Kholmatov looks like he's in another weight class. Serious layoff for Ford too. All we've seen is annual inactivity catch up on fighters lately. Ford is going to need to stand in and let them off at some point.

ref should have ruled a knockdown as the ropes kept him up, then the round would have ended
Excluding the 9th I missed had this 6-4 Kholmatov going into the final round. No idea about 9th. Had Kholmatov winning 12th until turn around tko.

Another big take away here is that while a top champion defended and another champ was crowned, both Ford and Lopez indicated they are moving up to Spr Feather. So two more vacant titles to come. Although Ford seems more certain given the weight cut issues and specifically mentioned Cordina which can be easily made. Rematch with Kholmatov sounds out of the question which is a shame given the circumstances and sheer competitiveness of that classic.

Finally watched Raymond Ford v Otabek Kholmatov and have to say Kholmatov was the superior boxer. I had him winning the contest by quite a huge margin until he got stopped in that last round. That must hurt deep down.
Ford may be stronger at the higher weight but he is not beating Cordina.
