I have it 5-1 for Kovalev. He is controlling the pace of the fight so far. Obviously the score isn’t that significant because we are all waiting for Alvarez to catch him eventually once Kovalev tries out.
Generally I don’t think that mcgirt is a great trainer but so far he has done good work with Kovalev. Kovalev has paced himself well

Alvarez made a mistake this fight in thinking that Kovalev was going to fight the same way. He has just been looking for the knockout and now he is way down in the fight
Kovalev power boxed his ears in 9th. Pure and simple. That was good quality work.
I am honestly shocked that Kovalev is doing so well. I thought that he would be mentally broken, but he completely surprised me. The fight isn’t over yet though.

10-2 for Kovalev. Kovalev dominated that fight. Great comeback fight. I think it proved that the first fight was kind of a fluke. Kovalev got lazy and got caught with a big shot. This fight he was aware of it and just won the fight.
