a BT account?

Yes, just as you could if you did not have a sky account and wanted to watch Sky PPV Box Office.

Re: Golovkin v Canelo 2 CONFIRMED
Canelo will shoot for 3rd round KO.

Re: Golovkin v Canelo 2 CONFIRMED
GGG and his fans are all hoping for that.

For anything, for that matter.

Re: Golovkin v Canelo 2 CONFIRMED
I'm really worried that GGG could kill an of the PEDs Canelo in the ring. That tainted beef may have been all that saved him last time.

I agree it could happen. Canelo is not of the same stature as Triple G. Canelo's frame isn't the same. Triple G hits a lot harder as well and will be much angrier this time as he got really ripped off in that last decision and will want to finish this guy up quick this time. When you add that anger in there and that he really wants to make a statement he may indeed kill Canelo.
Round 3

At least Canelo is doing 'better' testing now. We will see how he really looks.

Re: Golovkin v Canelo 2 CONFIRMED
And that's another great point you just made. The fact that he's not going to be taking these substances anymore will certainly make him less powerful. but mentally he probably will still think he has the power that he had eating the tainted steak. That means this time he's going to come out and attack more and sit in the pocket and therefore I think there's a bigger likelihood of him really eating a shot and getting totally destroyed

I think so too. There are many so called 'experts' picking Canelo tho. Maybe they think GGG has slipped enough.

Re: Golovkin v Canelo 2 CONFIRMED
Canelo is thinking that he is younger and he is also thinking that he better jump on the guy quick so I think he will be really aggressive. I can't see him running like he did last time. I think he suffered a lot with a lot of accusations after that fight of running like a coward. The problem is going to be that he is going to step into the pocket like Pacquiao did against Marquez and I think he is really going to get jolted.

That's my feeling to, but I having a tingling in the back my mind that the timing for Canelo could be just right. GGG has been more inactive over the last couple of years, he's no spring chicken anymore either. A Canelo win would be pretty devastating for GGGs legacy.

Re: Golovkin v Canelo 2 CONFIRMED
I don't even know why Triple G is taking this fight. Everybody knows he won the first fight hands down. Then Canelo gets caught taking the hormones steroids whatever. Then the fight gets canceled. Why on Earth would Triple G waste his time and fight a guy whilst clearly being let's say one step over the hill which isn't much but it sure could do the trick. I always felt like the lighter weight classes got older quicker. the heaviest can fight on into their 40s but can you imagine Triple G at the age of 45 or something?

$$$
In the lower weights age plays a huge factor, but look at guys like Moore or Hopkins, they started out lower but were more than competitive at higher weights and advanced ages.

Re: Golovkin v Canelo 2 CONFIRMED
Munguia gets Brandon Cook on undercard. At first look that feels like a one way thrashing. Any chance they're just setting up his 160 debut with Lemieux-Spike winner? Or will Canelo get the winner for his comeback fight after Golovkin beats the freckles off of him.

Munguia has been talking unification, so I hope that's the path he takes. This will be a pasting.

Canelo's ban should now have ended right?

Yes, which is why he is due to fight Triple G.

Re: Golovkin v Canelo 2 CONFIRMED
Canelo is going to try to strike fast like a cobra. He will definitely be making his move by the 2nd or the third round.

Do you know what date it ended? The fight has been scheduled for months, but he was still banned. Just wanted to know the date it ended.

Re: Golovkin v Canelo 2 CONFIRMED
It's six months from February the 17th so I think it ended about a week ago.

I heard he ate a tainted burrito at midnight last Saturday. So he was still within the six months

Love to see unification and 154 is pretty deep to me. I'm banking on Charlo v Hurd to hook up first with promotion. Style wise Hurd and Munguia could be held in a walk in closet and be pretty brutal. Be interesting to see where he goes after this.

This style of wrapping is legal in Vegas tho.

Classic. All those advantages, wraps, weight, beef, judges etc and he still couldn't win.

Re: Golovkin v Canelo 2 CONFIRMED
Canelo really is a prick
This fight has become personal,ā Alvarez said in a blog post released by HBO. āI will use this in my favorāobviously with intelligenceāfor this battle. The cordiality that we had, not in the ring but outside of it, has ended because of many things. Because of the many times they opened their mouth. ⦠I know they are bothered, but I donāt know why since it is I who has made them gain so much [money]. They say they donāt worry about that. They say they donāt fight about that, but thatās the first thing they fight aboutāthe money, the purse. Thereās nothing else they care about more. Itās hypocritical for them to say otherwise.ā
On an objective level, itās hard to disagree with the notion that fighting Alvarez was a huge boon for Golovkinās wallet.
Before Golovkin made upward of $20 million for their clash last year (Alvarez reportedly pulled in about $50 million) Golovkinās previous purses were $2 million vs. David Lemieux, $2 million vs. Dominic Wade, somewhere between $3 million-$5 million vs. Kell Brook, and $2.5 million vs. Daniel Jacobs. Plus, after Alvarez had to bail on the original rematch date because of his failed drug tests and subsequent suspension and Golovkin fought Vanes Martirosyan, Golovkin earned $1 million.
But in his own blog this week, Golovkin said he isnāt impressed by Alvarez, writing heās actually not a special fighter.
āCanelo is my most important fight because he is my next fight,ā Golovkin said. āThat is the only thing that makes Canelo special. There was nothing special about him in the first fight. He did not fight Mexican Style like he promised. Over the last twelve months, Canelo has showed everyone his true self.ā
With only 14 days to go before their fight, the narrowing betting odds have stabilized in the past two weeks. As of Friday afternoon, Golovkin was -160, meaning youād have to bet $160 to win $100. Alvarez, meanwhile, is +130, which means youād earn $130 with a $100 wager.

Re: Golovkin v Canelo 2 CONFIRMED
I am sooooo hoping that GGG comes in for the kill. That will be the only thing that makes the fight worth it.
-
Re: Golovkin v Canelo 2 CONFIRMED
If Triple G comes in for the kill it will play right into canelo's hands. Canelo needs to break some jawbones in this fight by moving forward and stepping into the pocket. If Triple G is coming in for the kill Canelo has better speed and will knockout Triple G

To be fair he has been calling out and preparing for GGG for years now.

All Alvarez is doing is telling the truth. He has made Golovkin a lot of money. Money he would never see if he fought someone else.

Canelo is going to score a shocking one punch knockout in something like the third round to shop the world
