I work really hard mate. You seem to think that everyone who voted for Labour must be some kind of dosser living on handouts. You are clueless and sound pretty bitter yourself. This a thread about Johnson as PM and after a couple days in office you are already asking for it to be closed down. What are you so worried about?
And also some friendly advice. Absolutely no need to say things like 'Get Help'. It's feeble mate. There is nothing wrong with my mental health but you joining in with the same tiresome trope just proves you don't have any valid points to make.
You sit in your home and moan , I will sit in my home and not give 2 shiney shites about anything like austerity .
Your moral stand is pathetic as you cant accept the will of the people. bitter twisted loser.
You work hard but march for austerity ? try working hard and earning more money then austerity isnt such a concern.
Ha! You are now trying to pretend that be concerned with someone other than yourself is a terrible flaw and must mean you dont work hard.
You are also telling me that I manage to sit at home and march at the same time now. (:
I am only concerned for myself and friends and family that is a fact.
I don't worry about people who march because they cant meet ends meat , I am just correcting you when you pass judgement on myself.
Like I said earn more money and austerity isn't something you would take a day off work to march for.
Working hard is irrelevant to the fact that if you don't earn enough money for your out goings then it is a failure.
You are a professional life victim , bitter and jealous, and your life could have been so different.
However you vote labour the saviours of the dead legs and doleites.
Al you are an idiot. Austerity affects everybody. Schools, The NHS, The Fire Service, Education, The Criminal Justice Service (Police, Courts, CPS, Probabtion etc) Loads of people from those sectors were on the march that day. I have worked in more than one of these sectors, unlike you, who no doubt is quite happy to use those services but wants liek Gandalf the right to slag off people working in them. TO be brutally honest If you are only concerned about yourself friends and family, then you are not a great citizen, and certainly not at all concerned about England as you falsely claim to be. These are the things and people that make England great. You have the cheek to cry about judgement being passed on yourself, whilst slagging off 10 million British Citizens as dead legs and Dolelites, because they chose unlike you, not to vote for a bunch of criminals. There are 66 Million people in the UK and Only 1 million of them are unemployed. Of them only a small percentage are scroungers and many of those would not have bothered to vote, let alone vote Labour.
If you can take a day of work to go on holiday or to some posh hotel for a long weekend then you can take a day off to stand up for the people that make England great. National Day rate for a UK press/freelance photographer is £400 mate and so one can quite easily take a day off to stand up for England or sometimes get paid for covering the real patriots doing so.
Hope this helps ;)

Doesn't the system pay full time carers ?
Doesn't the system pay people with disabilities who are unable to work ?
I thought that was the case, please correct me if the system has changed.
I am pretty sure that's how it used to work when my aunt looked after my uncle.
If they no longer pay carers then that seems wrong.
Yes Full Time Carers get paid, but less money then those on the dole. And yes Disabled people get paid whether they work or cannot. It is bloody more expensive to live when you are disabled.
Until 18 months ago I never claimed Carers Allowance. It then became impossible not to. That is over 22 yrs in which i provided care for nothing whilst working and bringing up the kids.I even put myself through UNI as a mature student whilst working full-time for the CPS in order to up my ability to earn good money, as I could see the care needs on me were going to increase. The care needs for my Mrs are now far more extensive and so I do now claim what I am rightfully due but I also work every week as I always have. So your bullshit about trying to work hard is a joke mate. You and your wife work without having to bring up kids, or care for anyone who is disabled, and here you are telling me to pull my finger out when I have worked my entire adult life? ha! I am not suggesting your life is easy, but for years I have had to put up with you and portraying me as some kind of scrounger on here, and that frankly is bullshit.
Do you run and/or own old peoples homes? I seem to remember you saying something about it years ago. Whatever, maybe you invest in property, the fact remains we live in a society in which plenty of people earn a lot of money for doing very little and many earn very little for doing a lot. It is nothing like the black and white simplistic vision you portray.

Are you on a hundred grand a year then? So what are you complaining about all the time? Cheer up.

Of course I am not on a hundred grand a year. You are so disconnected from reality Gandalf it is scary. Somebody needs to punctuate your pompous baloon.

I am disconnected from reality? It wasn't me saying my secret sources had the election close. I had the same view everyone else had. Didn't I tell you the loss of the North was coming? The only thing wrong was my hyperbole about Labour going down to 20%, probably next time though once For Britain unveils itself properly. Remember the Liberals? This is how they ended. Labour has NOBODY suitable to run. Poor old Corbyn seemed lost in Parliament. A very sad scene and a nice enough guy, but the party deserved that thrashing. It's done.

