It sounded like a fun fight. I wanted Morrell to win but I guess Benavidez is the real deal. If Beterbiev wins again then that fight will be war.

Finally had a look at replay in 11th round and it was complete trip and 'swat' that landed on the bicep/should. Glove never touched his dome. I suppose technically ref stood on it and corner didn't ask for replay.
Canelo was right to duck and run away from David Benavidez.

I really enjoyed this card. Even the prelims had good fights. Cruz/Fierro was brutal. Morrell was too tentative at times and needed to let his hands go more, but he showed he belonged in the ring with Benavidez. I had it close on my scorecard, with Benavidez winning 114-113. Without the point deduction, I would have had it a draw. I must add that the pacing of the card was superb, and the absence of anthems was a pleasant change. I don't think Benavidez or Morrell beat Beterbiev or Bivol but Beterbiev is not getting any younger so we'll see how things play out if the fights happen.
