Re: Garcia vs Porter on Sept 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight belt
Everybody loves Broner.
Ugas finally opens up in the 8th, all over Barrionuevo midway through the round.
8-0 Ugas.
-
Re: Garcia vs Porter on Sept 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight belt
Ugas looking for body shot ko. As long as he's looking for it now ;D. 9-0 Ugas. Terry Crews and Porter working the pads there.
-
Re: Garcia vs Porter on Sept 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight belt
Much of the same in the 9th. Over-matched opponent.
9-0 Ugas.

Re: Garcia vs Porter on Sept 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight belt
Ugas reminds a bit of..... Terrence Crawford?
The way he shuffles into position, very little wasted motion, walking his victim down.... while the other guy is jumping up and down, wasting energy. He's always in perfect balance and ready to throw his shots.
He seems very cerebral in there.
-
Re: Garcia vs Porter on Sept 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight belt
10-zip as a fan like to see Ugas kick in the door on a lead. But I get it. Love the way PBC-Showtime manage to show entire top roster during a card.
-
Re: Garcia vs Porter on Sept 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight belt
11-0 Ugas, how is this guy in an eliminator?

Interesting one yeh. He's pretty calculated and similar slippery. No Crawford chip on the shoulder though. Buds a brutal finisher.

Yeah, Ugas seemed content with just cruising through this one. Maybe a little apprehension about Barrionuevo's vaunted power, but it didn't look like it.

Re: Garcia vs Porter on Sept 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight belt
Ugas hurt him with a right in the last round. Only 20 seconds left so it goes to the cards.
Won't take Einstein to get this one right.
-
Re: Garcia vs Porter on Sept 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight belt
About as clear a shut out that you can have. Blinding light between the gap in levels. 12-0 Ugas and off to bigger stiffer things I hope.

Re: Garcia vs Porter on Sept 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight belt
One judge gave one round to Barrionuevo. Be interesting to see what round the judge dropped his contact lens.
-
Re: Garcia vs Porter on Sept 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight belt
Call me nuts like to see him go with any of the top guys. Mandatory for Spence jr. Be careful what you wish for.

Re: Garcia vs Porter on Sept 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight belt
Danny looks ready to go. How he handles the bull rush will be big. He lets his hands go he should find Porter
-
Re: Garcia vs Porter on Sept 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight belt
Here we go. Round one ends with an exchange of big right hands.
-
Re: Garcia vs Porter on Sept 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight belt
Porter actually staying tall with a good bounce. Both exchange rights at the bell and Danny gets better of it. 1-0 Garcia
-
Re: Garcia vs Porter on Sept 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight belt

Porter stepping up the swarming. Geez I hate Porter fights.
-
Re: Garcia vs Porter on Sept 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight belt

-
Re: Garcia vs Porter on Sept 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight belt
3-0 Garcia, Porter's getting knocked out if he doesn't start getting out of the way of that right.
-
Re: Garcia vs Porter on Sept 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight belt
Gervonta Davis is channeling Nell Carter? 4th round heating up. Porter keeping his head. Nice 3 punch combo near end of round that caught Garcia flat footed.
3-1 Garcia
-
Re: Garcia vs Porter on Sept 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight belt
Porter's best round, may have hurt Garcia.
3-1 Garcia.
-
Re: Garcia vs Porter on Sept 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight belt

-
Re: Garcia vs Porter on Sept 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight belt
That was a close one, Porter 6th and opens up late. Garcia is feeling the physicality a bit. Porter going caveman to start 7th ;D.
-
Re: Garcia vs Porter on Sept 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight belt
Ohhh what the hell was that ;D. Porter literally walks into wide open right hand.
-
Re: Garcia vs Porter on Sept 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight belt
Here's the pressure from Porter I was expecting.

-
Re: Garcia vs Porter on Sept 8 for the vacant WBC welterweight belt
Porter's got to keep that right at up.
Danny cut?
Loving Porter's body work.
Close round, gave it to Porter.