No I do not own or run old peoples homes, I thought you were saying you didn't get carers allowance and your wife didn't get disability allowance.
That's why I was puzzled thinking you couldn't claim it.
I do remember my aunt getting it to look after my uncle who had dementia.

Don't forget you were also the guy who said i was worse than some monster in the taliban who drilled holes in live children's heads. Nobody is ever going to go that low ,you ratty little
piss weasel.
lol.
Damn babybeaner we already went over the drill dude. I guess you are gonna hang on to it. I can’t help but notice how you get personal in so many of your insults with those who disagree with you. If you didn’t catch it I was jesting about the idiot thing in order to revisit the evil thing. You can take things as you wish though. Once again my couple sentence stanza set you off.

Re: Boris Johnson as Prime Minister thread
it's true that white westerners when they come back to their country from the far East will have a reverse culture shock and will have a very hard time cutting the mustard in their home country after being spoiled and red carpeted for decades.
It's like they think they are Joe Louis the brown bomber and after a while they forget about how long they have been away but they keep telling themselves that they can always go back and score a knockout and the next thing they get a bit long in the tooth and a step slow and they go back to their home country and they stare down the barrel of a young Rocky Marciano who knocks them silly and reality hits them.

Cutting the mustard eh? Nice use of an American idiom. Long in the tooth, another more English idiom.....wow look how cultured you are Monsieur
And hey whaddya know a Marciano fan as well....what no Dempsey-Carpentier analogy? I would have certainly thought Tiozzo would rate with a French boxing fan, but Marciano.....so impressive

Speak for yourself. Your problem was that you refused to consider upgrading your skill set or plan a new career path when back home. If you had done things differently you wouldn't even be back home. Don't think the same issues happen to others who have done things differently.
I have friends who have transitioned into private teaching (small classes), speech therapy, public school teaching (eurgh), college teaching, even truck driving. Nobody has gone home and done nothing. Some have of course gone off on new adventures. You are talking about intelligent people, with great resumes, and an ability to find new ways.

Re: Boris Johnson as Prime Minister thread
How you so easily throw around accusations like your problem was or your problem is. You need to get a little Grace you know a little bit more graceful with the way you communicate.
-
Re: Boris Johnson as Prime Minister thread
Also quit being such a know-it-all. You think you know everything. It sad if you don't see it. You're just a young know-it-all and it comes off as smugly arrogant.

Oh, do I Mr Let's bomb all the illegal immigrants (whilst actually teaching immigrants). You make blanket statements all the time.
Go back and read your own post which was obviously aimed at me as you wouldn't refer to yourself as a White Westerner. You are telling me that I am spoiled even though I worked hard to achieve qualifications you refused to consider and then suggest that one couldn't cut it even though I know many people who have gone home and done just fine. All I say is that not everyone has followed your own path. You might have to do split shifts and use public transport, but many do not.
-
Re: Boris Johnson as Prime Minister thread
Obviously aimed at you but did I name you by name? you come right out and say things like quote do you know what you did wrong this is what you did wrong unquote as if you know what the other person wanted to do. How dare you say things like this is what you did wrong. Who the hell are you to tell somebody what they did wrong with in their career path? Do you even know what they wanted to do or perhaps switch careers? You are an obnoxious sophomore and I'm starting to really agree with beanz on this
-
Re: Boris Johnson as Prime Minister thread
why should I consider those qualifications if I want to move into a different field for example? Who are you to tell me that I should have taken a certain career path? you know you are spoiled over there you know you are a white face. Don't deny it unless you have drinking so much South Korean Kool-Aid that you really believe it now. you think you could make it back in the UK or in the US? You could never do so in a million years you are too far gone
-
Re: Boris Johnson as Prime Minister thread
Beanz is right you have a complete empathy bypass. He is also right that you have no self-awareness. He is also right that you think you know the answer to everything at your age which is really rich. You also don't realize how you come across to others. you don't know the difference between a personal attack and somebody says something about bomb the immigrants? that's totally different than calling somebody personally out about their Asperger's or their autism or their OCD for example or telling them that what they personally should have done on their career path and where they went wrong. Who the hell are you to tell somebody so directly where they went wrong ?

