Re: So who's the male tennis GOAT?
There’s just something about Djokovic I don’t like.
He is definitely one of the best to pick up a racket, but he hit his peak after Federer was too old and Nadal was too injured. His actual level of competition apart from those two is pretty weak really.

1. Arthur Ashe
2. Gael Monfils
3. Jo Wilfred Tsonga

Watched the Gods of Tennis and Arthur Ashe was in it. Tyson has a tattoo of him too.
Re: So who's the male tennis GOAT?
Andy Murray’s family have branded a new promotional artwork unveiled ahead of this year’s Wimbledon Championships “appalling at every level” after it omitted the two-time champion.

Re: So who's the male tennis GOAT?
Don't understand the two young guys at the front getting the main centre stage surely its the three behind who should be there.
As we're just talking about Wimbledon here Murray has as many as Rafa so they have a case...........
Coincidentally I have as many mens wimbledon single titles as Tim Henman.
Re: So who's the male tennis GOAT?
Novak, Fed, and Rafa are spot on.
Martina's too pretty... Chrissie's too ugly.
Other than that, it's a great painting. :)
Re: So who's the male tennis GOAT?
Federer's my tennis GOAT! That dude's got skills for days, with his smooth moves and killer shots.
Re: So who's the male tennis GOAT?
Maybe that drawing was right about Sinner and Alcaraz being the future, they got into the semi and final of Wimbledon.
Will Djokovic beat them both and stay champion. It will also be a record 35th Grand Slam final appearance after he surpassed the tally he previously shared with American Chris Evert.
Djokovic has not lost a completed match at Wimbledon since 2016 and has not been beaten on Centre Court since 2013 when he lost against Murray. He is going for his 8th Wimbledon title and already won the Australian and French slams this year. Djokovic is 36 and still going strong.

He’s won the most grand slams in an era when probably the 3 GOATS played.
Players are fitter, faster, stronger and so much better conditioned that they are playing longer .
I can’t see a possible argument really.
Leon Spinks said “Ali will always be the greatest, I’m just the latest!”
Same can be said about Djokovic and Alcaraz.
Re: So who's the male tennis GOAT?
Great final yesterday and one game lasted 25 minutes. Classic final. Djokovic has attitude, teasing fans and is funny. People will respect him now that he starts losing and retires.
Re: So who's the male tennis GOAT?
He also showed great restraint in the semifinal against Sinner. Had all the reason in the world to go after the chair umpire, but didn't. McEnroe would've gone on a 30-minute rant and meltdown.
Re: So who's the male tennis GOAT?
Never thought Alcaraz would be able to take the game to Djok like that especially in Djok's own back yard on centre court.
It's good to see someone so young and talented finally coming through. This lad could seriously dominate for the next decade.
Re: So who's the male tennis GOAT?
GOAT - When will he go away?
"What are you still doing here?" Daniil Medvedev joked to Novak Djokovic following the Serb's historic 24th Grand Slam triumph.
Re: So who's the male tennis GOAT?
I say Nadal.
Djokovic and Federer are also legitimate calls and I would not argue with anyone that chose either of those two.
Each one of them has individual statistics that set them apart in one area.
For me, why I say Nadal is because of the amount of French Opens he won.
He destroyed everyone on that surface, even Djokovic and Federer when he was in his pomp and that’s what marks him out for me.
I also believe he would be clear at the top but for injuries.
His intense playing style meant he suffered many injuries.
What is spooky though is that the 3 greatest male tennis players all played at the exact same time.
In boxing terms that would have been like having Joe Louis, Muhammad Ali and Larry Holmes all fighting at the same time.
Re: So who's the male tennis GOAT?
Personally I was glad to see Novak win the US Open. Plus I hope he tacks on a few more majors before he's done. That way he distances himself from anybody else.
I could root more for Nadal, being of a similar culture as myself. But I could never go with the "dominant on clay" argument to choose a GOAT.
There is reason you have 4 major sites... 3 on different surfaces (hard court, grass, clay). To be a true GOAT you have to dominate and have multiple championships on all three.