I say it because these are discussions we have had. You called me spoiled and red carpeted when it is all hard work, baby. You don't get anywhere without hard work. And then you presume one even wants to go home and presume that one cannot cut the mustard? Pot Kettle Black. ;D
You can agree with Beanz all you like and that is neither here nor there with me. You don't want to have these discussions, then maybe stop being a bitter man not even engaging with the content of the thread.

Re: Boris Johnson as Prime Minister thread
You couldn't work anywhere near as hard as I worked for the past four and a half years. you would be huffing and puffing you wouldn't be able to make it. Trust me even with the huge age difference even now you wouldn't be able to cut it. Trust me. You're a wimp

Ahhh, you are a riot. No, I would just drive a car. If you do not like it then do something else. Upgrade your skills, change occupations. I am fine with being a 'wimp'.

I encouraged you to upgrade teaching credentials, Walrus has encouraged you to save, but we get accused of being white in terms of our thinking.
How is someone who invests massive time and money into their skillset spoiled? It is actually disciplined. The difference between me and you is that I don't make excuses for it all and accept that we have agency.
I wish you well, but you come across as bitter and frustrated lately. Your constant assertions that I couldn't make it are odd. I am much younger and believe in myself. The second part is something you seem uncertain of. After all you don't even seem to know why it is some are more likely than others to get interviews.

Re: Boris Johnson as Prime Minister thread
How do you know how much I have saved. Maybe I have more than both of you together. Why should I upgrade my skills just because you tell me to do it?
-
Re: Boris Johnson as Prime Minister thread
It's so easy to call somebody bitter. All you have to do is open your mouth and say it.

Nah, Walrus is likely richer than us combined. You should upgrade to avoid split shifts. It is to help you. Nothing more.

You know when you post a joke on here and it gets a few measly rep comments and likes - but then someone else posts exactly the same joke and does brilliantly?
Now you know how Theresa May feels.

Re: Boris Johnson as Prime Minister thread
In his first four days as Prime Monster of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson has:
Cut the disability benefits of 650,000 vulnerable humans.
Rolled back on plans to address the climate change emergency.
Banned any boycott of Israel and supported their renewed offensive against the unarmed civilians of Gaza.
Removed child refugee legal protections.
Rolled back his pledge to increase nurses for the NHS.
Told us that the NHS is no longer protected from a trade deal with the US.
Told us that future deals will be conducted in secret.
Blocked anyone without photo ID from voting in future elections.
Drafted new constituency boundaries to keep the Tories in power indefinitely.
Dismissed renewed calls for a second Scottish independence referendum causing further disharmony.
Stated that workers rights and Trade Unions are under threat.

Re: Boris Johnson as Prime Minister thread
The deadline of 1 January 2020 to make all trains accessible for disabled people has been ripped up in what has been branded the first “broken promise” since Boris Johnson’s election win.
Around 1,200 carriages – many of them on notorious northern routes, already dogged by delays and cancellations – will continue running into the next decade, The Independent can reveal.
The tally is one in every 11 in the fleet and 50 per cent higher than the number that rail companies had asked for permission to keep in operation, despite having had a full decade to prepare.
Some cannot accommodate wheelchairs, while others lack audio-visual information systems, easy to use handholds and handrails, or an accessible toilet – if toilets are fitted at all.
The move was sharply criticised by campaigners for better transport and for people with disabilities as a bitter new year pill for passengers to swallow.
Tanni Grey-Thompson, the multi gold medal-winning Paralympian, said: “I’m hugely disappointed. The rail industry has to urgently address what it is going to do to allow accessible transport and be transparent with its plans.
“It feels like there is tinkering around the edges. They’ve had plenty of time but just kept pushing it into the long grass.”
Darren Shirley, the chief executive of Campaign for Better Transport, said: “With 10 years to prepare for the deadline to make trains accessible, this is a delay too far and has let down disabled passengers.”
And Andy McDonald, Labour’s transport spokesman, said: “This government is not yet a week old, but is already breaking its promises...

Re: Boris Johnson as Prime Minister thread
First off holy mackerel that is one comprehensive list with supporting links!
Here are the ones that are the most upsetting for me: cutting benefits to so many people who are now marginalized; claiming that workers rights are under threat;. Saying that there will be no more Scottish referendum;. Not having enough train cars equipped for people who need assistance.
Trains are too expensive anyway what they should do is have a better bus system and each and every bus should be equipped for people who need assistance
